Great customer service, will definitely fix your car and usually same day as long as you come early enough. A little pricey, but hey they price is the price, and if you don't like it, people go elsewhere. I called a few times last week but the phones keep hanging up not sure what's going on

Praiseworthy, Auto Repair Shop - A Beacon of Integrity and Honesty!I recently had another positive service with Jack Hagan at Melvindale Car Care, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.They were transparent and upfront about the repairs my car needed, and took the time to explain each issue in detail, providing me with options and never pressuring me into unnecessary repairs which fostered a sense of trust that is hard to find in the automotive industry.Integrity and honesty seems to be this shop s core value and it is clearly evident that he and the entire team embody values that are rare to find in this day and age!Service like this should be rewarded with lots of praise. I called to ask if I can tow my car into the shop. Jake was very polite and told me it was ok. The tow truck dropped off my car late in the afternoon so I wasn't expecting to get my car looked at until the next day. I left the shop and 15 minutes later I got a call about what was wrong and how much. I was surprised to see fast service being a first time customer. The prices are very reasonable, great customer service, and I got my car back the very next day. Thank you and I will definitely recommend Jack and his team for any service needs.

I had taken my car back to the dealer two times and those idiots charged me $600 to replace a part and Left behind the causative agent of the repair issue. These guys took my car and kept it only for a few hours and they found everything that was wrong. As it turns out, it's not cost effective to fix the car, but this information would have been good to have several months ago and I did not find it with GM mechanicsService: Vehicle Inspection

Let me start this off by saying Jack and Zach were very nice people, made me feel like family. I was on my way to work and I had a hit a pothole in my car and it was so big it ended up busting the brake line, i checked for mechanics near me and Melvindale car care was the closest to me, so i brought my car in and met Jack, he set me up with Zach a service technician and i let him do his thing, not too long after that Zach calls me in to show me that the brake line was replaced but also showed me how worn down my pads and rotors were, Im not mechanically inclined but boy did they look bad, so after replacing them i find out that they only charged me for parts cost on the pads and rotors, excellent service. Very honest pricing and people, have definitely earned a lifelong customer, when i need my oil changed or any work done i will be going backServices: Brakes, Brake service & repair, Oil change

This is how all auto repair shops should operate.Jack and Aaron are literal saints.I cannot tell you how much I trust these guys. I will not let any other shop touch my vehicles.I travel 8-10 hours away from home, several times a year. I m always confident in my vehicle after these guys give me the thumbs up.Always transparent and honest. Always tells me exactly what needs to be done.Also, have you ever had a mechanic call/text to check on your vehicle after having it serviced? These guys do that with almost any significant repair.They do no advertising and are just word of mouth. They don t need to. Jack and Aaron are the most honest and dependable mechanics you ll ever find.They text you and check on their repairs to your vehicles, send out coupons, you name it.I will not let anyone else touch my vehicles.I d give these guys 10 stars if I could!

I made my husband bring his F 150 truck here to get it fixed because they Were the top rated auto repair in Michigan, they put a new motor in for over $5,000, and I thought everything was fine but he has had to take it back quite a few times already because it wasn't running right and his airconditioner wasn't working so I just don't know what to think about this experience, I feel bad because I told him they were top rated and he should go get it done hereService: Engine repair

I went to have my brakes checked just to be on the safe side. I also mentioned a bit of vibration in the steering wheel when driving on the highway. I was given a very clear explanation of what was going to be done on my car and was told it would be a few hours. To my surprise, I get a phone call just 30 minutes later! My brakes don't need to be changed right now. The mechanic told me he didn't want to change them unless it's absolutely necessary as he thoroughly checked them. Wow! Didn't expect that! And guess what? No charge! Icing on the cake! Sure beats going to dealership to have maintenance done. You've just gained a very satisfied customer!!!

We've had two recent visits at Melvindale Car Care. Both times we were very happy with the service. Jack, the owner, is very honest and forthright. When we decided against some service to our older car, he agreed with us and did the rest of the service we needed without trying to talk us into it.He strikes me as very honest and fair. He does good work. What more could you want from a mechanic (or anyone)?

The owner and staff are great! So far they have been honest and fair to me! ! Even telling me that having something done would not fix the problem saving me hundreds of dollars! I have an old car and fortunate to find a honest place

Jack is a Great Guy, trustworthy, friendly, and efficient. He is honest and dependable. I have been to many mechanics who ripped me off and I can honestly say you won't see that happen at Melvindale Car Care. I highly recommend his shop for any repairs or service you may need!

