***they wanted to pay me to not writethis***Had a radiator replaced, and the job never quite got done. First thing I caught, after they said it was done, was ducting that was removed for the install sitting loose under my hood. With the fasteners spread around along the edges of the hood. I took it back (whilst getting some other work done) they gave me a discount on an alignment to make up for it and I thought it was all good. A few days later I hear rattling under the hood. It was my radiator cooling fan hanging by the electrical cables loose and rubbing against other components. There were no fasteners attaching it to the radiator and I could move the radiator back and forth with one finger. Took it back and when they said it was fixed I took a look under the hood before I left the parking lot that time. They did install the top two fasteners but the bottom of the fan housing was hanging loose with no mechanical connection. I was then informed that they just didn t install them because the radiator was aftermarket and different from the original. So because it was the wrong part they just left it half installed. They never contacted me about any fitment issue. The mechanic rushed to fix it in the parking lot, looking for a screw that would work. When he was done I was told he made it work , on one side but there wasn t anything to attach to on the other. So 1/4 of my fan housing will now be hanging loose. After all this I talked to the manager and worked out a deal for a partial refund. I would have to sign something that said they weren t liable and I would get some money back. When I got there to sign, it was basically a gag order. I wouldn t be allowed to publish anything about this interaction if I took the money. I asked for a copy so my lawyer could review the document and was told that I could not have a copy of it until I signed it even tho it says in the document that I could have a lawyer review it. They did send a copy to my lawyer eventually, once they realized I had one. So they were willing to pay to not have this story told. And they were scared for me to have a copy of their gag document.Anyway I hope they didn t forget to attach anything else All in all, would not recommend.

Dakota handled everything perfectly. I was on the road, had a flat, and was towed late Saturday. I showed up Sunday at the opening and in 2 hours I was back on the road. He could have sold me a tire at any price, yet he put on a moderately priced tire. I only have great things to say about my experience. Thank you Firestone E Lansing and Thank You Dakota

I had the unfortunate luck of popping a tire on a 7 hour trip back to my hometown, out of state. This location got me in right away and were SO helpful and SO nice! I'm SO thankful for the service we were provided here. They immediately eased my anxiety and made a bad situation less stressful. I can't thank them enough. :)

I called for a concern about leaking coolant in my vehicle, after this location had helped me with an AC repair on a different vehicle last year. I was told to bring it in quickly and the technician could look at it that day, but he was off the next two days, so to hurry. I had my husband leave work to help me deliver the vehicle 20 minutes from my home. We dropped it off and heard nothing for a couple days. When I called, I was rudely told that I had been told it may not get looked at that day. That was a complete lie. I said I could be patient and I understood but that that was not true. He eventually backpedaled and explained that the technician got involved with a different repair that took much longer than expected. I waited longer and received an encouraging call, saying they could not find anything wrong with the vehicle. I insisted there must be something wrong because of a leak and a burning smell, plus engine coolant missing from the reservoir. They called the next day to say that it was definitely not showing anything. I picked it up and paid the diagnostic fee, although they did not diagnose anything. While driving home, they called to tell me that they forgot to replace a part, an engine cover. We only drive this vehicle once a week, so when we went to drive it the next week we went back to pick up the cover. The next morning we discovered a very large puddle of coolant on our garage floor. I called Rob to tell him about it and he told me I would need to have it towed back to the shop to have it looked at again, at my expense. We really did not want to spend the extra money to have it towed, so we took it to a place right around the corner from our home. They quickly identified a large hole in the radiator and a few other things that were completely missed at Firestone. They also expressed that it seems unethical to charge a diagnostic fee for not diagnosing anything. I called Rob back to express my concerns. He was demeaning and disrespectful, accusing me of saying that his technicians don't deserve to be paid. I told him that those were his words, I never even inferred that. My concerns were that his technicians not only completely missed a clear diagnosis, but that they charged us for it, and they forgot to put a part back. Clearly if you can't remember to put a large piece back on the engine, you might miss a large hole in the radiator too.Update: just got the vehicle back from another shop. After $1700 in replacing the radiator, axel seals, etc., we were told there's no way Firestone could have missed the leak if they actually checked.

