Response to owner for more detail.When I bought my first fifth wheel from Kitsmiller's, Bob, if I remember right, sold me slip on mirrors. I asked if they were good, he assured they were excellent. I emphasized I didn't want them if they buzzed, and didn't provide a clear view. He assured me they would be great. I said I'd never used good add-on mirrors, and he said these are new, follow the lines and airflow, and are the greatest thing since sliced bread! ( the bread part he didn't say ) He was emphatic they wouldn't buzz.They buzzed.When closing the deal, he said, (like he's doing me a favor) that he was writing up the mirrors as labor, to save me the sales tax. Ok, $3 , (shoulder shrug).Early the next morning I headed to South Carolina, for six months. The mirrors were terrible. When I came home, I looked for the receipt to return the mirrors. I found the receipt. But it didn't include any mirrors, so I was stuck with them. Needless to say, I felt screwed.He was doing well at developing a long term local customer, until he sold an inferior product, that I was VERY clear about my expectations.I've warned many over the years about this situation. And learned that Kitsmiller has a reputation for one time sales to newcomers, and they go elsewhere for their subsequent purchases.Hopefully you're doing it better than your dad. I don't know what the profit was on a $50 set of mirrors, but it couldn't have been worth it. It cost him thousands.

I am NO big spender here. But the staff at Kitsmiller ALWAYS greats me by name and treats me as if I was purchasing a brand new unit even if I m just picking up some parts OR supplies. They are ALWAYS great with me. Highly recommend.

Great parts department! Huge selection! We needed wheel bearings and seals for our travel trailer axle, and Cole had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

I love going to Kitsmiller RV. They are very friendly and knowledgeable and will take the time to go over the entire process with me in mind.They are always recommending options that will save me money but willing to go with whatever I decide to do.Happy New Year

Gennene saves the day! We had a serious mechanical problem with the axel/spring assemblyon our fifth wheel. She was incredible at coordinating the repairs, quickly and communicating with me about the progress. I highly recommend getting service for your rv here. I will be using Kitsmillers for all my rv repair needs. It will be worth the hour drive. Thanks again to everyone at Kitsmiller rv we were able to enjoy our vacation.

We had an emergency with our shore cord in our TT and called kitsmiller right when they opened with little hope of a chance to get in and get it fixed in time for us to continue w our camping trip. Not only did they get us in but their customer service is amazing and I can t thank them enough!! Thank you thank you thank you kitsmiller!!

Had wheel bearing go out and dragging brake on Friday. They stayed till we got there to fix it for us. Nicest people at Roger s tire and Kitsmiller. Thank you

I bought a camper at camping world back in May 2022 and as I just got out of my 1 year warranty period the thing started to leak. I took it to Kitsmiller and they absolutely crush it out of the park! They worked with the manufacturer and got them to pay for 90% of the damage even though it was just out of warranty. Fixed everything perfectly. If you need anything RV / travel trailer related in the greater Lansing area you d be silly not to use them.

The lovely lady in service helped us out greatly with finding a fuse for our furnace that was not being made any longer. I don't know what we'd have done without her help. Everytime we go there she is most helpful. Recommend them to anyone!

Excellent experience, as always!!Purchased our last travel trailer from Kitsmillers in 2005. At this time we're purchasing a much newer 2019 travel trailer. Employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. Kitsmillers has an excellent service department we have always had a great experience with any repairs or additional upgrades such as our newer solid steps. We look forward to working with Kitsmillers in the future.

I really like this RV dealer. I bought a used Monaco MontClair a few years ago. I stop in every once in a while for service and parts on my way thru town. They are friendly and accommodating

I can tell you story after story all the way back to when Kitsmiller was located in south Lansing of nothing but great service, professional staff and very caring people.In recent years it's been Ron and Geneene who have been so amazing with everything in helping us from the very minor to major issues. We are now 80% full timers and save most of our needs for when we are back in town. Every year we ask them to do a complete service of everything just before we head south for the winter. Trust? Nothing but trust for us. I don't question anything as they have proven themselves to stand out beyond reproach. Advice? I seek advice from Geneene a lot about different things and I trust her advice. She has never misled us yet.Over the years I have bought many new and used units from these folks and have never been dissatisfied ever.

