Recently purchased a used vehicle. The staff were courteous, efficient, and kind. If you are in the market for new or used vehicles, especially Jeep, Chrylser, or Dodge, I would encourage you to stop in. I worked with Lo, and I will definitely do it again when I am ready for another vehicle.

Liam was great. He was very friendly, attentive and helpful. The dealership was nice and clean and the staff was very friendly. We reached out about the type of vehicle we were interested in on a Friday and we purchased the vehicle on a Monday. The vehicle we found was at a different location. They contacted the other location and got the vehicle to their dealership by the next morning so we could look at it. It was a very quick turnaround and we appreciate all the help.

Noticed a puddle of oil under truck while on trip to Lansing area for funeral. Pulled into LaFontaine and amazing staff had truck on a lift and fixed error made by a different dealership in Grand Rapids during recent oil change. Was back on the road within an hour, with no charge for fix. Will definitely look toward servicing and purchasing next vehicle from this business with strong customer service and concern for safety!

Liam Donahue was very helpful with this being my first experience. He was very flexible with my masses about of questions. He was always willing to go out of his way to assist me and it made my purchase a smooth process. Emma Tompkins was very professional and helped make things simple and easy for my first car purchase! Would highly recommend working with both of them!

I had an amazing experience. My car would not start and I had to have my car towed here. I had purchased my Jeep at a completely different dealership and this was my first experience at LaFontaine. My customer service rep was Jenny and I can not say enough good things about her. She was kind and kept me calm in what could have been a stressful situation. She kept in contact with me as my car arrived, checked me in and went above and beyond to correct an issue with delivery of my car that was absolutely not something she had to help me with and she did anyways. David was my contact during my cars diagnosis and repair. He told me on Wednesday he would contact me no later than Friday afternoon with my diagnosis. He contacted me at 13:00 on Friday for approval of repairs and had my car fixed and ready to be picked up by 17:00. David answered every question I had and was extremely easy to work with. Everyone I came in contact with was so friendly and had amazing customer service. I appreciate their kindness and expertise, it made what could have been an extremely stressful event incredibly smooth.

Josh did a great job at being a relatable, reliable, and honest salesman. He delivered what he said he could. He worked hard for us as well. We had very pleasant conversations. All around I'd give him 5 stars, and recommend him to a friend buying a car. The manager aj also did a great job! Overall great experience!

I had a fuel tank band pull through the frame in my ram. It had a recall for that part and I first called champion who I ve done business with in the past, they found out my truck was originally Canadian so they said I was gonna have to drive my truck to Canada for that warranty to work. Then I called Lafontaine, talked to a guy named Shawn and with in the day, he jumped through some hoops and got dodge to approve my recall and got it done for me give youre business to lafontaine, they atleast care more than the other guys.

We're so excited for our new adventures in our Jeep, thanks again Liam!!! P.s.- LA Fontaine this guy deserves a raise!! Js-

Excellent customer service. They did a great job on my vehicle. My car was returned to me washed and polished. They also provided a free loaner car which was very helpful.

This review is about the service department. I cannot speak to the sales side of this business. This is by far the most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. Not just in the history of my vehicle troubles, but I am talking about all businesses that I have ever dealt with. Lafontaine left me without a car for over 2 months. My insurance adjuster made it clear to me that this is a fix that should have taken between 3 days to a couple weeks max if they didn t have the parts. If you are looking for decent communication, this place is not it. Over the 2 months I had to be in talks with this location, there was only a 25% chance that I would be able to get someone on the phone when I called(during business hours). I would call my service advisor and the shop several times. You learn to just not even leave a message, because they do not respond to it anyway. If you are working with an insurance agency, good luck, because the representatives here will NOT contact them back. Despite how many times Progressive attempted to make contact with them, I often had to play middle man to contact the insurance agency and Lafontaine. At one point, I called this place(between my father and I) *nine* times in two days, with no answers. I ended up going to the dealership in person because I was so beyond frustrated. This place had such poor communication skills inside the service center itself that I would be told one thing by one person and a whole different thing by another.Just to add insult to injury, the day I planned to pick up the vehicle I called to ensure that it was done so I could pick it up before work. I was told they were finishing it up then asked me how much I expected to pay. Service advisor proceeded to put me on hold for 30 minutes, effectively making it so that I had no time to pick up the vehicle before work. He called me back 20 minutes after I had hung up, just to say he got caught up with another customer and to give him a call back. This isn't even all of the insanity that they did over these two months. I would have been in my right mind to ask the dealership cover the deductible after the amount of nonsense that they put me through but honestly, I was so ready to take my vehicle back from being held here, I just forked it over.Do yourself a favor and just avoid the service here if you can. From the vibes I got, they do this to several people. If I was smarter and a month younger, I would just remove my car from their service and quite literally pay out of pocket to get the work done anywhere else.

