My fianc purchased a 2012 Honda accord & we absolutely love it! Great long distance, running vehicle. Very reasonable price, lots of room for our little family. The staff there was very respectful, outgoing & very helpful in picking out our family car.10/10 recommend this place !! They will hook you up

If I could give 0 stars I would. I wish I read the reviews from google before I purchased a vehicle from this dealership. I am a single mother to a one year old baby who is also 7 months pregnant and I financed a 2017 dodge grand caravan from them promised the "warranty will cover like everything wrong with the vehicle" and it certainly did not. I have owned the vehicle for 5 days. I have drove it less than 200 miles and it has both catalytic converters going {one completely gone}, front/read suspension isuues, and framing issues. I am stuck with $3,000 worth of repairs minimum and they are unwilling to put me into another vehicle- I did not want a refund as I was looking for a reliable vehicle. I am now paying $300/mo for this car for two years. Please never buy a vehicle from them. The whole staff also can't have a civil conversation to come to an agreement after they have sold you the vehicle they will let you know that it will take more money to take them to court then it will to take the loss This vehicle cost me $20,000 please don't let them rip you off! Date of service 05/12/2023.

Don't trust (Aaron) at South Side when he tells you that the vehicle went through a 150 point (SAFETY) inspection, get it writing with exactly what they looked at !! Was told the vehicle was in great condition, and needed (NOTHING !). Two weeks later, rear brakes went out (AND), while it was on the hoist, my mechanic showed me the rusted out shackels-they hold the shocks ON !! Cost-$ 713.00 to repair. Called Aaron and he stated-can't do anything !!

PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM WAS SOLD A LEMON!! I purchased a vehicle from south side auto a month ago, within a week and a half my vehicle stopped working, I was promised the vehicle was a good purchase and there wasn t anything wrong with it, I had the vehicle fully inspected by and auto repair shop turns out the entire engine needs to be replaced and would cost a few thousand dollars, I am a mom on disability and I feel like I was taken advantage of and legally this isn t fair I now have no transportation to get to and from UofM for my appointments they offer no help in this situation I was suggested to Do what needs to be done and that it ll cost me more to take them to court I am appalled that a business treats their customers this way.

Wish I could give this car lot a -5 star. Bought a BMW in January only drove it 2 weeks and had to have it towed to BMW dealer. I was told by dealer car was involved in flood and pretty much is lost cause. Aaron the owner was rude about it when he was told about situation. Would recommend that everyone avoid buying from this lot.

Both Aaron and Trae are fun guys and really pleasant to work with. I live in Grand Rapids and so I was about an hour away. Aaron was really accommodating - he offered to hold the car until I got there, and the condition was exactly how he described it, which is not always something you can expect. They also arranged to pick me up from the Enterprise rental shop. I am very happy with my car - and keep in mind, the dealer can't guarantee that you won't have mechanical issues, that's just the risk you take when you buy a car. Overall I am glad I found South Side and would recommend them to anyone.

DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS COMPANY WITHOUT TAKING IT TO A REPAIR SHOP FOR INSPECTION!My granddaughter bought a car at South Side Auto Sales a few months ago +/-$6000. In the first month the temp warning light came on. She called and South Side said the warranty was as-is?She did not have the money to take it in right away to get it looked at. The repair shop found a broken hose so around $250 for repair. After filling the anti-freeze coolant they took for test drive and found weird noises, rattles and shaking. They ran it up on the hoist and started looking and the whole frame and support system underneath was rusted out. They indicated that it was not a reparable issue and would need a new frame which would be way more than it was worth.Granddaughter and mother went to South Side to talk with the sales person about making it right and they were basically told "tough luck"!DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS COMPANY WITHOUT TAKING IT TO A REPAIR SHOP FOR INSPECTION!

Me and my Significant other used to love this dealership. We first bought a car about 3 years ago, from Harvey. We still have the car and it s only had problems in the last 7 months. Paid about $5500 for it. Now, The second car we had the struts were bad when purchasing it (but we knew about it and got it fixed) The battery was also no good, so after about 6 months we traded it for a 2007 Saturn Aura that seemed to be in perfect condition. We re still paying on this vehicle and haven t been able to drive it in 3 months because of the TRANSMISSION! The transmission suddenly went out. Irritating because we still owe over $5000 on it.