My new go-to rv center. Got a killer deal on a new shower surround and couldn't be happier with my experience. Staff was friendly and super helpful. They all had a pep in their step and a drive for excellence, ensuring the job was done right, and done right the first time. They gave me great advice on installing the new surround and it came out great! Shipping took about a week which was faster than Amazon or any other local shop.. Thank you so much and I will be sure to tell all my camping buddies, "This is the place to call when you need something!"

We brought our Entegra class A in for a variety of items since we had just purchased it (elsewhere). We were in a unique situation since we just sold our condo and this was our new home. Also, a serious health issue came up about the same time. Everyone was very supportive and helpful as we tried to move our life from the house to the bus. It was in the shop quite some time and we made multiple trips hauling in stuff. Matt kept us on top of the progress of the repairs and Greg got everything fixed and working (you're welcome for the Aqua-Hot seminar). Janine and Cole did a fine job waxing the whole rig. They all worked to ensure our after-market warranty company covered as much as possible. We only ended up out-of-pocket three bazillion dollars. Actually, it was reasonable considering all the work done. They even gave me electric hookup when I had to spend a night there (no room service, though). We appreciate the caring service.

Awesome place with great people! Broke a leaf spring on the freeway in the middle of the night with the whole family in tow. They had everything on the shelf for me to make the repair the next day. We continued on our vacation by 11am the next morning! They even offered to lend me additional tools if I needed. Thank you Kitsmiller for all your help!

I have had great service from the knowledgeable, professional team here. I will support family owned over national retailer or service department everytime. Honest, trustworthy service. Our 2017 Big Horn 5th wheel will be back soon for minor fixes. Thank You Kitsmiller RV service team!

Yesterday i had called and got this very nice young lady on the phone. She was very helpful. She told me to take a photo of my vent on my phone and bring it in. I went in and she remembered talking to me. She took me to the part i needed and even explained why she wanted to see the photo. She matched up my vent and im happy to say its installed and working great. Thanks to the parts department.

I had a heck of a time finding someone who would work on my RV generator, this is the place to go, they are highly knowledgeable and helped me with the insurance company, very quick turnaround, I am very happy.

Just recently took our RV here to have work done on it. Will have to write a review after the work is done. So far, the service manager has been very cordial, paid attention to our concerns and has already been looking at the problems. This turned into a long drawn out process. Found things that we requested to be done, not done. Told them our washer/dryer combo wouldn't drain. Asked them if they wanted to look at it and fix it we would appreciate it. Got a phone call from service manager saying they weren't going to work on washer/dryer. That was ok, we gave them that option. We asked them not to winterize rig, was told it could stay in warm bay through winter. Found it parked up on the hill, winterized. Bill stated to winterize it and then dewinterize it before we picked it up. We got charged for this. After we got the RV back we found the washer/dryer unit full of winterizing liquid and water. Um, they were told the problem with it was it wouldn't drain. We had to deal with that mess. Was told by them and several others that our generator was dead and had to be replaced. A few months later some guys we were camping with looked at the 12 volt system. They found a 400amp circuit protector fuse had blown. This was removed and wiring reconnected, the generator ran when plugged into shore power. There still seems to be some charging problems, but this fuse problem was missed by them. The staff here are pleasant, and I believe they really try to help as much as possible. They spent a lot of time looking for parts for repairs. I'm undecided if I would go to them again for repairs.

The slide out on my motorhome stopped working. I was thinking it would be close to a thousand dollars to fix it. I was busy, so I dropped it off two days early so they could get to it when they said. They not only fixed it the day after, two days early, but repaired it for under $90! They could have taken me to the cleaners but didn't. They could have made me wait to get it fixed, but didn't.

Good dealer of repair parts. Service counter person isn't too friendly. The repairs are all contracted out down the street, but the shop they use is good. You can save about 1/2 the money to go to that shop directly though...

Stop by last week looking to solve a trailer lighting problem. Everyone that I talked to was extremely helpful and great to deal with. One of the mechanics overheard our conversation and offered to help. He solved my problem in minutes. This experience was one of the best customer service experiences I have every had. If I am every in the market to buy a RV I know where I ll be buying from. I m buying from Kittsmiller RV !