This seems to be a common theme now as I am reading reviews and maybe should have read some before trying to take our jeep in. Our jeep lost power wheel steering along with a bunch of warnings on the dash board we called the dealership to see if we could get an appointment to my surprise we could get in the next day Great ! BUT HERE LIES THE PROBLEM we are told oh no you just drop your car off we will get back to you with what may be the problem in the next 48hrs and then we could have your car longer than that. And appointment time means that is the time you are suppose to diagnosis what they problem of my car might be not get back with me in 2 days. A lot of people don t have the luxury of having two cars and the fact you don t even have loaner cars in an already crowded parking lot is crazy. Offer something! Either don t schedule appointments on top of other people or just be transparent when booking on the phone. It s not right for me to lug all my family in the car to the dealership and find someone to drive us all back just to be told you definitely won t get your car back for at least 2 days while we diagnose but could be longer. Look into other Jeep dealerships for your business I know we will.

Seems like a nice place. My service tech did a good job. However, I left it for an issue that had to be figured out. I was told that it would take 24 to 48 hours for diagnostics. After 36 hours, it still wasn't complete, so I had to stop them so I could have my vehicle back. After waiting 1+ weeks to have an appointment and described the issue when I made the appointment, I was disappointed that it could not be fixed.Edit. After getting ahold of the service manager as requested in their response, I made a second appointment to fix the issue. They were very apologetic and guaranteed same day turnaround. Even though they had to trace an electrical issue and ultimately remove the rear seat to fix the issue, they kept their promise. I will be going back.

From customer service, to follow through, to understanding time crunches, to catering to our needs, to finding us what we were looking for in budget, to working with us on a few things we wanted different, each person we worked with truly made our experience amazing. The process was easy, quick, and huge shoutout to Tommy in sales, AJ in service and Emma in finance for their amazing customer service. They accommodated my needs and make this experience a great one! We love our new Jeep!

LaFontaine was a big disappointment. We called to make an appointment to service my Jeep on Monday, February 5 - they said to drop it off 4 days later for an appointment. During the time of said appointment, my husband received a phone call on from one of the staff telling him they would keep the car for another 3 days until they could diagnose the issue with the vehicle and then service would follow after.I find it ridiculous that an appointment means "wait three days." Who has time for that, especially when we called days in advance to schedule the appointment. The staff member did not apologize but rather told us that they were backed up and there was nothing they could do. I'll tell you what they could do - honor the appointments they take and if they are backed up (like they say they are), they should give their customer a courtesy call telling them there is a delay, and allow them to take their vehicle. Or, instead of appointments, do walk-ins only, but you can't do both. I will not be returning back to LaFontaine and they will not be getting any further business.

I took my vehicle in, they said the problem was a coil was damaged. I paid a diagnostic fee, and they worked on it using my extra warranty. A couple of days later I still had the engine light on. The server tech Matain, said I wouldn't have to pay another diagnostic fee, because the first one wasn't correct. After the repair was done, they changed me another diagnostic fee. They said my warranty people wouldn't pay for the additional diagnostic fee. I felt they should have applied the diagnosis fee I paid when I first took it in. I thought, if the first diagnosis had been correct I wouldn't have to pay second fee. Also the tech Martin said (I'll talk with the warranty people and see about getting me a rental car) well that didn't happen. He said he called but forgot to make sure the warranty people knew about the rental car. He stated he called back but couldn't get an answer. After couple days I called Martin again, and he stated he had been trying to reach the warranty people But couldn't. I got off the phone with he and called the warranty company, and got through with no problem. I told him I had talked with them, no problem. Then he called me back and said he didn't have any rental cars to rent me. In conclusion I paid for two diagnostic services, got the run around for a month, and no rental car. I got the (FAMILY DEAL, )alright.

Don t even know where to begin. Dropped my SRT jeep off on monday 5pm for it to be stolen Tuesday 4am right off the lot (which it shouldn t of been parked outside regardless) and they were even notified my previous Srt was stolen from champion Chrysler now I m out a car , thousands of dollars and a heartache . Lafontaine offered no compensation or even a HEY we will give you a good deal on a new car. Honestly very disappointed now I have to live the rest of my live not trusting another dealership ever again. Do NOT take your high end car here at all somebody there will tip it off and get it stolen bottom line.

