If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Not even 2 hours after picking up my truck from having an oil pan replaced and driving half a mile home the truck caught fire. The shop claimed they investagated it and had some manager not an expert or even ase certified tech call me and tell me it was work done before they got the truck. There is no way. They wrote on invoice missing dipstick. How did you even complete the oil pan job without a dipstick. They couldnt even measure the oil after they so called fixed it. The manager said we did everything right. Be careful having any work done at this shop. The truck was burnt to a crisp not even 2 hours after leaving. Avoid this place at all costs. The truck didnt catch fire after any other work. Caught fire with less than 2 hours after their shop did work to it. You cant even complete an oil pan job without a dipstick why would you even do the work for it without that. Had you called i would of said put one in if it needed that.

Amazing and fast service. 1 of my delivery vehicles went down late on a Wednesday.Since they are a AAA approved company, I was able to get it towed there at no cost.They ended up tracing down a crazy electrical issue and had it back to me by that Friday.They will be my fleet and personal mechanics from now on.

Ricky Brown came to tow my car for me and went above and beyond. He towed my car to get the tire replaced but the shop was closed so he made sure I wasn t stranded and found me another shop that was open near by. He was polite and professional and should be recognized for his great customer service.

I needed a serpentine belt fixed IMMEDIATELY everyone was giving me 2 to 3 days out these guys fixed it the next day they also replaced my reservoir for a super low amount. Everyone else was charging minimum of $50. These guys use only quality products and are super knowledgeable, respectful, and competent. NO BS! You can trust these guys to do quality work and stand by their work. I was referred by somewhere that has been a customer for years. I will definitely be returning.

This shop is CLEARLY ALL ABOUT THE MONEY AND DISHONEST and I will be reporting them to AAA, as well. I see other reviews that say the tow truck driver will offer you a cheap rate to get you to tow your car to Motorcity Auto Care and then jack up the price. The manager said $200 to install my thermostat (which I purchased) and when they called back me said $397.00. Then waited until after they installed my thermostat to tell me that I need a water pump, as well. They wanted another $600 for the part, and I wasn't trying to hear what they wanted for labor. I have the sense to know you should make sure both the thermostat and water pump are working properly when a car is overheating. I still couldn't drive my car and WILL NEVER TAKE IT BACK TO THEM!!!

Excellent Service! Had my car towed. Service was quick. I was not with the car and the tow truck driver George communicated with me throughout the process. I highly recommend George and the team at Motor City Auto Care!

Running a scam with the tow truck driver they use. I was going to have it towed elsewhere and he convinced me to tow it here bc the diagnostics would be $35. Found somewhere that would do the necessary work needed cheaper and was going to have it towed there and then the diagnostic price automatically went up to $95. Ended up just getting the work done here to avoid the ridiculous upcharge. Find an honest place.

Ricky came out for a tow and was AWESOME!!!Longevity Towing had us wait 30 minutes then cancelled the tow. Ricky came out within 15 minutes, had us hooked up and towed fast, curious and professional.

My envoy broke down and wouldn't drive,they convinced me to tow my Envoy to their shop instead of to my house where I originally was going to have it towed too. They also said I'd get a 20% discount, I didn't get a call about my vehicle I had to call and see what was going on 4 says after it was towed to the shop. Now yesterday I get a call saying that for them to put in a USED transmission it's going to be $3451.55 (including labor) I told them my mechanic will do it for cheaper and now they're making me pay $95 as a holding fee to get my truck out of their shop.. If I could give zero stars I would!! Do not come here the 20% off thing is a scam! And they will upcharge you like crazy!!! STAY AWAY!! Also most of the "good reviews" on here are from the tow truck driver, he's the one who put in my original 5 star review smh.

I am over the top happy and impressed with the service I received from Motorcity! Beyond grateful, this is a company that know what they are doing. I was without my car for 2 1/2 months being told not only was my water pump shot but also my transmission. As it came out nothing is wrong with my trans. Mike took the time to explain how the water pump going bad can cause codes to appear. While my car sat untouched for 2mos, these guys had it back to me in 24hrs, fixed!! I will never go anywhere else.Thank you Mike & Motorcity for everything including the towing. You guys are awesome!!

This is my first Google review that isn't 5 stars, so that's really saying something.I used AAA and wanted to get my car towed to another place. The Motorcity auto care driver told me their shop would do the work cheaper. So I got it towed there.I get a call a few hours later telling me it's going to be double the price the other place quoted me. I was furious but agreed since I didn't want to tow my car again. When I go to pick up my car the price was another 30% higher than what they told me on the phone!I learned my lesson from this place. To top it all off, I got a call a week later talking about the work I needed on my car. After a minute I realized they were talking to me about another customers car. This place is a joke.

A/C needed a new compressor and I was aware that it would be somewhat costly. It does seem to be working good and if I have any issues I'll bring it back to them. My star rating is solely based on communication and the attitude of the owner. Mike needs some better communication skills. It would have been nice to know that my car wouldn't be finished on the same day, even though it was brought in at 8am. I had to call them 3 times to inquire. The 2nd time Mike informed me that he was eating lunch and he'd call back later. My car was ready the following morning by 9 am. Which makes me wonder why it wasn't fixed by 6pm (closing time) yet a half hour after opening it was ready?Not sure I'd use this shop again.Service: Air conditioning

I was stuck in a shopping center parking lot. Gears stopped working. They came and towed me and fixed vehicle very quickly. Tow truck driver was very friendly. Very happy with the time it took them to get my car back to me.

Very happy with the service. Sales guy explained things easy to understand. Didn't over sell me. Multiple small issues but he explained why these "need to be addressed now" and why "these can wait for now". Prices seemed similar to other shops I called. Overall very professional with the customer and the work. Quick, affordable, and genuineMotorcity towed our car through our insurance and we were immediately pleasantly surprised by their hospitality. We agreed to take our vehicle to their shop, and they had our repair completed SAME DAY at an extremely reasonable price. Motor city Auto care & Towing services are truly beyond Amazing. I highly recommend Motor city Towing got all you car needs. They even have a mechanic shop that offers AAA members a discount on parts and labor. I called for a Towing and they sent Motor city to assist me. Mark my tow truck driver said he would be there in 15 minutes. He arrived way quicker then that , I believe it was 7 minutes . That was amazing. I have never had someone come as quick as Mark. He was very kind, friendly and most of all Professional. From his work ethic to the way he was dressed. He looked very good and so did the truck. I could tell he was very knowledgeable. Thank you Mark and Motor city Towing. I highly recommend this place to anyone one who wants a tow. They are very quick and efficient.

I called 8 different mechanics/dealership service departments because my daughter's AC in her car car wasn't working. This happened at the worst time possible with severe heat in our forecast. I was told by each previous place I reached out to that they were booked out until August. Upon hearing from my daughter that her coworkers mother just had her AC go out and she used them and was very pleased with their work and quick service, I reached out to Motorcity Auto. I spoke with Mike who told me to bring the car in asap. The experience we had was fantastic. They had the car up and ready to go the same day. There was a problem with the car going back to blowing warm air and we were told to please bring the car up the next morning so they could see what the issue was. The mechanic there had to troubleshoot the issue which was minor and there was no charge. The car is running great and we couldn't be happier with the experience we had. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone who finds themselves in need of car repair and service. My daughter's birthday was in a couple of days and they were friendly, efficient and very professional. Thanks again to Mike and Motorcity for getting my daughter's car fixed so quickly Service: Air conditioning
