We had a really great experience at Wild Cherry! The grounds are beautiful and very well kept, the owners and staff are very nice, and the location was perfect for us. It was also very, very quiet! We enjoyed being just a few miles from Sutton s Bay, even closer to 9 Bean Rows for pizza and Pastries, and a pretty short drive to suttons bay. Also very dog friendly!I think the only two negatives that people may have are the lack of showers/bathrooms and no laundry facilities. Not a big deal for us, but something that others may need to take into consideration. We will definitely stay here again!

This was such a wonderful park and the location was beautiful. Highly recommend a stay here. Good service, yet no one bothers you. They pick up trash which is seemingly rare these days. Traverse City is close by if your into that, but Suttons Bay and Leelanau and Leland are closer and those were the highlights for us wanting to visit coastal towns. Beautiful wineries and farms next door but away from view. 5 stars easy!

Read the reviews people. It's not worth the price. The owners have a lot of excuses for not having internet or showers. If you don't buy their wood, they charge for a fire pit cleaning. There's nothing resort about this place.

We stayed on site 65, FHU, back in end site, gravel, backed up to woods and the door side of camper looked into the woods. This made for shade in the afternoon. Loved the site as felt it was private no neighbors to look at. Nice quiet campground, trash pickup daily. No laundry, bummer, not a deal breaker. Close to everything you might want to do. Had our own Starlink so no problems for us in that respect. Lady that checked us in was great and gave us good info regarding area. Would stay here again, as this campground and area are very nice.

This is a campground with an upper and lower area. We were in the lower level. We did have an internet tower right next to our rig, but we still had zero service. No internet and could not even send or receive texts or phone calls. Only 2 TV channels that were pretty much unwatchable. I also had an issue with how many ants were everywhere! The site was gravel with a nice concrete patio and picnic table. Due to the lack of services, we felt the cost was way too high. We would not come back due to the lack of cell and TV service.

Close to Sutton's Bay, Wild Cherry Resort offers a quiet reprieve in a picturesque setting. Each spacious RV site offers full hookup, 50 amp, a picnic table, and a fire pit. Most sites are gravel with a side patio, but some sites are grass only. Pull-in sites surround the scenic pond with a fountain; the remainder of the sites are back-in sites. The park offers wifi connection, fire wood, ice, and golf balls to be used at the on-site driving range. Being pet-friendly, doggy bag/disposal stations are available as well as morning roadside trash collection service. There are upper and lower RV camping areas with paved roads. For walkers and bikers, the lower loop is 1/2 mile around; the hill from the lower loop to the upper loop including the loop around the office is just under 1/2 mile. If you want a bit more exercise, walk the office down to the park entrance and back (nice hills there.) The onsite "Cherry Bark Lodge" is a seasonal full log building that may be used for campers or for special events (special events may be booked via a phone call or online - see website.)For a more rustic camping experience, the park has 10 tent sites, two cabins, and one yurt. An outdoor heated shower, two porta johns, and water are available for these rustic sites. And finally, thank you to Brian and all the work campers in the park for making our stay an enjoyable one.

We spent 5 nights in an Rv space down by the lake. It s so quiet here and the spaces are quite large so you are not on top of your neighbor. Only drawback was the WiFi pretty bad unless you have Starlink or go to their clubhouse and log into their Starlink. Lots to do in the area, shopping, wineries galore, and of course the big beautiful Lake Michigan. Would highly recommend staying here!

Very nice RV park in a great part of Michigan. Sites are level and most have full hookups and cement patios . Not much to do in the park. They have a lodge but we didn t see any planned activities. I was surprised they do not have a public bathroom but with full hookups it s not really needed. Everyone we met was very friendly. Not many families with small kids but this seems to be tailored more for older couples that just want a base camp for exploring the region. We would go back here if we re in the area again.

