Brought my Ram 2500 in for 66rfe Transmission issues. They rebuilt it for me for a reasonable price. A day after picking it up the torque converter failed. They replaced the torque converter and it is good as new again. They are very knowledgeable and honest. I would definitely recommend them if you are looking for a shop that does good work at a fair price. Thank you Pioneer.

Bought an old used van to convert into an off grid solar home. The transmission went out while I was driving it home. Luckily I was directed to Pioneer! The woman who helped me was so helpful and nice. Usually auto shops don t take kids like me seriously and they did. They looked at my engine and it unfortunately was the transmission. I found an old used transmission and dropped it off for them to put in. It took less than 24 hours for them to call me and tell me to pick my van up.I highly recommend this place. The workers are nice, helpful, and honest. They helped me get my dream on the road. Thank you guys!

Take your truck/car to Ring & Pinion Shop of Oakland. Your words, Tiffany*Paid 2k for service and used rear end. I noticed a leak immediately. Your mechanic tried to use silicone to cover the leak. It worked for a little while but then I noticed it again..So, the moral of the story is take your car or truck to Moto Medic. After two years, the recommended rear has failed. Thanks for your concern.

I had a Transmission cooler line I couldn't replace on my own. I started the job but couldn't finish it for fear of damaging the transmission. I took it and they were able to help me out for a reasonable price.Service: Transmission repairService: Transmission repair

Took my vehicle to them and already had it diagnosed. So I knew what was most likely wrong with it. They could have turned me away then but didn t. Instead had my vehicle for a whole day, didn t call me with their diagnosis and I had to call them to find out if they looked at it. It was transmission related but also electrical. Flat out told me they couldn t or just refused to fix it. I don t think they put 10 mins into it but still wanted their diagnosis fee which I could have taken it to auto zone for some thing for free. Don t waste your time here. Skip this place. Take your car elsewhere. I won t be coming back.

Came recommended to me both by the shop where I usually have work done (but that doesn't do transmission work) and by a friend from church. I can see why. Thorough, well done, reasonably priced work. And Tiffany the office manager is personable and does a great job. Hoping not to have to go back (LOL), but if I do need trans work done on another vehicle, it will be there.

Oh boy. Where do I start? We took our car in and they replaced the 1-2 solenoid. We were happy that it was fixed but the next day the check engine light came back on.We took it back to get the code read and they told me that the "ignition was bad" and that "there is a recall that I should've taken care of." They were very condescending and made me feel dumb for not having taken care of it already. We took it to the dealer and not only was there NOT a recall, which I knew, but that wasn't even the problem. The problem was that it had a bad module. That should've know that but they just didn't want to deal with it.Their parking lot was virtually non-existent and I got a peek inside their shop and it was small and dark.I would stay as far away from this place as possible.

My transmission went out at the gas station right across street from this shop and they saved me a tow hook up fee by getting my car 200 feet with no drive at all. Only reverse. And to top it off they got it just as sheriff was getting ready to tow for abandoned vehicle.. was only in gas station lot for 18 hours. So they went above and beyond and were pretty quick in repairing my car. Thank you Pioneer Transmission of Lake Orion

Took my truck there for a trans swap. They swapped it out in less time than what the job called for, took it for a test drive and it was throwing a code. They called and explained what was going on, and gave me a cpuple options, one of which they explained they weren't able to do and that it would have to go to the dealership for that repair. Appreciated the honesty and quick turnaround.

My torque converter bolts came loose and 1 fell out and ruined my starter and then lodged in the flywheel just after the 12,000 mile warranty. Transmission fluid was also leaking from the top of the transmission. At 8 months, and 16,000 miles, the transmission quit on me completely. Not knowing the warranty had expired, I had the vehicle towed to their shop and was told the torque converter bolts didn't need any loctite on them (which if they came loose and fell out, obviously they did), then I was told later that they had put loctite on them, but there was no evidence on the bolts, which were basically hardware bolts, and ground down - which I later found out that the cheap torque converter they put in required 2-3 threads ground off the bolts, and the OEM bolts I ordered from Chrysler dimpled the cheap torque converter they put in. I was also told that the rear planetary gear busted already from getting stuck in the snow 1 time. I was also told that they could replace the bad parts and not charge me labor for $1000, even though the parts only cost $500 based on my previous bill from them. I was also told that there was a major ding in the transmission pan and "what did I run over, and perhaps the ding in the pan was causing the transmission fluid filter to not enable fluid to flow to the transmission as needed." I hadn't run over anything! Since they screwed up the job in the first place, I had no desire to get cheated again, so had a QUALIFIED MECHANIC rebuild the transmission, and he stated that the bands were almost completely burnt up again at 18,000 miles, so he completely rebuilt the transmission again, putting in qualified parts. He also stated that the ding was relatively small, and not causing any problems. Before returning the vehicle to me, he flushed the transcooler and found it full of junk and replaced it as well. Then he tested the transmission for proper operating temperatures of the fluid, and all was well! My question is, how many times would Pioneer Transmission rebuild the transmission before they would have flushed the system and checked operating temperatures to make sure the entire system was operating properly? If they call themselves a transmission repair shop, shouldn't this have been done in the first place to make sure the $1800 I spent lasted longer than 8 months? What good would the 2nd attempt have been if they didn't inspect any other parts or flush the system or check operating temperatures? How much would this have cost me in the long run to keep my vehicle running? I'm sure they would gladly rebuild your system 2-3 times per year before they could figure out something outside the transmission itself is causing the transmission to burn up! If you need your transmission rebuilt, please take your vehicle to a reputable business and make sure they know enough to check the entire system, not just rebuild the transmission and put it back in and assume it's all ok and rip you off for thousands of dollars! This place would just put in cheap parts and rip you off as many times as they can!

Fixed my 2010 Audi A4. Transmission died, they found a used one with 41,000 miles. This was about 6mo ago and it's proven to be an affordable success. Thanks Pioneer!
