The Tuffy team are fantastic, and a special shout out to Jason! They worked hard to diagnose the issue my 2008 Subaru Outback was having and moved quickly to resolve it. They communicated with me at each stage of the process and honored the initial price quoted to me. I have been going to Tuffy for five years and my family has been going for fifteen and I cannot recommend them enough. Great customer service!

Have had nothing but positive experiences here especially as a girl in college who knows only the basics about my car. The second time I came in, all I did was show them a video of the noise my car was making and they fixed my car in 4 hours and never charged me. They most definitely deserve 5 stars.

I live out of town and brought a new license plate to my son at MSU (his old one was corroded). We thought it would be easy to replace the rusted out bolts with new ones and put the new plate on. We struggled and stopped at an auto parts store for assistance with no luck. We then stopped at Tuffy where an employee took time out (it was getting close to closing) to help us. I didn't catch his name but he saved the day! He was so kind and got the new plate on with the old bolts. He also put something on the bolts so that we wouldn't have issues down the road. He did all of this free of charge. After spending a few hours on this ordeal we were relieved and so grateful for Tuffy to help us out in a bind. If my son needs any future auto related help while in East Lansing, I will definitely send him to this Tuffy location. Highly recommend!

Had a flat tire but no puncture. Only took an hour and they didn t charge me a dime because they couldn t find an issue. Resealed the tire and filled it up no problem. Best experience I ve had at a service center.

I m shocked to see this place has any bad reviews. My guy Jason was as helpful as could be. I got my brake pads, rotors, and calipers fixed same day and he called before any work was completed to make sure I was ok with the price and work needed to be done. Was very thorough in explaining what needed to be done. I ve gone to these guys for a couple of years and the help from Jason and his team has been consistently amazing. I hope Tuffy s keeps these guys on staff, it would be a huge loss if they didn t. Couldn t recommend more and will be coming back if I need anything done again!

I had a very good experience with Tuffy Tire & Auto Service at this location. I have repaired multiple things in my 2006 Toyota Corolla. The staff are nice and try to give their best. Special mention of two great people: Ted and George.

I recently stopped in to get some help with my tire after an accident. It had a piece of plastic wedged in it and needed some help removing it. They took a look, got the piece out, and put the tire back on for me free of charge. Great people and amazing service!!

They were friendly and was able to get my vehicle in quickly to figure out what was up with my brakes since I was only here in town for a few days. Very polite and notified me that I will need new tires soon and didn't pressure me to schedule that right there and then.

True Story. While traveling to East Lansing from Colorado to visit a sick friend, our Honda Pilot developed a problem with the interior heating system. It's winter time and I did not want to return home without heat! Jason, the Manager, took the vehicle in and eventually determined he was not able to replace the car's Heater Core. A dealership would be better equipped to do this speciality work. He refused to charge us for the time spent to identify the problem which we had hoped would be to simply replace the antifreeze. This was very unexpected and I said I wanted to pay him for his time spent to identify the problem. Again he refused and sent us on our way to the dealership. This is the kind of customer service so rare in today's world. This service center is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Fantastic service!!! I was visiting E. Lansing and my rental car had a flat tire. Within a minute of arriving there with the tow truck, Dale had it in the shop getting repaired. I was in and out of there in 15 minutes and I didn t miss my flight. He didn t even charge me!! So appreciative of this fantastic company. If I only lived closer they would be my #1 go-to for auto care. Thank you Tuffy s!!!!

Very professional and honest service. Had to get extra work on my car that was unexpected, and they offered to not charge for the price of labor to limit the extra cost. 10/10 business, I will definitely go back the next time I need help.

I came in with a loose heat shield and Henry was able to fix it free of charge. Highly recommended, trust worthy mechanics that won t take advantage of you. Will be coming back for future repairs.

Took my vehicle in to have the plastic sheeting in the wheel well looked at. They secured it best they could and when I went to pay them they said no charge. This is the 2nd great experience I've had with this shop in the last 2 months. They took me away from the Firestone across the street.

Jason was such a huge help! I had originally picked out some tires that the site offered but when I went in he immediately offered much better tires at barely any price difference, first time going and I would absolutely go back if I needed tire help again

Stopped in first thing this morning because my car started making the annoying "funny noise" that you can't quite figure out last night and, being the slightly paranoid grandma that I am, I needed to know what it was before I could feel safe running around town with the grandkids in tow. These guys were absolutely great! They checked it out, got me all fixed up, and on the road in a very short time! I will absolutely use them again in the future!

I always hate going to mechanics being a small blonde female. I am new to the area and originally went to GRAF Nissan in Okemos, but after having issues with that mechanic I came here. I originally came due to a slow leak in my tire. In a previous car I also needed my tire patched and the place I went to tried to convince me it couldn't be patched and that I needed to buy four 4WD tires. Here there were no issues at all. The mechanics patched up my tire extremely quickly while I waited, and they were very friendly. They charged me $20 and I was very happy. It has been a couple of weeks and the tire is fine. I didn't realise this place was for car mechanics as well as tires, so I went back to see them for other issues with the car. I will write a separate review for that experience as they told me they are put under a lot of pressure to receive reviews.

Jake was very helpful when I called told us to come right in on a Sunday for a patch of my tire. Austin was able to get us in and patched up. Even put the spare tire back in my SUV and tighten it in for me. Definitely if you re needing a tire service I would absolutely recommend Tuffy in Frandor. I ll be returning for sure.

My vehicle's battery needed to be replaced. They got me in right away and got the job done quickly. They even helped with my key fob battery that decided to go bad the same day. Thank you for the great service!

Jason and his team were great. They were super careful and easy to talk to. I had a nail in my tire late in the evening and they had no issue squeezing me in and getting me out of the door in less than 20 minutes.

They took care of me first thing in the morning with no appointment. Made sure I was good to go to get back to where I needed to go, and told me what to tell the mechanic in my home town to get the full fix. Didn t even charge me(he only had my truck inside about 5 minutes) he just wanted to make sure I d get back to my hometown safe.

I moved to East Lansing with my family a little over 2 years ago, so I don't know a lot about local car repair shops. Decided on the Okemos Tuffy on the strength of positive reviews and brought my wife's Kia in for a tire rotation and oil change last weekend. Was very happy with how quickly it was serviced and how my wife and I were treated. Might seem like a little thing, and in regard to simple routine maintenance, but my wife will be bringing her car back in for regular servicing, and for new tires in 2024. Likewise for service on my ancient Dodge Charger. Thanks!

This is the second time we have brought a vehicle in. We had brakes done on our escape, they helped us with the pricing and explained everything they were doing and also did not do anything we did not need. It was done fast and the brakes work great now.

I had a great pleasure with them today. I caught a flat tire on my way to class. I called to see if i could just come in no appointment needed. they got me in and out in a decent amount of time after discovering my rim was bent.