Riley was very helpful and gave me the run down on what they found on the car I was interested in buying, what that would mean for the car down the road and their own opinion when I asked for it. Service was quick and easy and very helpful

I am disappointed in the service I have received not once but twice! I had an appointment scheduled for a week to get tires on my vehicle, which the store had to order. When I arrived to my appointment they did not have the tires at the store. This has now happened twice where I have had appointments and the tires are not at the store. They had a week to get the tires and I was told last week they would be there Monday and on Friday for my scheduled appt the store still didn t have them. A phone call would have been nice on Thursday as a heads up versus showing up and finding out. Yes, he got me in later that day and I was in and out fairly quick. The Manager also went to pick the tires up when they arrived at the place they ordered them from but I don t understand the miscommunication between the store and a customer, myself. I unfortunately will not be returning to this location as this has now happened twice where I have showed up and they are trying to track down my tires. When you have an appt scheduled you d think they would have you all set or would be courteous enough to let you know before showing up at the shop. Also, the store was pretty dirty. The floor and mats. Yes I know it s Michigan in the wintertime but it didn t look like it had be mopped in many days.

Had my truck in there today with new inner and outer tierods. New upper ball joints. All I wanted was an alignment. After an hr of waiting they said the passengers side needed to be replaced and I could not get the alignment done.. I went down the road to bell tire and they got the alignment all squared away. Not sure if they are just lazy at Firestone but I'm not going back there. Under trained or just not trained at all

First off, I'm still a bit put off by my experience but maybe this feeling will settle with time. I've often avoided large franchises due to fear of being overcharged. I recent took my vehicle to a shop several miles from me to avoid this Firestone. However, after calling this Firestone for a quote on the work I had just had done elsewhere that came back almost identical I figured I'd give them a chance.I took them my Acura to have a head light replaced. They let me know what they thought the price would be (very reasonable) and what it might become if my vehicle needed a certain kind of headlight bulb. Sure enough it did. On the new quote $220 was for the bulb and $60-ish for the labor. I then did some research and found the bulb for $104.When I returned to have the work done I handed the gentlemen the bulb and he told me he couldn't install a customer part. (By the way, the employees there have always been very professional and friendly. Even during this exchange where we didn't see eye to eye. KUDOS to them.) I commented that I was sure they couldn't warranty something where the customer had provided the part. He agreed. I stated I was fine with the work not being warrantied and asked if he would replace the bulb and charge me for labor. He then remarked that it was against company policy and that he wouldn't jeopardize the job for me. For this I don't blame him. For this I blame Firestone, for not giving their employees to make common sense business decisions that benefit their bottom line, the customer, the employee and the community.Once again the employees (I know I have had other interactions with their staff, not sure if I had work done) have always been friendly and great to interact with. In this instance, it would have been nice for the gentleman, to step back and say that he understood my position. However, he couldn't go against company policy. Instead, he was professional, but stern and slightly stand offish, (which I understand I was challenging something he had told me) a demeanor which caused me to take my 2nd vehicle, (which was sitting in their parking lot to have some other work done) to find someone else to do business with. My conclusion, is you can get some jobs done here at a fair price and with a great staff. However, for smaller things be aware of the markup being charged on the parts. Also, where as I would give the employees high marks. Firestone corporate has created an environment that prevents their employees from making sound business decisions.

I spoke to a female who scheduled my appointment. I was even on hold as she checked. She told me how much my oil change would be and once I got to the store I was told something completely different. The assistant manager said the call center probably made a mistake. This is second time I was told completely different Price for my oil change. FIRESTONE NO LONGER GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR CUSTOMERS AND FEMALE CUSTOMERS AREN'T TAKEN SERIOUSLY.

I took my car to get my break pads and rotors replaced. While picking up my car, the guy goes there was a weird light on in your dash but we just decided to drive your car around and it went off. EXCUSE ME!?Ended up leaving with lights on my dash saying something about my emergency break. Called to ask what happened, they couldn t help me because the person that worked on it, was not there the next day. Neither was the manager. Had to get a rental car (after a couple hours of a headache) they finally got me a rental car that I couldn t even pick up until the next day. Firestone called the same day I got the rental car to let me nothing was wrong with my car and that I had to come pick it up.Turns out, the light came back on!!! At this point my car was PERFECTLY FINE before I took it to them. They wouldn t help me!I ended up taking my car to a dealership and turns out, Firestone CUT A WIRE while during my break job. THANKS ALOT! Never will come to any Firestone locations ever again and will be telling everyone I know to stay away!

