Great, helpful & reliable people. We used their mechanical service this time but a year ago they fixed my vehicle after a deer accident. They kept me informed during repairs despite the current situation of supply availability for a new headlight assembly. They made it work until the new one came so I could drive my vehicle safely! Awesome!

Days before heading out of town my AC stopped working. I panicked a little but Barnum and Tenny got me in and not only fixed that, but did my brakes and switched out the bulbs in my headlights so I could actually see! They were nice but they spent over 2 weeks repairing my husband's car yet they still didnt repair some of the scratches and dents on the car.

Came to Barnum a year and a half ago for body work after hitting a deer. Super easy to work with, friendly, and efficient. Had my car done in a week and I got a loaner no questions asked. Answered all my questions with no hesitation. Needed mechanical work done a few months ago and they were the first people I thought of to come to. Great price and super efficient. Other garages wanted $150+ just to run a diagnostic test, Barnum only around $80 and went towards the service itself. Great people. Barnum and Tenny did a great job with the body repairs on my car. Top notch service from Michael kept me informed about progress on the work. They made the process of two separate insurance claims very smooth and even handled the repairs on the second claim on extremely short notice. Very good service and very good communication. They made the badly crunched in rear of our van beautiful again. They stuck to their 7.5 month old estimate, which was similar in price to what two other shops estimated. They offered a loaner vehicle, while the other two shops did not.

I had my 2005 Ford Mustang restored and painted. The results were amazing and my car looks like new! I get lots of comments on it. Everything from their customer service to their body work is top notch! Barnum and Tenny has be n in Lansing for about 100 years. They know how to fix your car. Staff are friendly and helpful. They work through supply chain and delay issues to get you vehicle done as soon as possible. They work with all major insurance companies as well. From dents and dings to major repairs, they can do it right.

I came by to get a quote for fixing some rust on my car. They were honest about it being ungodly expensive and gave me advice that if it didn t bother me too much, I d be better off driving it as is due to the high cost of parts. They also answered my questions and gave me advice on other problem areas with my car and exactly who to go to for each/how much I should spend on each. The focus was never on making a sale, but rather helping someone out! Definitely felt comfortable throughout the experience and walked away knowing where to come back in the future.

Barnum and Tenny is my go-to for any work that my car needs. The staff is friendly, and as a woman who doesn't know a lot about cars, I know that I can trust them to give me honest answers without any fear of being taken advantage of! The office staff are always friendly and I always feel comfortable leaving my vehicle with them. On my last visit, even though they were busy, my car was fixed within 24 hours and for a very reasonable price.

Mediocre ExperienceI brought my 2016 truck in for a leaking third taillight and both of my fog lights were not functioning. I was quoted $50 for resealing the taillight and for diagnosing the fog lamps.PROS: They fit me in immediately, were very polite, and the third taillight has not leaked since the repair, all of which I am very happy with.CONS: Unfortunately, I was told both LED fog lights were, "burned out." I knew I had to replace the entire assembly on both sides due to the LED nature of the lights. After a quick Google, I found the price would be close to $500 for the lights alone! I called GM and was referred to the dealer to finalize the diagnosis and repair. The dealer called me later the following day and said a simple plug was not clipped properly resulting in the malfunction. When I called Barnum and Tenny to ask why they misdiagnosed the problem, I was told that because they couldn't find any problem, they just assumed the bulbs were bad. They offered their sincerest apologies but wouldn't dream of a refund or credit. There was no response when I asked, "What if I purchased new fog light assemblies for $500 and found it was just a clip that was off?" Safe to say I won't be back.

