Recently I had an AC compressor clutch blow out and these guys quickly and professionally got me back up and running. They've also been so generous to help me on a few side projects I've had on this vehicle by allowing me to use some of their specialized tools which really speaks for the level of kindness that I have received from this place. My family owned a mechanic shop in Mount pleasant Michigan for over 32 years and now that it's sold this is our place to go. It speaks volumes when a family that owned a mechanic shop now puts their entire trust in this place. Nowadays, it's hard to find places to trust and people to trust, but this place is definitely a trustworthy company.

All around shady and unprofessional.My first experience with them years ago, I brought in a 99 Jeep Cherokee, I don't remember what it was for.. but they told me that while they were in there, they noticed I needed a rack and pinion... I couldn't afford it so I just told them to do what I needed done to get back on the road. Come to find out, the Cherokee doesn't have a rack and pinion, they have a gear box!Now, due to having a Silverrock Bumper to Bumper warranty, I had to bring my Jeep Liberty to them as they're a "preferred" shop. When I brought it in, they seemed completely uninterested in doing the work, like the warranty was a hassle. They told me that business is slow right now so we should have a diagnosis probably the same day. More than 24 hours later, I get a call saying the vehicle is ready to be picked up. When I got there, they said that they're refusing to do any work on it because it's not worth their time and to find a different shop. If the warranty work isn't worth your time, get yourself off the preferred list!

Very pleased with my service! Took my car in for wheel bearing issues. Jeffrey listened to my concerns and was able to get me quotes. I received receipts of said quotes and they were spot on. I was able to schedule my car with them for a whole day and Dan was very communicative with me. Also was very straightforward on what needed to be done. I also appreciated Janet and Josh s color commentary!! :)I will be a return customer!Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment

D & J auto was fantastic to work with. They took care of my car quickly and we're very friendly, making sure all expenses were gone over to make sure I got the best price. They worked fast with high quality work and will definitely be going back when I need any further repairs.

I'm not going to rant....But the experience that got me to Dan, I promise is rant worthy. Another mechanic shop put my safety in jeopardy and this place got me back on the road, driving to work and being able to get my kids to and fro.Invaluable. Truly wish I would have known then what I know now. I will never go anywhere else if this is an option. This place was recommended to me by a co-worker I respect dearly. I know I'm not the only one who appreciates this whole set up. A mechanic to trust; let's be grateful for this one.

Daniel runs a quality, family-run repair service that saved my holiday. Daniel was able to help me at the last minute and provided affordable, critical service that allowed me to spend my holiday with my family rather than in a hotel. I had to get my brakes done. I made an appointment online on Sunday and had my car in and back on Monday afternoon. They use an online and texting system that is so transparent and easy to use. We will definitely be back.

D and J Auto Service was recommended to us as we recently moved to Michigan and found ourselves in need of a mechanic when our truck broke down. Dan was quick and concise about what needed to be done and how much it would cost. Even without an appointment we had our vehicle back in three days and it s running great. D & J Auto Repair are hands down the best, most trustworthy, and fair priced auto repair I have ever worked with. Called in for an oil pan and gasket replacement, they had it in store next day, I dropped it off and they were done within a day. OUTSTANDING service. I am so thankful for D and J auto repair. They are very detail oriented and super professional. They took the time to assessed my truck mechanical issues and fixed those mechanical issues. I called them yesterday 10/26, my car was sent in at about 4-5pm (end of their day) and my car was ready for pick up by 2:30 the next day 10/27! They were informative, and super quick. They are friendly and was the best mechanic ive been to thus far. They got me in and worked on so quick (which is usually the issue) and the car is working perfect! Had a bad starter. quoted to almost exactly the price i paid. I would recommend!

Called thinking my water pump was bad and found out it was something different! My car was accurately diagnosed! Was fixed super fast! I was happy with the good service I got! If you want your car diagnosed accurately and fixed fast go to D and J Auto!

Needed battery changed. They got my car by 9:30am, called me by noon, all done. Service and price were FANTASTIC! I will definitely return for any service and HIGHLY recommend to any one needing any repair.

I had an annoying squealing brake problem after replacing my rotors and pads recently at another shop on my Infiniti Q50. I went to D and J Auto Repair and they offered to do a free inspection, but ordered premium pads as well just in case they needed to upgrade the pads. They replaced my pads with Duralast Elite in a few hours and the annoying squeal that I had for months is gone! Dan even followed up with me a few days later to ensure the problem was fixed. Can t say enough positive things about my experience and they won me over as a future customer! Five stars for these guys! thanks Dan and team.

Had to get a whole new engine put in my car, the people at D and J auto got me in that day to look at my car and I only had to wait a few days for them to find a motor and get it put in. They seen my breaks were bad and did those for me as well while they had it, which saved me the hassle of having to bring it back in later. Fantastic pricing compared to other places in the area. Very knowledgeable staff. Absolutely would recommend for any auto repair needs.

The staff provided a detailed estimate electronically before completing any work, and the repair cost was very reasonable. Exceptional customer service and fair price. Found a new battery in their warehouse and drove over to get it, so I would not have to wait too long. Quickly replaced my battery and ensured that my tires were also inflated to the proper level. Followed up with me the next day to ensure that everything was working fine.

D And J did an awesome job repairing a brake line on my Toyota van. They waited for me to arrive with my van at the end of their work day so they could check it out and let me know the problem. They fixed my brakes the next day so I would have transportation as soon as possible. D And J was very professional, courteous, and honest. I highly recommend this business. Amazing shop. Was worried we weren t going to have our car fixed before our vacation. Not only did they get my car in the next day but by 430 I was driving it like nothing was ever wrong. Love these guys! They ve done work on both my vehicles: from basic oil changes and tire rotations on up to brakes, wheel bearings and power steering issues. They work quickly and their prices are very reasonable. They are always willing to drop me off at my office while they work on my vehicles or let me borrow a loaner car, which makes them very easy to work with. Highly recommended!Update: I've been working with D and J for several years now on multiple different vehicles and they continue to do great work. Very fast. Very competitive pricing. This shop is amazing! I've had some pretty crummy experiences with car shops in the past and I will not be taking my car anywhere but here any time soon! They are very trustworthy, transparent and send you everything they plan to work on for you to approve before starting. While traveling from downstate, heard rattling sound and pulled over to find a repair shop open Saturday morning. What s the chance!? Found D&J and they were willing to take a look and repair on Monday (ugh, what am I going to do for two days as I was just traveling through?). Turns up they had the parts I needed and they fixed while I waited so I could continue on my trip. Thank you, thank you! Could only give 4 stars since repair didn t hold to my destination so had to bring car in again to local shop. D&J were honorable and picked up the cost of the second repair since they missed a small part. Thank you again! If I ever need service in Midland again, wouldn t hesitate to bring my car to D&J. This should be the only place you take your car I ve been here a multitude of times for different things, every time is EXCELLENT only people that will ever touch my car. A+ Hey all i recently had a power steering leak so i brought it in to D and J. They told me what was wrong( return hose on the power steering system) My car had other issues i knew of but they didn t try to sell me the kitchen sink once.I had my car back in a very timely manner and fixed correctly! I will be returning when needed!