Just wanted to be sure that my experience here doesn't go unnoticed! I recently spent the past 3 weeks searching for a quality used car. After some very shady and frustrating test drives I stopped into South Side Auto Sales. From the very start it was not your typical car buying experience, my salesman Harvey felt more like a friend! He was never pushy, very knowledgeable and overall a very nice person! If you're looking for top notch service, I highly suggest you stop in and give them a try!

Aaron Paul was great, we didn't find what we are looking for just yet, but I've never felt more confident in a car salesman. He heard us and even though he didn't have our perfect something, he didn't try to sell us on something we didn't want. I'll definitely be going back!

Would put 0 stars if possible. The Ford Escape I was interested in had a beautiful exterior and interior, but I took it to a shop for a used car inspection and only got bad news. Car was overheating when I test drove it, which made me take it to a shop (thank god), and they found spray paint not only over rust and imperfections, but all over the undercarriage. They can try and tell you they would never purposely sell a faulty car, but they obviously knew there were issues they were trying to hide. My mechanic explained thoroughly everything that was wrong, which was a plethora. He estimated $1000s in repairs (which he was not trying sell me, he encouraged me to go elsewhere as he has seen this sleazy behavior many times before). I let them know I was having it looked at, and when we arrived back at their business he was trying to get me to give him the inspection report, applying pressure and really trying to convince to hand it over when I very obviously didn t want to and wasn t going to, he told me he was going to call the shop I went to (which I called and requested them not to release the information I paid for, to which they agreed). I m assuming he needed it because his shop only has spray paint, no actual mechanics or repairs happening. Was almost out $9000 + the $1000s in repairs that I would need.

I bought an 04 Dodge Durango from South Side. It's the best vehicle I've ever owned. Its needed some repairs here and there but it was used so that's to be expected. Bottom line, I got a great deal and I always feel comfortable telling others to go see Aaron if they're in the market for a new ride.

I stopped by to look at a 2007 Ford Escape XLT that I saw advertised online. We took it on a test drive, and loved it. After looking at it and talking with my mother, we decided we were going to buy it. Salesman, Trae, told us that there is a minor crack in the windshield and that they would replace it because they had a guy who does that stuff, and they never followed through. I have been driving this vehicle for less than a week, to and from school and work. Just today my muffler started to dangle close to the ground. Had it looked at and was told that I need a new exhaust system and muffler. This is disappointing because we were guaranteed our safety and were told that we shouldn t have to worry about anything major, like this, going wrong with the vehicle. Very upset with this situation. We were treated nicely at the dealership and to get home and not even drive this car for a week and something to go wrong is very aggravating.

If you read the 1-stars, you'll see most of them are petty complains about nitpicking details. I'm a 17 year old college student working two jobs and at the time of my experience with them my previous car had just died (transmission failure). I came in looking for a Honda Accord, and they had exactly what I wanted. I got an '04 loaded Honda Accord for 3700. They originally wanted 5k, but after taking it to the mechanic and seeing that it had a couple minor issues, which they were honest and admitting of, I talked them down. About a week after I drove off the lot, my alternator failed and I got a replacement. I want to stress that the problem I had was NOT to be foreseen by the salesman. They were honest, forthcoming, negotiable, and my Honda Accord hasn't had a problem since. Don't pay attention to the whiners putting one stars. They deserve five.

Just went there to purchase a vehicle a couple of days ago. Trae assisted me and i explained to him i just had a baby, she s 3 months old and i needed something nice and safe to put her in. Trae was really sweet, he was knowledgeable and extremely honest. I feel like her earned my trust. I would definitely recommend this place and Trae to anybody I know. I love my new vehicle as well also.