Absolutely pissed with this dealership. My husband and I bought a vehicle from them less than 6 months ago and bought a warranty with it. Salesman and the finance lady failed to explain that because the vehicle has over 125,000 miles on it the warranty won t cover certain things so now I m out of a vehicle right now and looking at having to spend $3800 on my engine. Thanks a whole hell of a lot for selling me a damn warranty that s literally useless and selling me a vehicle that I m paying on and can t even drive. Don t waste your damn time with these people at this dealership.

Service department took a week to diagnose a cam issue then lied about where the trouble was and how long it would take to get it done.Service writer Zane said the problem was deep inside the motor when in fact it just on top( overhead cam ) then wouldn't return phone call or make a call to inform of what they found out, now they want to charge flat rate for a an oil cooler that's inside the top of the motor they already have tore down, they want to charge my 85 year old father aldo a veteran more money because of it being a warranty job and those don't pay the same as a regular customer gets charged. Both me and my father have worked in the mechanical field and I've been a service writer before and this is disappythat a large dealership is scamming people. If the engine is already tore down for one repair then why are they charging another tear down fee.Makes no sense to me but they were rude, lied, tried to hide the actually diagnosis and lied some more and also failed to inform the customer in a timely fashion. Very poor service department.

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!I have been using this place for years and trusted they were properly taking care of my vehicle! Was I wrong! Bought tires from them less than 3 years ago with a 65,000 mile tire warranty. Took my vehicle there like clockwork to get my oil changed and tires rotated (which is free since I bought them there). I m told that I need some new tires already. I ve driven less than 30,000 miles on the current ones. When I asked them how they were going to help me with honoring a tire warranty or giving me a large discount on new ones because obviously this is their fault I was told the warranty was void because I didn t get my tires rotated regularly. I obviously have proof that I brought my vehicle in like clockwork for service since I brought it into them. They tell me that they did not do tire rotations AND WHY NOT?? They say because I declined. AND WHY WOULD I DECLINE A FREE SERVICE THAT WAS NEEDED? They were not asking me if I wanted my tires rotated. I guess I was assuming they were automatically doing it since it was something that needed to be done every 6,000 miles and it was a service they were supposed to provide free to me since I purchased my tires there!!! So here I am not even 3 years later needing to purchase new tires, which I will DEFINITELY NOT be purchasing from them! Or using them for any services since they ve shown they are not trustworthy, or take responsibility for their neglect!

Do NOT recommend this place. Took in my husband s truck to trade in. Their system was down so they told us they would call first thing in the morning. Had to reach out to them because we had no response. We were told they would give us $34,000 for the truck and that was the highest they could go. We agreed and started making plans for another vehicle. Within 3 hours we received a message back that said, sorry I spoke with management and they took back what they offered and don t want to give you that amount. You should try another dealership . So not only are they offering prices and then just deciding to take back their offer but they are also recommending other dealerships.

This was our 1st visit to this dealer. We live on the opposite side of town but have always wanted to check out this Jeep dealer. Our Wrangler just needed routine maintenance and everything was done well and completed a bit sooner than promised. I had made the appointment online which I find extremely convenient. The waiting room was comfortable and included a lovely coffee bar. The restroom appeared new and clean. I stopped in the sales lot to look at a Gladiator and was promptly greeted by Thomas, so now I may decide to contact him about trading in our other vehicle. Thanks for the great service LaFontaine!

Can not say enough good things about Taj. Taj was very patient and answered every question I had until we found a vehicle that was exactly what I was looking for. If you are looking for a new vehicle come see Taj or any of the salespeople here. They will take care of you!

They got to it right away like they said they would, let me know what they found and got right to the repairs. They did a good job relatively quickly and at a good price. I am satisfied with the work done

Service experience at this location is maddening. Jeep was in for a recall issue, and I also scheduled a warranty issue when making the appointment. The warranty issue was not communicated to the dealership, so that was unknown by them, parts weren t ordered, etc. Not the first time there has been miscommunication between the phone center and the local location. Then AFTER the warranty issue was taken care of, it took days for engineering to approve of the repair before my vehicle could be returned. All in all I was without my vehicle for 2 weeks. This is a vehicle that I lease. I feel as if I lost a half of a month s payment.SALES experience at this location has been great, so there s an extra star for that!

My wife bought a 2022 wagoneer from them and has had nothing but issues. The mechanics thier seam to not know what they are doing leaving her stranded on the side of the road now 2x at 5am. They also charged for an oil change that was never done. They said it must have fell thru the cracks. This place is a joke! I recommend going anywhere but here
