Came here to get a sway bar fixed on my Jeep. Found out my whole cradle needed to be replaced due to it rusting out, leaving no place for my sway bar to connect to. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, gave me reasonable pricing for the job, and I'm back on the road after 2 days! Thank you so much Cut Rate Auto Repair!! I'll definitely be back for any repairs too big for me to handle on my own.

I had an oil leak, they got me in with short notice and had the lowest price in town (I shopped around). It was done when they said it would be, for how much they said it would be. Friendly service, super pleased.

Stripped my lug and stud. As well as leaving my brake caliper bracket loose. And brake pads were on backwards. Gm tech fixed it all and told me how pissed it makes him because they give real mechanics a bad name. Complete hack job. The dude who did my brake job needs to be fired.

Incompetence or greed, maybe both.They quoted $2500 for a replacement junkyard engine, because the kid's motor was "hydrolocked" (he put it in the ditch onto its side) I pulled the plugs, turned it over, shot the oil out of a cylinder, put the same plugs back in, and sent the kid on his way. Engine has some blowby, but it runs. Fixed it with just a bit of common sense and a quart of oil.

Had brakes/rotors done with no other issues. Got Jeep back with abs sensor tore and 5 dash alerts. First time I took vehicle there, was fine. Work was obviously rushed second time. Just garbage owner of shop fluffs it at point of sale meanwhile I m out 2 grand on shotty work.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

I wish I could give this place a zero star. I have never gave such a poor rating before and I understand the importance of being honest when giving a review to a company.My truck was towed here this week. They did an analysis on it, which cost 40 dollars. They said the totally repairs would cost roughly over 2,000s dollars. They mentioned the break pads needed to be replaced, but I just had them done, so I decided to get another place to look at it. We had it towed to Robs Service in Lapeer. He looked at it and fixed my truck for 60 bucks! I'm so thankful that Robs Service is a honest and trustworthy company.Cute Rate should be ashamed of their employees.Don't use this company.

Larry Britney and Josh and everyone eles does there best to get the job done. They always go beyond and above what my problem is. I wouldn't take my car anywhere where else besides cut rate auto.

Took my car here to have the clutch replaced. Drove there with all 5 gears, drove it home with only 3. The owner seemed kind and very knowledgeable.The guy on the phone I spoke to said there were 3 missing bolts and told me quote, "Whoever was working on this shouldn't be working on cars." I was working on the car and it was my first time doing a clutch lol. Sort of rude because I told him I had been working on it but still fair I guess...Overall rating:Repair times: 5 starsIn and out within a week.Customer service: 4 starsAlmost always answered the phone quickly.Attitude: 1.5 stars "I wouldn't let my mechanics drive this down the road"I'm giving two stars because while they were honest, the guy on the phone was far too blunt and exaggerative. Rough choice of words to the customer and made it sound like my car was a piece of garbage.Repair quality: 4 stars.They did their job and did it well.

Went to multiple mechanic shops and nobody could figure out what was wrong with my truck. Cut Rate figured it out in no time. They do awesome work at a fair rate. I am not easily impressed especially these days with this millenial generation thats full of incompetence. These guys know their stuff, I was impressed.

Satisfied customer over here. These guys and gals have fair prices and do good work. I dropped my truck off to have brakes done one afternoon, and they had my issue diagnosed and fixed by the end of the next day. They charged me $40 to inspect my brakes and tell me they don't know the issue. The last time I used cut rate I had to ask for money back because they charged me $200 for a wheel bearing from auto zone that was only $100 from auto zone themselves. They just want your money, stay away.

I'm from out of town and was in town visiting family. I discovered my car was leaking gas and brought it in to have it looked at. They were very professional, looked at it and had it all repaired within 24 hours. I would very highly recommend this Auto Service establishment to anybody in the surrounding area. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my vehicle.

This is by far the best family owned, best priced auto repair shop around! I drive from Swartz Creek out here, they are extremely customer friendly, it s clean, they are fast and efficient. I would suggest you call them if you ever need something done for your car.

Prices are decent. They ordered the incorrect part and installed it. They didn't realize the missed a part of what I wanted replaced. Only when I got home did I realize they didn't replace the seal. Called and at first was talking to the mechanic. He acted as if I was wrong.... He then handed me to the original person I talked to and she checked the notes and seen I was correct. They said bring it in and they would fix it. Wasnt exactly a convenient thing but they did fix it.

Don' t go here. These guys are total scams. I went in for an alignment and they said the u-joints, brakes and ball joints were bad. I let them replace everything which came close to $3,000. Then my brakes they worked on went out less in than 2 weeks. They said I had to have my original receipt or they wouldn't fix their shoddy work. I realized then they were hacks and scams so I had the brakes fixed at another place. They also left really bad dirt and grease on my light colored cloth seats. I also found the back of my vehicle was damaged after it was returned. Later I found all my tie rods were bad but they did the alignment and never mentioned it. Recently I heard a noise clicking in the front end and found the u-joint they intalled was bad in less than 5,000 miles. I never even used the 4wd to get any use out of that u-joint. I've had to spend thousands to fix my vehicle after they screwed ir up. The upper ball joints they said they replaced were bad too. I don't think they ever changed upper ball joints but they charged me for the parts and work.These guys are the worst of the worst!Do yourself a favor and stay away!

Great Place !The owner is honest and beyond knowledgeable he knows his stuff and a great guy .. Family owned and operated .Not out to take money or sell you parts you don t need . Busy place but they get it done , very happy with my truck they removed and replaced the engine just one of many repairs . Mechanics all highly skilled and trained Truck runs great wouldn t take it anywhere else . They have done alignments to steering gear box to ball joints , tie rods to my oil changes and tires .