Went in to look at Jeep Wrangler I saw in their lot. Salesman Aaron, said it was really nice and was inspected and made perfect, but as-is. I asked for the carfax report and he looked at it himself, or so he acted like he did, then said it was perfect....I didn't catch that until i,was gone that he didn't let me see it myself. So i,drive away with supposedly a good jeep for $12,300 otd 2007 year. Aaron said it had new brakes and was inspected and worked on and the other guy there said it was really nice too. The jeep wouldn't stop that well, also serious squeaking coming from breaks, he had told me he put new brakes on.... so I took it into the brake center in Lansing and they told me that the pads were some type of a below standard grade brake pad that they've never seen anybody use before and that they were worse than anything they've seen. And that all of them had to be replaced and that they were junk. So then I took the Jeep 2 Ken's Automotive in Grand Ledge and they inspected it for me and they told me that all of the U-joints need to be replaced and the front axle needs to be replaced and the transmission is shot as well as whoever did the wiring for the headlights put HID headlights in and mess the job up completely. Also all of the lighting interior and exterior lighting as far as turn signals and headlights don't work because of a steering wheel and alignment issue and electrical short and grounding issue. They said I need a complete alignment but that that is the least of my concerns. Having to replace the front axle drive shaft and all the U joints as well as getting new brakes and an alignment. That's the type of product you get when you go to Southside Auto Sales and deal with Aaron. When I went to pick up my license plate from Aaron I told him that he told me I had new brakes on it and actually I was on my way to go and get new brakes on it and he didn't even say anything. He just looked down... I realize that I'm probably naive for trusting people... This type of thing makes me so angry... I had saved up 4 years and paid cash for this Jeep... do not go to Southside Auto Sales and do not deal with Aaron. I have a single-income family with six children... Needless to say I don't even know what I'm going to do. For the price that I paid for the Jeep and what it needs in order to even drive down the road I could have bought a brand new Jeep Wrangler instead of a 2007. Well what goes around comes around... I can't stand businesses that do things this way and people who do things this way and just play with people's lives like they'll never get in trouble or it'll never catch up with them... Please take this to heart this review and do yourself a favor and never go to this business. I paid actual cash dollars. Who put this vehicle on their lot... With a clear conscience sell this vehicle, Put somebody's kids at risk of an auto accident with all of these things wrong... Breaks my heart but there's business is out there like this and people like this. By the way it came with a keyless entry key that doesn't work. It didn't work when I bought it but he told me it was just the battery and that he promised me it would work and it doesn't. Aaron also told me at the time of purchase that the vehicle did not have an aftermarket lift on it but after I had bought it the guy in the middle at the desk told me that you really like the lift kit on the Jeep... I asked him what lift because Aaron said there wasn't one and he said oh yeah there is one I took it for a ride and it's lifted. Also there's a number of things that didn't match the description of the vehicle in their advertising. It's the most disgusting example of ever heard of a disgraceful sales transaction. I've had the jeep now 2 weeks and can't drive it at all. Thanks south side auto sales and Aaron , you've made your commissions and got a sucker to fall for your scam. Give me my money back and take this back, its undrivable, unsafe for me or for my children or for any other drivers on the road...

Stopped in today and test drove a vehicle. The staff was super courteous and kind. Because we are out of town, the salesman was working to make sure they could be available to meet our needs. I really appreciated the kindness and honesty.

False Advertising - Don't believe what they say in their ads. Just purchased a car from them for elderly mother. Ad said heated seats. The car does NOT have heated seats. Called and asked Aaron about this. His response was "oh I guess that was a mistake". No I guess that was false advertising. Make sure you go over their cars with a fine tooth comb!! Headlight was out, keyfob didn't work. I wouldn't trust them!!!

They had a really nice selection of cars to choose from. I went there because I had been following them on Craigslist for a couple of months and it seemed like the had some decent cars at some decent prices,....( I am in the 7-11 year old car with about 100,000 + or - for $2999 to $4500 range.) I stopped in to look at a 2003 Buick Lesaber w/ 119 K listed on C.L. for $3499. Car was close to fitting my needs but need a tad better. The Salesman was able to direct me to 3 to 4 other choices near my needs. I really appreciated that Harvey knew his "stock on hand" and was offered the convenience/luxury of viewing 3 to 4 cars in one place in 10 to 15 mins time. I am not one to waist time driving around to diff car lots wasting my OR their time. It was a REAL time saver in my opinion. While I did not actually buy a car I had the sensation that I would have been treated fairly and receive a good/fair value for my money. I realize these are "previously owned" cars with around 100k on them. So I do realistically expect some issues that will come along that I will have to fix etc. What makes them attractive to me is that I am prolly going to get 2,3, or 4 years use out of the car that I only paid,...let's say $3500 for. Then sell it for 900 to 1000 when I'm done. So net cost 2500 divide by 3 years equals approx $833/year or $69 per month. The numbers are pretty crazy attractive I'd say. Please thumbs up my review if you find it helpful

We just bought our third vehicle from South Side in the past two years. Most of our family fleet have come from there. Aaron and his people are no-fuss, no muss types who don't play games. I expect we'll be back when we are ready to shop again.

A very disappointing experience. When selling a product of any kind, the seller should understand that his or her behavior towards a potential customer, is the first impression. It's the deciding factor between a current, continued and loyal customer, or a never in a million years sort of outlook. I'll stick with the latter. Good luck!
