These guys are the best ..I was dealing with an emergency (blown out tire) and they helped me on the spot.They were kind enough to quickly replace it with my spare tire.Even though they were almost closed for the day but understanding the situation they helped me shows what core value Midas and its employees holds. They deserve all the business and I wish them best of luck.Thanks again

Truly a 10/10 experience at Midas specifically with James. My check engine light came on and long story short James is amazing. He not only made sure my car was in the safest possible condition for me to drive, he went above and beyond for me making sure every aspect of the repair was completely in my control. I couldn t say enough nice things about this place or him. I will for sure be coming back if any other issues occur :)

Took my car in for exhaust repairs. They got me right in and we're able to fix it in just a couple hours. Andrew the mechanic was up front and honest with the repairs and recommendations. Great experience!

Went in for an oil change and I m so glad I did because I was getting prepared for a road trip and my brakes were on their last leg. Not only did Drew thoroughly check my car over and diagnose it, he was also so honest about what was needed and what could wait. Now I m driving to Florida feeling safer in my vehicle because of his actions and I couldn t be happier with my service. Thank you!!

Vehicle was loud inside while driving and was thinking I had an exhaust leak, they said I had a warped manifold and cost was $770. Paid and drove away and still same bad sound, took it back a couple days later and asked them to take it for a drive as repair that was done and paid for didn t resolve the issue. They drove it and came back and said it is the differential bearings and they could fix it for $2,000 to $3,500 more and not even giving any type of credit for the wasted $770 I spent for nothing. Decided to go to reputable local place who did a full vehicle inspection at $0 cost and said my passenger front wheel bearing needed replacing. Car was done within a few hours and is quiet and runs great at a cost of $500 AND a full vehicle inspection at no charge that was emailed to me showing a breakdown of the full inspection. Recommend getting a 2nd opinion before you pay to have something(s) repaired that aren t broken.

I don t know why anyone would waste their time and money at the dealership when you can come to James and the technicians at this location in Lake Orion. Everyone s super nice people, and honest about the pricing and care they provided my vehicle. I ll definitely be returning when needed. One stop for everything

Went in for brake fluid flush. They were completely honest and told me fluid was good even tho I thought for sure it would be dirty.They also tightened a sway bar link bolt, that has been rattling, for free. Not a single charge today for any of the work they did.Super nice people even on the phone. Prices are good and is a great place to get fluids changed.

I m skeptical of all auto shops as I ve been ripped off so many times. But James and Andrew have helped me get the proper maintenance for both my vehicles. They take pictures of what they spot, providing transparency, which is not common at other places. They have blessed me. God bless.

I took my car in a few weeks ago here with some major issues. Midas was extremely helpful, and honest about my car and what could go wrong in the future. If you've got issues with your car, skip bringing it back to the dealer and bring it here. Super helpful and kind service.

Very rude there was two men sitting at the front desk, and as I was walking towards the door, one jumped up and ran to lock the door and just stared at me, I was literally maybe 3 feet from grabbing the handle. I will never ever go back there again. I went to Belle tire where I was greeted by real men, who were beyond polite, and they didn t even charge me to fix my tire.

This place is terrible, my husband took my car in for a squeak, they said it was one problem and to bring it in, paid so much money for them to fix the wrong part of my car and it still be broken and then to ask if we knew my car was squeaking. No offer for a refund or to fix their mistake. Now we re out $950 and we still have a broken vehicle.

Told me my turbo went out and my engine was unfixable. That i needed a new engine and I might as well get a new car..Took my car to a CERTIFIED mechanic and the turbo is absolutely fine and my repair is only 1300 for the timing chain in the engine.. never going back to midas again.

I occasionally read reviews of places in the areas I work, and this Midas stood out, having some of the best reviews and people with nothing but great things to say. I decided to give them a try when it was time to change my oil.Well, I ve got nothing but good things to report! James (the Store Manager) was as friendly as can be, and very helpful! He said he wants to create a friendly atmosphere, and he s succeeded. I felt like I was taking my vehicle to be looked at by friends. And it wasn t just James that was nice; all the mechanics were friendly.Everything was completed on time and with care. They even got done a little earlier than expected! Will definitely return!

My car did not crank on last Wednesday evening so I had it towed to Midas in Lake Orion the next morning. I called ahead to alert them of my arrival and inquired about how soon they would be able to take a look. I spoke to James and he was very kind and honest by letting me know it may not be until later in the day that they would be able to get to my car. I left and we spoke later. James informed me that they were completing a diagnostics on the battery and alternator to determine the issue. It turned out to be the alternator. I mentioned a slight oil leak and asked if they would add oil. When I got the final outcome and pricing, I was pleased. I was just disappointed that they were closed on the weekend and I wouldn't be able to get my car until Monday. Thankfully, everything worked out and I was able to get my car and they even top the oil for me and made an adjustment of a problem near the rotor. I appreciate their thoroughness, communication and rates. James was great! Very good service!

Great service. Performed a brake inspection and gave me the results. Then I asked how much and they had applied an online discount got a free inspection. I paid nothing for the inspection and I didn t know about the online coupon, they applied it themselves. Very honest and trustworthy place, Thanks!

Store manager was super friendly and clear on the explanation before and after the exhaust pipe replacement service. Job was done nice and quick. Will definitely come back.

Wow! This place was amazing!! They have great prices! I normally pay $100 for the service I got they only charges me $60. They were quick to get me scheduled (same day) and they took my car back right away when I arrived and finished very quickly! They gentleman at the front desk was very nice and HONEST! I asked about services and he told me which ones are best to go to the dealership for.***If you had a bad experience here in the past they are under new ownership now!!! I highly recommend you if them a try!!!Service: Oil change

I am giving the 5 stars because it s been 20 years since I have felt taken care of by an auto mechanic. They did try to sell me on what I didn t need and then gave me the best deal ever on my diagnostic. Called 40 min before closing, Corey and James were able to squeeze me in before they closed for a tire repair. This came after 2 other local places on M-24 (Lapeer Rd.) turned me away or told me no. Will always bring my vehicles here from now. Thanks for the great service!!!

James, the owner of the shop, is the kindest most professional person I ve ever worked with! I don t know a lot about cars and it can be super intimidating to walk into an auto shop and not know what I need. James gave me a breakdown of everything I d need, what it would cost, and how long it would take before doing any work to make sure I was comfortable with the cost! I know I wasn t getting scammed into getting more or paying more than I needed to. When I picked up my car it was clean and runs perfect! I couldn t be happier with the service on my car and also the customer service I received! I recommend Lake Orion Midas to everyone I know because I know they will never be disappointed!Services: Brakes, Oil change

Extremely helpful and honest. Told me I didn't need things that I thought may have needed. Saved me about 2-3k. I'll be back. UPDATE: I've now been coming here for a few years, and they are now my favorite in Lake Orion. Always honest and helpful. Friendly. Helps that they are a 5 minute walk from my home.

James (the manager) is such a nice guy that as a woman with car things you don t find often. Midas had the cheapest oil change by about $50 for my full synthetic Ford F-150 and they were able to put me in without an appointment and got me out within an hour. I heard him on the phone advocating for someone who came from another shop who had faulty work done and he had the service done and parts on their way within 20 minutes. Even listened to my life story while I sat and waited in the room and had hot coffee ready for me! I will be taking all my vehicles here for oil changes from now on!Service: Oil change