I rented a uhaul trailer through this business. They were extremely professional and went above and beyond to help me. This was my first time pulling a trailor with my car, and they staff was very helpful instructing me what I would need and setting it up for me. They went above and beyond and I'm very grateful

I called this company about a broken brake line on a Chevy express 1500 cargo van. I asked specifically if they could fix this . They said yes and we will get it done in a timely matter. I spent $100 to get it towed and they called me and Said they are not interested in doing the work. So I would not recommend this company I would ask them specifically if they can do the work before getting your vehicle towed thereService: Brakes

We use these guys every time we need repairs done. I've recommended them to all my family and friends. Service with a smile and they get the job done right. Took my car in after white smoke was coming out of the hood. I thought it was the water pump leaking coolant but it turns out it was oil leaking out of the valve cover. I took my car in before my vacation and they were very flexible and allowed me to keep my car there for a week while I was gone. When I came back they showed me how I actually didn't need to replace the water pump and told me I was all set. I asked how much I owed them and they said since they didn't need to replace the water pump their time was complementary. They just asked that if I couldn't fix the oil leak on my own I take my car there. Great service, would recommend!

I have referred so many people to Mark the magician mechanic over the years. I went to a dealership, they told me I needed a new computer module ($500 and up). Took it to Mark - he changed the key fob and it worked. Cant put a price on honesty. I had some major work done at this shop and they were great. My truck looks like I never got in a wreck...awesome! It was going to take two weeks to have it all so and they gave me a full size SUV loaner car which I appreciated very much as I needed the room. My truck looks great and I would recommend them!

This is our first time using Barnum and Tenney. They did an excellent repair on our truck at a fair price and get it done in a timely manner in spite of employee shortages. We will use them again. Highly recommend.

If you want professional service on your car , take it to Barnam &Tenny Lansing Michigan.Every time my check engine light comes on lm there. I m a frequent flyer there. The guys up from are helpful and get me in to see Mark Berrythe amazing mechanic that fixes it if it needs fixed. He s very honest and I would recommend him too everyone. Especially if you are a woman or senior citizen on a fixed income. I had a local auto dealership out by Culver s tell me I needed a new modem for my auto lock fob. About 700.00 Marc checked it out , looked on line and gave me the info to order a fob on line 15.00.How many places would do that for you ? Most would take your money. If I could give you no stars I would. This place has been an absolute joke since day one. I brought my Pontiac G8 in for front end work after having been involved in an accident. I was reluctant to go here for multiple reasons. One being that i had already gotten an estimate at a local competitor and was impressed with their work as well as their staff. Two, when I pulled up to Barnum and Tenny I wasn't sure if I had arrived at the right place, it appeared as if the place hadn't been operational in years. Three, when I arrived a man came out, attempted to do the estimate. I had brought the other estimate with me and he just pretty much copied what they had written. So against my better judgement I went with them. I was referred to them by a friend of my mothers. I would have went with my gut had it not been for them "eating my deductible. This job took about a week longer than quoted. Mind you, all my parts had been ordered and had arrived by the time I brought my car in. So after their finish date kept extending more and more, I asked them for a rental car. they said they were out of them. 2 days later I asked again and they proceeded to give me some 2004 impala that stained my clothes after sitting in it. I had no choice, a reliable means of transportation is a must have more my job. That very next day, I stopped to use the restroom, when I came back out the car wouldn't start. nothing. I called Barnum and Tenny and they didn't seem to know what to do. I ended up having to pay for the towing back to their "shop." I have still yet to receive full reimbursement for this tow, resulting in my AAA account becoming delinquent and now being cancelled. I have contacted them several times on multiple different occasions only to be told someone would call me back or they'll see what their boss says and then they'll call back. I haven't received a single call back from them and I am completely outraged! this place is a joke and they don't deserve your business. Please save yourselves the hassle and go anywhere else.

The service I received at Barnum and Tenny was top notch. As soon as I arrived, they gave me their full attention and really looked things over. When I took my car in for the service, they kept me updated on the process. They had excellent customer service and I am very impressed! I would highly recommend them.

Very nice place to handle with your car s problems. Guys here are soooo nice, and they won t charge you additional fees if you change some parts of your car there. Been there twice before. First time is to fix the hood. Another place asked for 1300 dollars to replace the whole hood. But it only takes me 65 dollars here to fix it, including labor. Strongly suggest you come here.
