I have been going to Manistee Ford for services for almost 2 years now. At first everything was fine, they did my oil changes and tire rotations regularly. But when it came time to start replacing/ fixing things, everything changed. They started to complain about how busy they were and stopped caring at all about getting anything done. I get that, sometimes things get busy. I stuck around. But then I had my passenger seat stop working and it got stuck all the way leaned back. They couldn t get me in for a few weeks, I know they re busy. They finally diagnose the issue, say it s the motor. They order the new seat motor. 3 more weeks go by still haven t heard if they got the part or not. I go in for an oil change that I scheduled online. They say they don t have an appointment scheduled for me, but the person they did have an appointment for wasn t going to show, so they did my oil change anyway. I asked them if my part had come in. Brian said that it had, but he never had a chance to call me since he s been so busy. Made an appointment for about a month later (their electrical guy was going out of town) to get the new seat motor put in. Still driving around with the passenger seat all the way down. Not being able to use the seat behind it or sit comfortably in the passenger seat itself. Finally get it in to be fixed! Only to get a phone call from Laura a few hours later that they out the new motor in, but now the switch stopped working. She said they know it s the switch because they tried it with the driver side seat switch and it worked. I said great, they at least put the seat upright when they had it working, yeah???? Laura said of course!! They wouldn t do that to you! Great. I go to pick it up. I sit down and look over at the passenger seat still leaning all the way back. I had to leave so I could calm down. At this moment I decided I would finish out the services I already had scheduled with them and never have to see any of them again. During that last oil change, they said I had a really bad oil leak and everything needed to be replaced. They ordered the parts and got me on the books that day because they were scheduling so far out. They told me to call them a few days before the appointment to remind them that I will need a rental car so they can make sure they have one available. I called them on Friday (10/13) for my Monday (10/16) appointment. Laura told me that there would be no rental available and that they are recommending that I change my appointment to November 17th as things are so backed up my truck would just be sitting there untouched for a few days. I told her I would rather just make an appointment somewhere else now due to wasting so much time with them and that I ve been very unimpressed with their service. Once the seat switch came in, they were able to pop it on as soon as I could get there as it was something super simple.
