Nice little motel.Nothing too fancy.Staff was extremely polite and helpful.I only stayed 1 night but they had 4 or 5 grills you could or maybe rent.Regular grills, I saw a Blackstone, and a large smoker.I saw a couple permanent grills also.Picnic tables, fire pit with chairs.Looked like a run up to one heck of a party

Room was nice, but the microwave stopped working halfway through our stay, and the stove burners were very crooked, and small. Refrigerator was hard to regulate, it froze things in the fridge part, and melted things in the freezer part. Water was very hot, and never ran out! Nice beds, couch, and tv etc. Walls are very thin, and we had very noisy neighbors who fought a lot. That noise made it hard for my family to relax. Other than the neighbor noise, nice spot for a temporary stay.

The room wasn t bad but didn t have blackout curtains and didn t get dark until probably 10pm. What made the experience horrible for me is that they did not check my id (left the key for me in a lock box) and the rooms just have normal deadbolts, no top/sliding lock or anything. Normal key for the deadbolt and not card a entry. My four year old was able to unlock and walk right out of the room on his own. There was also a domestic dispute going on right next door to us at 3am and the lady called for help , so I called the police. I was staying there by myself with my son on vacation and felt completely unsafe even after the police arrived because of the lock situation. Definitely staying at the major hotel corporations from now on that take better safety precautions. Pretty sure I have a bit of PTSD from my stay because that incident in the middle of the night was so traumatic! I also spoke with the owner the next day regarding the incident. He admitted he heard something but didn t know what happened. If you own a hotel should probably check into any issues happening. Not impressed at all.

The room was comfortable and pretty clean. It took about 5 minutes for the shower to heat up but that's ok. The location is great and very close to Cobblestone farm and downtown TC. The only reason for the lower score is because at 10:18 (checkout is at 11) the housekeeping sat in the chair outside our room and started to smoke! Assumably waiting for us to leave. They waited there and smoked the entire time we were loading the car. Talk about getting kicked out. Also, the walls are quite thin and you can hear the room next door. Fortunately the neighbors weren't that loud, but we could hear their conversations.

Nice quaint little roadside place. It was clean inside and out. Owners take pride in their business, and it shows. Rustic log furniture appears a recent upgrade. Our room had a loose towel bar and the mattresses were a little soft and saggy. Kingsley Motel is close enough to Traverse City to drive for your holiday adventures without paying Traverse City prices.

We stayed at the Kingsley Motel for one night for a funeral.The online booking process was easy and straight forward and we had no problems.The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was neat and cleanThere was well lit parking.The only downside we experienced was in the morning. Since they don t offer a breakfast you will need to fend for yourself. This is not a bad thing in itself, but there are no real options nearby.Overall our stay was pleasant and I would recommend it.

Amazing prices for long term stays. I recently moved to northern Michigan and haven't found a house yet and Kingsley motel (don't let the motel part dissuade you) is doing it for me! Clean and friendly and so much room. It's like a mini apartment. Definitely a great place to stay if you want to head to traverse city but not pay big city prices.

This is a customer service oriented motel as they do their best to make you feel welcome and appreciated. The rooms are clean and well prepped. However, for the price we paid for one night ($100.00), we hoped for better amenities. From shampoo in a sample packet, (be sure you bring your own) to room darkening curtains (none). The walls are thin ... you'll hear your neighbors; and the hot water takes time to reach you (5 minutes) and was not hot enough for my wife to stay warm in it. Also, it is off the beaten path....inconveniently out of town. This is not a five star stay;

The walls are thin, and the pull out bed was quite uncomfortable. I also found some trash under the couch, and the chair. The room service was polite though, and they were flexible with me in my situation. I would stay again

Stayed there for two weeks, very clean, comfy and quiet place to stay. The owner was very friendly and made the stay very easy. Would definetly stay there again in the future. Thank you!

tried booking a room and the man i spoke with was incredibly rude and unhelpful. i asked to book a room, he said he doesn't book rooms without meeting people. I said okay can we meet? He said no, we don't have anything available. LOL terrible customer service

We will never stay at this location and advise any and everyone to avoid staying here in the future. We were in a small accident out of town on our way to Traverse City and one of the workers last evening around 6pm called us to see when we would be arriving and I told him of our situation. I did not ask for a refund I simply asked if we could have some sort of credit for a future stay and his exact words were. You re problems aren t my problems buddy, I m not helping you I then told him that s a horrible response, and that I would spread the word of his awful customer service in which he again responded rudely with Do what you gotta do buddy and hung up. I will continue weekly to review this location with 0/5 stars and also will put the word out on google, yelp, and by word of mouth after this experience. Absolutely awful customer service.

I had called to make an emergency reservation and it was the only hotel I could find, but we end up being able to stay with a friend so I called and had to cancel like 20 mins after I booked. The guy was so rude that answered the phone and was mad at me for doing that and told me to never call them again!!! That's crazy!! Things happen, and he had no idea what my situation was. I have never ever had a hotel say that to me!!

This was an excellent motel. We highly recommend it.The hospitality from the manager was outstanding!Very clean.If & when we travel to Traverse City, Kingsley Motel will be our top choice.

Very quiet, you get amazing rest. Rooms are very clean. Location is excellent, 15 minutes to downtown Traverse City.

The reviews lead me on. The place was not so great. There was a spider inside our towel. Also found the previous guests dried contact on the AC unit.

Nice front desk guy. Rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. They even left a little bag of popcorn and candy! Would recommend.

Really enjoyed the one night stay. I realize this is a privately owned locatio, but feel it was excellent. Have been to large chains where not as clean.

The staff is friendly, and the rooms are very clean. Also very comfy beds, and the wood work for the bed, dresser, and table are beautiful.

I stayed here a couple years ago, paying for a.month, OK at first, then couple fighting day and night did.not feel safe told management left after two weeks now I have a stalker

Great place for crashing at a place for the hunting season. Used for 10+ years and it's a great place for the nearby hunting properties.