Beautiful grounds and amazing location. No wifi and barely any cell signal - personally I consider those a PLUS not a con. We camp to disconnect! You really cannot beat the location or price when you consider any Airbnb/VRBO in the area starts at a minimum of $250 a night in OFF season, and there isn't a hotel in this neck of the woods. We enjoyed the view over the pond and walking around and to see the perfect fall colors. We took the very short drives to Leland (aka Fish Town), Suttons Bay, and the wineries/distilleries. This campground even comes to every site, each day, to pick up your trash bags, and delivers a daily paper. The trash pick up is a great service! Never had that at any other campground. I read reviews from people complaining about the lack of bathrooms (for those staying in RVs), amenities for kids, and the cell/wifi and I wonder if they bothered to do 5 seconds of research before staying? Their website is pretty clear and easy to understand. And if you're familiar at all with Leelanau Peninsula - the lack of cell signal is not exclusive to this campground. We would gladly stay again.

Sites are level gravel pads for 38 ' RV's and a little longer. It was a head in site on the lake which afforded my big front window an expansive view. Concrete patio and a PVC picnic table provided. Full hookups, but the lake side connections are a little uphill from the pad level. Bring sloped sewer accordions. No big deal. Newspapers delivered and trash picked up from your site daily. Not too far from town, civilization, and importantly the Michigan attractions for this upper peninsula. Very clean and well kept. Antenna TV, 2 water connections, 50 amp. $65 per night on the lake which I think was worth it. We had a south facing head in site which gave us a little shade in the morning. None after noon. I'd suggest a west facing site for an RV. We liked it and would come back sometime in the future.

My husband and I tented during cherry fest a couple years ago and we absolutely loved it. It was quiet and the site we had was in the woods and private. We did hiking, wine tasting and it was easy to get to downtown if you wanted to do that for a day. We enjoyed our stay and plan on staying there again.

Our stay at Wild Cherry Resort was a fantastic experience and it was one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed at. The sites have full hook ups and are very spacious. We stayed near their small pond and were surrounded by gorgeous scenery. The resort is situated between multiple wineries and also near many small towns. We visited Suttons Bay, Leland, Lake Leelanau, and North Port during our trip! The only downside is that there is weak cellular reception and WiFi service.

This campground is pristine! We have stayed here two other times and are getting ready to spend 2 weeks there and can t wait. Owners are nice and helpful. Sites are beautiful and spacious. True, the wifi isn t the best. But the peaceful quiet setting, the closeness to just about everything and a break from touristy Area makes it the best! Wineries so close by the Dunes,Fishtown, and an awesome bakery right down the road! See you soon!

Grounds are beautiful. Site are spacious with grass and cement patio. Full hook upHowever for $80 a night it is unacceptable to have "spotty" wifi which actually means hardly any and no cable. Antenna could only pick up 4 channels of worthless viewingWould not stay here again

Overall the area is nice. Very large lots and easy to pull in and out. I am knocking a couple stars off because whomever designed the plumbing system didn t know what they were doing. We have 32 from our sewer connection. It s up hill the entire way and impossible to get a flow. Absolutely horrible design. We can t back up any farther because there is a hill directly behind us. We have a 40 5th wheel. Won t be staying here again.

Just left from a long weekend here at Wild Cherry. Simple, clean, beautiful park with the friendliest owners and staff that we have encountered in a long time, maybe ever. It was quaint and quiet and all of the people we spoke to throughout the park were very friendly as well. This will for sure be our spot whenever we are in the area.

