Was told that I had a leak in my transmission ( from garage that did oil change). Made appointment here and after they fully inspected my car was told transmission was fine and not leaking. They continued to check my car for the leak. They found it and showed me what the problem was. They were awesome. Would suggest that if you have transmission issues go see them.

This place is completely unethical. I paid them 80 bucks to check my girlfriends alternator and battery, and they told me that they both were fine. I took her car to B & K a few days later and they told me that both the alternator and battery were bad. B & K did the work, and her car drives fine with none of the issues she had before. Budget would not offer me a refund, and instead told me I got a good deal, and talked about thorough of a mechanical check they did. STAY AWAY FROM BUDGET!!!!!

This is 1 of the worst and most unprofessional transmission repair shop business in the city of Muskegon and I wouldn't recommend that anyone come here, they've been having my car for a whole month and a half, once they told me it was done I picked it up and it was still not driving rightly and then I had brought it to them again that same day on a Friday and the head Mechanic told me it was a simple fix that would be done morning but morning came & it still wasn't fixed cause he claimed the part for it hadn't arrived yet but Tuesday he'll have it ready to go, so Tuesday comes & he claimed that he was sick but Wednesday is the day everything would be good to go.. Wednesday morning hits not he's claiming that he's having trouble putting the part in now... THIS IS SO RIDICULOUS AND A DISGRACE THAT YOU CAN CALL YOUR SELF A MECHANIC AND A TRANSMISSION REPAIR SHOP FOR CARS

We are from Iowa, and had repair work done in June of this year. We were in Muskegon on vacation, and after a trip from Mackinac and back (5 hours each way) we noticed the car making noises and vibrating while shifting. Just swell, right? Being from WAY out of town, and out there on vacation, we had no idea where to go for service. We chose budget based off their reviews and the friendliness of the staff.This was a very wise choice. When we dropped off our car, we did not see hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of fancy equipment. We saw mechanics, tools and people actively working on cars. The owner personally test-drove our car and diagnosed the problem. It was a quick fix that cost us less than $100, and we were only without our car for a day. Plus, the owner let us know what we could do to prevent the problem from acting up in the future.I am certain that if we had taken it to a dealer or a large chain they would have ordered a very expensive diagnostic and probably charged us thousands for repairs that did not need to be made. And being stuck away from home, we probably would have paid it. I wholeheartedly recommend Budget Transmission. I wish they were in Iowa, because they did not gouge us on price and offered good service. These are REAL mechanics, and the only ride they will take you on is a test drive.

DON'T GO HERE! This is the worst car shop I have ever been to. They do not even deserve 1 star. Said my car would be done between 2 and 7 days. 24 days later and they did not call me a single time!!!! TERRIBLE customer service, rude, rude people. I called every couple of days and they said either they hadn't started on my car or they messed something up and had to start over. Every time they said they'd call me back and they wouldn't! "Just doing finishing touches we'll call you soon". No call. I'd call before they closed and they'd ignore my call. 4 different days! Going to them was a HUGE mistake. Such a nightmare. Even left the inside of my car filthy.

These are very honest people who aren't trying to scam you, we were from or of town and went to them after getting a horrible quote from a place -bud and rays just up the road they fixed everything wrong with our engine for like 20$ after the price of the parts needed to be replaced, we highly appreciate this place! If not for them we would have been stuck in Michigan broke

Dropped car off in the afternoon to be fit in for a trans pan filter, gasket, and fluids for a decent price. The owner even took initiative to work on car outside with only a jack to complete the work as well as staying after hours to complete the job and wait for me to pickup the car. That's service in my book!

Was supposed to have my car for 2 days and ended up 5 weeks. Owner is rude and does not appear to know what he is doing. $2200 later and my car still is not running correctly. I would never recommend this company.

These ppl are scam artists they supposly look at my son car and said he needed a new battery then it was the starter and they needed a 200 deposit to order the part.. which i never paid the deposit or authorized them to fix because I knew 450 dollars was way to much for a starter.. They claimed someone left a deposit which that can't be possible only me and my son knew and we don't know any one from that town... Then he said my motor seized up but when I got there him and another guy was under the hood he ran...

DO NOT GO HERE THEY SUCK TOOK THEM 5 MONTHS TO FIX A SIMPLE THING ON MY CAR THE OWNER IS FAKE TOLD ME I DIDNT HAVE TO PAY BECAUSE IT TOOK SO LONG NOW THAT IT FIXED HE WANTS MORE THAN WHAT HE SAID PLUS HE MADE US BUY A BUNCH OF DIFFERENT PARTS THAT WE DIDNT EVEN NEED!