Friend had brought in they're car for a previous botched job Firestone had done so I went with my friend back to this store to get it fixed by them or at least show them the damage they had created and the safety hazard created by having a basically detached front bumper.Technicians looked like they knew they had created a botched job and had gone back to "work on the car" and the front desk assistant came back in about 20 minutes later saying "they did all they could do" meaning put 2 bolts back out of the 7 bolts missing. Then he said that we could either go on our way or we could file with claims to be told "basically the same thing" that they couldn't fix it and there was preexisting damage caused by them.

Booked an appointment for wheel alignment on Sunday around 3pm. Received a call from Firestone in the morning asking to come early if I can as he is available with no work. After an hour again received a call from same person saying the the wheel alignment machine is broke so he requested to cancel or reschedule my appointment if not I will receive an email with cancellation shortly. But never received an email with cancellation. Looks like the mechanic doesn t work on Sundays so playing with customers. I lost faith in this store. How come Firestone hire someone who is not interested to work or respect customers.

We are from Indiana and found ourselves broke down in Michigan. Firestone was very good and efficient in diagnosing our problem .While it required a dealer intervention, they helped us find a dealer nearby .Highly recommend

My car had been leaking coolant so I came in and they took care if the problem, or so they said. Less than a month later I was driving on the highway when my car started shooting out smoke. When I got the results from the tow company, they said the only issue I had was low coolant. So I brought it in again and they fixed it, again. My check engine light kept coming on and my coolant was lower than it should be so I bright it to them again. They couldn't find the problem, so they just replaced the work they already did. This seemed to help, but a month later I noticed low coolant again. I called them up to set up another appointment and it felt like they were trying to push me along. Maybe they didn't believe me, but it felt incredibly rude. That's when I decided enough was enough and I took my car to Belle Tire. The only reasons I kept going to Firestone was because I wanted them to do the job correctly and because at that point I had a credit card through them. After 15 minutes of my car being looked over at Belle Tire, they figured out the issue. After firestone replaced parts in my car, they didn't let the air out, so I had a lot of air in my system. The technical term on my receipt was "Burped".I would also like to say that they lost 2 of my appointments since I started going to Firestone. The only reason this isn't a 1 star review is because I think initially they got the diagnosis correct, but they didn't finish the job and it ended up costing me a lot more in the end and took away my sense if safety while driving. I almost bought myself a new car because of this whole mess, so it almost cost me a lot more.Do yourself a favor if you're looking for car services, and go somewhere else.Update: Changed to a 1 star because my car broke down again, and when I got it looked at, I found out that Firestone put in the wrong part the first time around.

Only reason it's not 1 star is because they were able to give me an appointment within 24 hours of me calling them. That's about the only benefit. The tires I bought, Firestone Destination LE3s, have been good, and I have no complaints with the tires themselves (and I shouldn't- being that it was almost $1000 to get them put on, because my vehicle calls for 18" tires). The problem soon started to show thru, after a few weeks. Every single time I would go over a big bump, my TPMS light would turn on. The only way to get it to turn off was to put air in the tires. This was happening almost weekly, until recently. My vehicle calls for 38 psi of air in each tire. I have noticed that when my TPMS light turns on, 3 of the 4 tires are usually at 35-38 psi, but my front passenger's tire is only at about 25-30. This has been a reoccurring theme. The tires I had previously were made by a no-name Chinese company and were 8 years old and almost bald when I replaced them, and I never once had the TPMS light come on, EVER, even in the cold. Those tires, for being so cheap, never lost air, and my rims never had a leak. Between my front passenger's tire constantly being 10-15 psi under what it should be, even if I add air to it a week before, to having my TPMS light turn on EVERY SINGLE TIME I go over a large bump, clearly something on my vehicle was broken under their care. I spent almost $1000 at this establishment, I should not have to be dealing with a broken TPMS sensor/module, or a rim that was messed up, causing a leak, or both.Once again, the ONLY reason I give this place 2 stars is because I could get in within 24 hours. This was my first time in years not going to Belle Tire (whom I have NEVER had ANY issues with) and I will be sticking with Belle Tire from now on. Skip this place and go to Belle Tire or even Discount Tire a mile or so down the road, you won't regret it.Service: Tires

