This is the best place we ve ever taken our vehicles. They're knowledgeable, professional, friendly, willing to answer any and every question you might have. They gave us great recommendations and practical advice.They also did a great job of laying out ALL our options for us. It was so great being able to look over every single thing that they saw, have photos/videos of what they were finding, and seeing those things in order of importance through the link they gave us to view our truck s diagnostics.It s clear that they take great pride in what they do, and put great and quality care into their work. Thank you so much for all your help! We will certainly be back anytime we need anything done with our vehicles!!

Trustworthy mechanic shops are hard to find. Needing an alignment on my SUV that caused uneven wear in my tires, May Automotive did a full inspection and found my ball joints were the cause. Harry at the front desk was great. He put me in a loaner for a few hours and got right to work on my vehicle. At 135,000 miles I expecting things to be wearing out. Harry provided me a short list of items that needed attention next but didn t push for them to be done immediately. He even prioritized the list so I can work on them as I m able.SUV drives great. Very happy with the customer service and honesty from Harry and May Automotive. I ll be back.

I had an emergency situation with a problem that has been off and on for 8 months. Two other mechanics gave up on it. These guys figured it out and got it fixed in a day. Friendly and professional, I ll definitely be giving them my business from now on.

They got me in with a next day appointment. They diagnosed my evap issue and repaired it. Then they tracked why I had a misfire and fixed it as well. They had my truck for a few days. It runs great and I couldn't be happier.

Very unprofessional company. Took my car back three times. I had it checked totally over in the very beginning. Supposedly everything was fixed cost over $3,000. My husband and I bought this car for our grandson who had just graduated from high school. So we wanted everything fixed that needed fixing. Well after getting everything fixed we thought needed fixing, we ended up taking it back to them three times. We spoke with Harold on all three Occasions. Of whom we spoke and told we didn't have very much more money to spend on the work of the car when everything was supposed to have been fixed in the beginning. We told Harold we already spent $3,000.00 already. He (Harold) stated "WHOOP-DE-DO" At that point we were sure he hadn't a care in the world about his customers and we were done with this company and we were never going back there. We wished we'd seen all the bad reviews before having taken it to them.

Did not get any work done, but was given a referral. My car was fixed fast. When Most auto repairs take upto a month or more to get in, I got in the next business day. A good referral is as good as good service.

Don't go here if you're old. They charge $783 for a battery replacement. My mother died in 1952 I don't know who you are talking about?

Took my truck in to have them diagnose a clunk in the suspension that had been randomly occurring since I purchased the truck. The techs were able to figure it out and get it fixed in just a couple days after I had spent a year chasing the noise! Sometimes you gotta just leave it to the pros! Only place left in Kalamazoo to go for family/independent/locally owned repair shop! Top notch service and communication.

I key dropped my 97 explorer to May automotive to have an oxygen sensor that stripped the threads during removal repaired. I got a call at after 11am(they open at 8am) saying they couldn t work on my vehicle. The first excuse was it was to old of a vehicle to work on. Later he said they didn t have the man power. So I had to pick up me vehicle and drive it across town with a hole in the exhaust because they didn t want to even look at the vehicle. When I picked up my vehicle they had to rip open the envelope to get my key back so they hadn t even attempted to look at my vehicle. Yes it s old but it has been very well taken care of. It was very disappointing. I will not be can and I will not recommend May automotive to anyone. I took my truck to muffler man and they had me back on the road in 24 hours for $80!! I highly recommend muffler man in centre ave in portage!!!

I had been using Casey's electric for years and now that it's May automotive I will be continue to use them for years to come. I took a starter that I could not source a replacement for and they rebuilt it and a charged me a fair price, I installed it and it made it about 6 starts before it failed. Upon removal I discovered the Bendix gear decided it didn't want to part of the starter anymore and took it back to them, they warrantied everything. However, I made them charge me for the parts as I knew they didn't replace the Bendix gear as it was still good. They argued with for a couple of minuets before letting me pay for the parts, as being a small business owner myself, I know people always expect something for free. I didn't expect them to cover the cost for a part that failed that they didn't have anything to do with the original rebuild, they covered the labor and I was happy for that.Service: Electrical repair

Here from Macomb County visiting my girlfriend because she had exhaust / possible engine problems. Went in there Thursday afternoon and the place had a really nice interior with a couple friendly gentlemen up front. Out of every mechanics shop i ve ever been it has been by far the most well kept and nice.We dropped her car off and the next day my gf hears a few quotes after they took a look and they also helped find the breaks weren t very good either! By the end of the day we ended up getting a call back that it was fixed and it turned out to be a few hundred dollars cheaper than what was originally thought.Good quality business, worthy of the praise. And appreciate the good service

told me and promised me one price and then came to pick up my car and it was hundreds more. Broke down for the same thing 3 days later and all they say is no warranty on work it's a different issue. Place smells fishy!! Very rude to customersService: Auto maintenanceService: Auto maintenance

I have been here twice since becoming a student at WMU. From personal experience both times the mechanics were honest and transparent throughout the whole process. Avoid. Glad I sought out a second opinion. Was told I needed a new engine with a cost over 8k. I actually needed a new radiator and serpentine belt. Was charged for the diagnosis as well. Look elsewhere!

I took my car in to get my brakes fixed and May Automotive was honest about what was wrong with my vehicle and very fair about the price to fix it. The first place I took it to said I needed the entirety of my front and back brakes replaced (which I knew was not true) and refused to just fix the rear. May saved me a lot of money. I will bring my car to them whenever I need it repaired.

Don't take your car to the dealer. May does great work, certified service, honest, only does what needs to done and at a fair price.

Don t go to them !! my car was leaking coolant and over heating so I took it to them they diagnosed it let the car run 15 min In the cold from a cold start for a (test drive) took my money I didn t get to make it home because my car was doing the same THING and I looked under the hood and noticed that my water pump was not pumping coolant so I took it back only for them to tell me the same thing I observed myself you ll think they would ve checked my water pump and thermostat during the diagnosis come to find out they only checked my fans and wires and charged me 700 for that
