I'm so happy I found Dave and his crew! They were able to help get this lemon I bought back on the road with an engine swap, new radiator, and a slew of small appointments for leaks and troubleshooting. They have always been accommodating and very helpful! I'm not just a name in the computer to them, as I feel like they're getting to know me as well as I'm getting to know them!

They are wonderful to work with. They are currently taking care of my bus and minivan. It's hard to find a mechanic you can trust, but these guys are decent, hard working, and get the job done right. 2nd generation owned. Can't speak highly enough about their integrity and dedication to service.

Just had new brakes all around on my Volvo, figured it s time to update my review.I loved old ownership, they treated me like family. The new Spring Valley is much like the old one, with just enough updated to look a little cleaner and a little smoother.I already refer everyone I know here so I m unsure what I ll do to escalate, but I love this shop and recommend it to anyone.

These guys are great. Took my car in to have the turbos replaced. Which I sourced myself. Most shops around town wouldn't install customer parts. Dave at spring valley said no problem. They had my car 2 days and got the turbos installed and did a front end alignment for me. The best part is that instead of just installing the parts and being done with it. Dave took the time to put some miles on my car, drive it around and make sure everything was functioning properly and no noises or leaks. Definitely will be a repeat customer!!!

Love these guys. No frills so if you need a big shiny office maybe you need some place else. But if you want quality car care with no games or shady feelings, this is the place. I always trust these guys have my best interest in mind and they are honest about what's going on with your car.

Dave and his team were professional, timely and affordable. He clearly explained the issues, told me what repairs were most important and the actual cost was very close to the original estimate. If you have a VW or another European car and you want quality work that s affordable, go here. No BS. I will keep my business here for sure.

The only place I ve trusted with my cars in Kalamazoo; I can drive away knowing the problem is taken care of and paid more than a fair price for the work done. They are patient, kind, and care about the customer. I would recommend this shop to ANYONE who needed somewhere to go. 10/10!

Had them go over my 1972 super Bug cabriolet rare did a great job to put it back to original Kurt is a pro on old VW

Very prompt service, replaced my ball joint & fixed a series of exhaust leaks. Maintained good contact on project scope as the more exhaust leaks became noticeable. All work was done in 2 days, only days after calling to make an appointment. Kurt answered several of my other questions about future repairs & items to keep an eye on.Under new ownership (kind of) Dave has taken over from his father, and continues to do a great job. Still my favorite shop in town.

If you're looking for an honest and reliable shop - these are the guys you want to see. Just had my fuel pump replaced on my 2008 Passat. I was recommended there by a friend.They were able to get me in same day to fix my brake caliber and shock absorbers on my 4-wheel drive Ford Fusion. This is the first place that I have felt completely respected by the mechanics and that their prices were fair and explained well.I will go back for all my mechanic needs for however long I am in Kalamazoo area! **DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE ***I firmly believe they sabotaged my car in order to purchase for parts, as one of the mechanics was rebuilding a car the same model & year. The whole situation was completely messed up.This is the place to go for Audi repairs. They have fair prices, are knowledgeable, and are friendly. I've had 2 repairs done so far and am happy with the work. My car was not full of greasy hand prints when I picked it up and I have not had to take it back for rework. I'll definitely return for all my maintenance needs.

Heard about Spring Valley from a friend. I ve been bringing my Audi and Volkswagen cars here regularly for a couple of years now. Everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable. I can usually drop a car off in the morning and have it back in the afternoon completed for a very reasonable price. These are the only people I trust to touch my cars now. Thanks for all you guys do!

This place. I will never take my car to anywhere else! Highly recommend! So down to earth, honest, smiling, talented, and down right honest! They even fixed things on my car that needed to be fixed badly, but didn't ask to be fixed. They are so thoughtful and they are like family! I feel very welcomed and all the guys are great. I love you, Kurt! My whole family goes to Spring Valley Motors and they always will. So will I. You'd be a fool not to see them. And man, the passion they have for cars and fixing them, it's beautiful. I love all of you boys! Again, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Although they weren t able to fix my BMW, they kept me informed about the issues and I was in control of how much I wanted to put into it. My BMW had way to many issues.