The staff was friendly and courteous, but I was not given an upfront price. I had called earlier that day to ask the cost and was told they would let me know before doing the service. I wasn t thinking when I got to the place to ask, primarily because a staff person looked up my account and said something about a complimentary headlight install (he said he was new to the desk area). I was charged $46.87 to install my passenger headlight. Because that seemed like a lot to me, I called the Honda dealership and they told me that I could have purchased a bulb for $13 and they would install it for free or I could bring my own bulb and they would install it for free. Lesson learned to make sure I double check the price, and comparison shop beforehand, but this is a large price difference from the dealership to Firestone s price. For thorough service I would have liked the transparency of being told up-front without needing to ask what the service cost.

Nice guys here. They do cheap $10 vehicle inspections, so it's great if you want to buy a used car. They are a bit more expensive than smaller mechanic places, but they also have set prices, so you won't be cheated. They also have more garage space, so you can get a quicker time.Shout out to the redheaded mechanic. He was very nice and explained everything in detail.

I'd like to start off by saying that the staff present on the day I had my vehicle worked on were courdial and attentive. Unfortunately one of the services I paid for involved them removing my driver's side tire to replace the battery. They must have forgotten to tighten the lug nuts correctly because by the time I realized what was happening, only one of the five lug nuts were actually secure. Thankfully I realized and resolved the issue before I was missing a tire. It's hard when doing your job correctly means that the safety of others beyond the customer could be placed in jeopardy. We all have off days and I'm happy to chalk up this simple mistake for what it is, it's just terrifying what could have happened.

Couldn't be happier with the service I receive at this location. Rob in the front and his team of guys in the shop always have me leaving satisfied. I like to oversee the whole process to make sure it is done how I would do it myself and Rob and his guys are always accommodating to this and let me know what is being done at what time, continuously keeping me up to date. They go above and beyond for me and it is truly appreciated.

Edit: They got me in swiftly and were super friendly and quick with my car the next time. They got me in within a week, and reached out to me about this situation within 24 hours to make things right.Usually I like coming here because the staff is nice, but my last experience was definitely subpar. I had an appointment at 9 am to get my tire alignment checked. at about 9:30 a technician (?) came out and said they mixed up my car with another lady so it will be slightly longer wait, but my car will be in next. after an hour, so at this point, 10:30 am, no one had said a word to me and my car was still in the lot. I just left, and the technician didn't really say much to be me about it. I am just disappointed because my time was wasted and no one seemed to care or offer a solution. I only come to Firestone because I thought they were friendly.Service: Wheel alignment

Made an appointment for 9 am to have my brakes serviced. An hour and a half later hadn't heard anything so I called them. Still didn't have an estimate. This is for a simple brake job. Finally, more than 2 hours after dropping the truck off they called with an estimate. I agreed and asked how much longer. They told me should be done by 1 pm. I walk to the shop just before 1 pm. Truck still being worked on. They finally bring it out a bit after 2 pm but when the employee tested the brakes one of the caliper assemblies came loose so back in the shop. Finally left there about 2:30. Five and a half hours for a brake job.Service: Brake service & repair

I bought a lifetime alignment from another one and then made an appointment a year afterwards to get it redone at this Firestone. They denied me because one tire was at maybe 3/32. When the tire is changed it ll change the tread depth and so the alignment will get messed up but that s not your job I just need an alignment. I paid for the lifetime alignment for a reason. And I promise they didn t care about that they just wanted to tell me no so they could upsell some horrible tires to me for $1200 extra, I am just trying to find reasons why someone would say that. Deny people all you want for their mechanical issues that could break while you re aligning it, the amount of tread left has nothing to do with your ability to do your damn job. Lazy and broke workers trying everything they can for their tiny little commission. Honestly just sad.