I just recently had my car fixed for the first time. I have a repair shop I have been going to for years, but this was close to my work, and I went here on a whim, nervous to have strangers work on my car. They took great care of me and my car. The pricing was right and the customer service was great. Jack the owner even took the time to follow up with me and make sure everything went well. I'll be going to them again for future services.

We have been taking our cars here for about 5 years now and I wouldn't go anywhere else! Jack and his team are honest, reliable and always try to fit us in around our work schedules. They do not try to talk you into unnessary work and the prices are reasonable. I don't hesitate to recommend this place, you guys are awesome - thanks for always taking care of our cars!!

Recently took my Jeep Wrangler to this shop to fix something the dealer claimed was over two thousand dollars. Melvindale Car Care was honest and provided me with reasonable options. Turns out, the part needed to be replaced cost me less than $200 bucks. The service was fast and the communication was great, I will definitely take my vehicle here if anything else goes wrong. Thank you!

I have been going to Melvindale Car Care for years, and I won't go anywhere else even though I moved twenty miles away. They are the BEST! They always take good care of me. They are honest, fair, dependable and ready to fix my car even if I don't have an appointment. They never take advantage of me being a single woman who doesn't know about cars; in other words, they NEVER tell me I need repairs if I really don't. They fix only what's wrong with my car at the time. Jack and his mechanics are always pleasant and very patient with me. I recommend Melvindale Car Care to everybody!!

The work was done very quick. No surprises regarding cost.Very transparent with issues and suggested alternatives to save me money and shed on their expertise.Followed up next day to make sure I was satisfied and vehicle was operating as expected.

They've failed to replace a simple power steering pump to my Ford Windstar, the new one kept failing and I had to return the car to their shop twice, and every time the car was getting worse ... I had to buy a new pump from (Advance Auto Parts) myself and took it to another repair shop to fix it for me, the car works like magic ever since.I've wasted $330 and valuable time just to replace a pump, and they couldn't even do it... And the other shop charged me for $100 and did a good job (that was almost 2 months ago, no complaints since).The only reason I didn't give them 1 star is their positive attitude towards their customers, I can still go back there once more for an oil change or something, but, rather than that, I wouldn't recommend them for serious car repairs.

Happy to have my Chevy cobalt fixed after going to numerous shops downriver and no one seem to find the issue?!These guys found it right away ,very honest and knowledgeable Mechanic's.I definitely will be taking my other vehicles here..

This place was amazing. They took very good care of me and my care. I was diving to New York and I brought my car to them for a safety check. They only fixed what was needed. I love this place. This is the best place to bring your car. They're completely honest which is very hard to find nowadays.

I have started going to Melvindale Car Care for the last 6-7 months. I needed brake work done, and they charged me less than any other place.They have done outstanding work, and they stick to their Warranty.I had my car again in, due to a noise I heard in the Front End. They looked at it, and recommended to wait on replacing anything.And on top of it, they did not charge me. I was willing to pay for the Diagnostics and the Check up, but they did not charge.I will for certain recommend this place to all my friends now.

I love this place. Jack is very respectful & honest. He will make sure he knows what's going on with your car and give you a reasonable price. I won't go any place else to get my car fixed. I'm a female Veteran and I have a 2008 Hyundai Elantra and it was this loud squealing noise coming from the engine area. Jack checked it and told me it was one of my pulleys, but didn't know which one because the noise would come and go. He told me to come back when the noise gets a little louder. Now he could have made up a lie & told me anything, but he didn't. I brought my car back month later and is was my AC Tensioner (pulley). He gave me a reasonable price, fixed it, i also received a Veterans discount, and now I'm good to go. Honesty will get you far. Ty Jack!!!

Not enough stars... This is our second time taking one of our cars here. Recently took our daughter's Jeep there and Jack & crew took care of us. They are honest and don't try to offer unnecessary services/repairs. Jack even took the time to follow up on the service provided - we are sold! From now on, this is the only car repair shop we will take our cars to & we live in Oakland County.

I was having problems with a new battery I purchased. My truck wouldn't start up after a day or two of charge. Told by battery place it was not the battery somrhing else draining my battery. Took it Melvindale Care for diagnostic check up and nothing was wrong with the electrical system it was the battery. Jack texted me link of diagnostic check for verification and I was very impressed. He was very kind and explain to me the diagnostic. I took battery back and got my money back went and purchased another battery and been running fine since then. I will be taking my care back to Melvindale Car Care when something go wrong again!!! Thank you Jack for good customer service.Dotti