There are not enough great things I could say about Spring Valley Motors!They're always extremely knowledgeable, personable, and understanding. Finding a place to take our Volkswagen Group Vehicles in the past was always such a task due to their lack of knowledge on the vehicles themselves or the price point they charged due to the kind of car. At Spring Valley it's the exact opposite. We trust them whole heartedly with our vehicles, and their pricing is very appropriate. When we call them, they chat with us like old friends, remember what kind of vehicles we have and make the experience of dropping your car off the mechanics actually kind of fun.We no longer take our cars anywhere else, and we recommend them to anyone and everyone we can!Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, A/C installation & repair

Kirk & Dave are the best mechanics I've had the pleasure of interacting with! They are open, honest & fair. I also truly appreciate that they don't talk down to me. Whenever I need non-warranty work done on my car I hit the guys at Spring Valley up!

Amazing shop, their goal is to keep your car on the road for a little as possible. They will prioritize repairs and are very very affordable. Excellent service, specializing in Volkswagen but will work on all cars. I brought my car here complaining of a symptom and they brought new life into my car. I wont bring my car any where else, very friendly.

Years ago I was moving across the country. My car at the time died and a friend suggested I talk with them about purchasing a used car to get me to where I needed to go. I explained to them where I was moving, and that I needed a car that would get me and my valuables across the country. They have a reputation of being experts of Volkswagen, and I trusted the owner Kurt when he assured me that the Jetta he was selling me would do the job.The car drove wonderfully until the day I left. When I stopped for gas the first time in the middle of Wisconsin, the car wouldn't start. $60 later to have the local tow truck guy hit the starter with a hammer, I was on the road. When I luckily made it to my first stop in my drive across the continent, I called the owner of Spring Valley to see if he could help with what might have happened. I'll never forget exactly what he said when I realized I might not make it to where I was moving to.."Oh, that's a 91! That model... They put the starter too close to the firewall and it will overheat, so it shouldn't be driven long distances and shut off. "So the local "VW expert" made a quick $1000 off of me by selling me a car he fully knew wouldn't work well enough to drive to Chicago, let alone cross-country.They're very personable, friendly people. But I'll never ever trust anything they say. Neither should you.

Kirk and his crew at Spring Valley Motors are great. They took adequate time to do a thorough investigation of our 2015 Golf s weird electrical problem and fixed it at a very reasonable cost. I ll be coming back to Spring Valley Motors for other electrical gremlins and/or whatever else may come our way.Service: Electrical repairService: Electrical repair

Worst place ever, total waste of time and money. After taking my BMW X5 there. Spent $1,000 and he even tried to charge me more for time spent. Two weeks figuring it out and still same problem not even fixed. Bro just stop mechanic work it s not for everyone.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

I started going to Spring Valley about 16 years ago and have never been disappointed. They are very upfront and honest about what needs to be done, and they take the time to explain why the repairs are required. They will suggest maintenance that could be done to save money down the road but I have never felt like I was being pressured, just a really relaxed atmosphere.

I went here because other reviews said these were trustworthy mechanics, but I doubt that. After taking my car there three times in a couple months for various issues, they told me the car wasn't gonna go long and I should sell it to them for parts. Fast forward about 6 months (where the car ran fine) I took it to a different mechanic to get my brakes checked out, again. Somebody had put steering fluid in my brake reservoir. That can destroy your car! Either the guys at Spring Valley are totally incompetent to do something like that, or they were actively insuring my business by harming my car. My new mechanic tells me my car is fine besides this problem, and will run for a good while longer. I wouldn't risk trusting Spring Valley again.

I called and asked about having my Audi inspected. I told the guy, Kurt, that money is tight right now, and was about to ask if they possibly do payment plans. Before I could, Kurt laughed very loudly and said, then don t bring it down . This was very rude and uncalled for. I will never go to this shop or refer this shop to anyone. Horrible marketing and customer service.
