I have a husband who is very handy and was an automotive engineer for years, when he sends me to the auto parts store sometimes I feel a little overwhelmed. But the staff here is always so helpful and understanding. Their knowledge is super helpful and they're just so kind. I'm always blown away by how willing they are to go above and beyond to help the people that come in the front door.

One star cuz I just went to get a battery installed (mine is dead) and they told me they can't do it because of the metal bar on my car that goes across the battery... called a couple other locations for them to tell me that it only takes one bolt to take off that bar and that it's no problem for them to do it.... I don't know why this location just straight up refused to help me. Won't be coming back.

Great service.Went in for a set of wiper blades for my wife s truck.Brian went above and beyond to help me.Looked up the parts quickly, recommended the best wiper blades to suit the truck and he even offered to come outside in the snowstorm and put them on for me which he did.I would strongly recommend this store, especially Brian who was extremely helpful.Thanks again Brian, you are the man!

I was having car trouble and I pulled over to see if they could run a diagnostic problem. One gentleman looked at my car and informed me it was an expensive fix. It was about 5 pm and they were getting ready to close. There were no other customers around. When we went inside to talk about the issue as there was some construction going on and the associate wanted to do some searching on his computer. As we discussed the issue, the other associates in the store made comments that were not helping the situation. I was 3 hours away from home and I needed to be on the road in that direction. The associate who looked at my car informed me it wasn't something they could fix but took it upon himself to call auto shops in the area to see who could address the issue. The other associates were stressing me out even further with their comments (about the plain obvious that I shouldn't drive on the interstate at all with that vehicle in its current condition) that I was on the brink of tears. I wasn't planning for car trouble and getting home was an absolute must for me as I didn't know anyone in the area that I could stay with. The one associate that did help me, I was thankful for, the others made my matters worse.

It's not very often that I post a review for a business, but I really have to hand it to Calvin. What was supposed to be a short car project, turned into a four hour experience. This store was the only one open, and we arrived 20 minutes before close. His cheerful and courteous attitude, paired with his ability to help with the problem was just what the night needed. Can't commend Calvin and his professionalism enough. Thank you!

I have always gotten great service here. But, when I went up there tonight I was disappointed to find out that they had closed 10 minutes early. The store lights were still on, but the guy at the counter disappeared out of sight as I walked up to try the (locked) door. Luckily the AutoZone up the road, which is also only open until 10:00, was still open (because it wasn't 10:00 yet) so they got my business.

My wife took the care in to have the battery and alternator checked. They said the battery needed replacing and the alternator was fine. Well here we are at 11:37 after the second jump stuck on highway 69 due to the car battery dying in the idle of the HIGHWAY.

This place has gone bad since the old manager left. The main issue I have is being sold incorrect parts. Then I call, get sent to another store who has the part in stock. Go there, get it, wrong part again. Sick of driving all over lansing I go back to return the part only to be told I can only get store credit or take it to the store I bought it from the other side of lansing. Sick of dealing with it, went up the road to Autozone and got the right part first try imagine that.

Despite the occasional wrong part, I saved on average 10g a year on diy and advance never had an issue with taking the wrong part back for replacement. Thanks AAP

Worker helped me with battery connectors. Suggested cap instead of new ones and even cleaned the corrosion and installed caps for me! Super thankful for his help!

Don't shop at Advance for anything you might want to return. Bought seat covers at another Advance and couldn't return them here even with the receipt.

Compared to all the others (autozone,o reillys, auto value, etc) they are way over priced. Go elsewhere if you're looking to save money
