Our experience with our dealership is always friendly and professional from scheduling the appointment to greeting us and chatting with us when we are there. The service department is exceptional! They understand what needs to be done and explain things to us. The work is done efficiently and expertly. We have been customers for many years and will continue to go there for fine service and for purchasing vehicles with their fantastic sales team!

Our salesman David was fantastic to work with. Having a dealership that had no pressure to purchase is always appreciated. He was very friendly, personable and very knowledgeable.Everyone in the sales team, service dept, financing, cashier, body work was full of smiles and good attitudes. Was browsing for cars online and instantly fell in love with one of the jeeps they had on the lot. Went same day to test drive it, and Charlie was the first person I ran into. He was incredibly helpful, and made sure it was the right car for me. He followed up a few days later to see how it was going, and checks in to see how the jeep and I are doing.10/10 would buy from again.

I could not have asked for a smoother buying experience. David kept me informed in a very timely fashion as my truck was ordered, built and shipped. The closing was quick and seamless in a very friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Liars. Cheats. Buyers beware! If you still want to buy a car from Marthaler after you read this review, bring your own mechanic to give it the once over before you give them a dime!I purchased a used car for my daughter just shy of a year ago. She s a single mother of two, and her son has a rare genetic disorder which has left him disabled. I wanted to find her a reliable, safe car with a little cargo space for trips to medical appointments and therapy visits etc. I found a used Cadillac suv that fit the bill. The salesman disclosed that it needed a few repairs, but they would do the work for no further cost. I was satisfied with the offer and paid the $9000.00 plus dollars in cash. Fast forward one year - my how things have changed! My daughter brought the car in for service, where they informed her that it needed new tires, but, the frame was so rusted that it was no longer safe to drive and she probably should scrap it . What? Scrap it?!So, after she broke the news to me, I immediately made contact with one of the managers. He informed me that she had put several miles on it, and it had been a long winter with salty roads. This is why the frame is unsafe after one year. He pretty much told me it s my fault for buying an older used car. And, if my daughter hadn t driven it so much, and we hadn t had such a long salty winter, it wouldn t have rusted through. So, I m to believe it was perfectly fine last June, but after one winter, it s now in need of scrapping? Well, I think they knew the frame was marginal last year, and sold it to me anyway. I think they were more interested in making a buck than the safety of my daughter and her children. I admit I don t know much about cars. And, maybe I was gullible for trusting these thieves when they said that the car would suit my needs and the needs of my daughter, and that it was inspected and safe. I doubt they ll do anything to make us whole on this, but hopefully this review will warn off other buyers. And, thank god I was able to pay cash. Can you imagine having to continue making payments on a car that resides in the scrap yard?I am furious, but all I can hope for at this point, is that people will shy away from this business, and their questionable ethics.Update: we brought the car in for a second opinion. The mechanic assured us that there was no way the damage was from one winter, and that, in his opinion, there was no way the dealership wasn t aware that the safety of the car was in question.- The saga continues The sales manager never returned his calls, and the general manager did little to help us. We did receive $425.00 from the junk yard. So we only lost $9,575.00 dollars when we scrapped the car we only owned for 11 months.I ll say it again, buyer beware. Shady dealings are afoot at Marquette GMC.

We where 2 months into our 6 month tour with our half ton when we decided that we needed a 2500 for the mountains ahead, and Marquette GMC not only had the perfect truck in inventory ready to go for us, they were also quite possibly the best dealership experience I ve ever had. They gave me a fair trade value without the games and were a pleasure to work with. Although I live in Florida, I just might continue to purchase all my trucks from them going forward.Major shout out to Cassie and David for being awesome!

Great staff & customer service. It sounds clich� but they really are one of the best dealerships to work with. Whether you re buying a new car or your current vehicle needs service. They are always helpful all the way around.I only wish they would have given me more for my trade in vehicle. It s really not their fault though, Nancy was getting up there in age and mileage and she needed a new transmission. So i understand they can t pay me for the sentimental value of Nancy . I just hope they fix her up and get her to a good home somewhere.

I'd go less than one star if I could. Marquette GMC is not good. Let me explain: I was in the market for a reliable used AWD vehicle under 20,000- after test driving several, I was able to land on the 2015 Ford Escape for approx 15,000. With gap insurance, it was somewhere in the ballpark of 15-16k. Immediately I was met with issues that Marquette GMC refused to cover. Upon fully gassing up the vehicle the first time - the vehicle did not start, had to bring it in and COVER THE COST TO REPAIR IT. The sales department offered me a slight discount, but said any further damage would need to be out of pocket. In less than 6 months I had to replace a rear shock, the protective carriage cover on the underside, and several other nuances completely out of my own pocket. I expressed my frustrations with Marquette GMC at around the 6months mark to see if I would be able to move on from this vehicle to upgrade to a truck. The sales person (david) said that it should be no issue since I had recently purchased it. They offered me less than HALF the value of what I had purchased it for 6 months prior. (6700 or so). And Tony C. would NOT budge. I went up the ladder to Nikki R., who tried to appear accommodating by calling me after my first review that I had left. She said she'd be willing to bring the value up of my vehicle - but every vehicle that I had suggested "she couldn't make work." She said she would call me when other vehicles came to the lot to work something out (we've spoke and emailed each other for months.) Then nothing. She hasn't even tried to fix the issue - she hasn't tried to make any arrangements and quite frankly, given some of the other negative reviews - I've had enough. I will never purchase anything from from here again. I'm sure they are relieved to hear that after my frequent emails - but I felt and continue to feel cheated by this company. They are the posterchildren for "sleezy used car salespeople." Such a shame, as they are right in town and completely forgot about the "take care of your neighbor" slogan that Marquette and most other UP businesses have been notorious for. Hate to wish ill-will on a franchise, but there is no place for a company like this in the upper peninsula.

Everyone was amazing! From the second I walked in the door the the last minute I left. Sent a message later during the night and received an answer from Nikki right away. Service is second to none! Matt the sales man was great. Stopped by to look and leased a new vehicle without really doing anything. Glad to be back. Same service they have been known for.