We really like the tranquility of this park. A very quiet park settled in a small valley. No restroom facilities which the owner specifies on the website. If you're looking for a true camping experience this place probably isn't for you. I'm not sure why people say there is nothing to do. Suttons Bay is 5 minutes away, Leland, Northport, and Glen Arbor are all 15-20 minutes. Good Harbor beach is about 15, and Lake Leelanau is just down the road. Plus... the umpteen wineries in the area. We have teens and they all really liked the quietness of this park instead of wall-to-wall packed state parks. I will say there is zero WiFi here, like no connection whatsoever, hope the owners can address this. We hope to be back in 2022 :)

The setting is lovely, the office staff and work campers couldn t be better! The location is ideal. There is a driving range above the park and nice hiking trails throughout the wooded areas. We travel full time and specially look for class A parks. This park, however beautiful, lacks seriously in several areas considering a charge of over $500 per week as of June 2021 for lakeside spots. Most sites have had gravel at some point but not recently. At least 50% are grass and not level. There s good separation between sites but no privacy plantings. If there is a lone shrub it s too close to the rigs making tank maintenance challenging. The lake was not maintained. Algae was an obvious problem and the two fountains were not operable. WIFI was very poor. There is a clubhouse but no water. Meaning no kitchen, public bathrooms or laundry. The handicapped entrance was up a grass embankment and the entrance to the office was loose gravel. The only public restroom was on a forest trail and it was a porta potty. You have to be self contained. This park is a campground not a resort.

Decent location, nice views. Campsites are semi close to each other. We were lucky only 1-2 other people were camping this weekend. No problems accessing firewood or ice. People were friendly. Didn t run into anyone at night. Bathrooms and shower are supposed to be for campers however many others used it. On Thursday the portapotty was great but by Saturday we didn t want to be using it. The shower was very basic. It was a small tent shower with no warm water. We had a great time though.

This place is neat as a pin! However, unless you want to drink wine day and night, this is not the place for you. They say WiFi but THERE IS NONE! NO showers. NO bathrooms! NOT ONE amenity! You must be 100% self contained ! They have power, water and sewer. If you have kids DO NOT STAY HERE !

We LOVED it at Wild Cherry Resort. It is in a beautiful location in Lake Leelanau. SO close to Sutton s Bay and Leland. Jim and the whole staff were absolutely amazing! Me and my friend Pam we re inexperienced and challenged at set up and getting everything in her 1964 Bambi Airstream running and they were all so helpful anytime we had questions or needed help. The resort is quiet and extremely relaxing. We highly recommend a stay here. It won t disappoint !!! We plan to go back next year for sure! Loved it!!

My wife and I love this resort for its peacefulness and tranquility. We like this resort for what it is, it caters to adults. Wineries, lakes, beaches, trails and good restaurants are close by. Great location! If you need to stay connected don't forget to have a weboost cell signal booster or similar, there is not much of a Wifi.

We have stayed at Wild Cherry a number of times. True there is no swimming pool or putt putt golf, and neither are advertised. Wild Cherry is designed primarily for RV camping and an "older" crowd that tends to stay a few days. The facility is in excellent condition and the sites are spacious and clean If quiet makes you nervous or you hate relaxing you should go elsewhere. We have yet to meet an unfriendly staff member or guest.

We stayed here this weekend and had a great experience. The grounds were very well kept and all the staff were so nice and helpful. There looked to be a lot of full season campers and not many just coming for the weekend. The sites were spacious and private. The water and sewer hookups were awesome. It was a bummer it was so dry we couldn't have a camp fire. This campground did seem geared for the more mature, didn't see any young families with kids (ok with us) but it didn't seem like there was much action in the evenings but maybe it was just because you couldn't have a fire. A very quiet relaxing weekend!

65.00 for dirt!. The community has let me down again. No way this park deserves the high rating it has. Instead of patio and grass, we got a green outdoor carpet, no grass, dirt and mud. We were given a spot that is part of an expansion that is not completed. There is nothing at this park, except a driving range and rec hall. Wi-Fi doesn't work. The sites around the pond are nice, but not 65.00 nice. The resort in the name is a joke. Would definitely not stay here again.response: 1) We made our reservation months in advance, all parks are full, offering to refund and go somewhere else was not an option. 2) Some state parks are on dirt, but they don't charge 65.00
