My Mother had her vehicle towed here because it stalled on I-94 by the 131 exit. It cranked yet it didn't start. Firestone charged her over $1,000 for an oil change, battery, alternator, valve cover gasket & a about a week later her car was dead! Things happen but she never had a problem with a dead battery!!!!!! We jumped My Mothers vehicle & took it back. She was told that it wouldn't be a problem because they had worked on it last & had replaced both the battery & alternator. The man also mentioned that they were behind so it would probably take a while. My Mom received a call within about a half hour. They tell that it has a bad cable wire.????????VEHICLE IS STILL NOT MOBILE!!!!!I personally wrenched & was management of a High Quality, Full Service Shop!BBB

So far so good.. with the exception that parts are double what you would pay in an auto parts store. The service, friendliness, and helpfulness are top notch. However, with that said, if you can do it yourself, it would be at least half as much just in parts alone.

Fuel pump was change. The protective metal plate for the gas tank was not properly secured. At least two bolts were broken in taking the plate and had tank off. One corner is dangling. Another Courtney is held with zip ties.

After my second bad experience I had to leave a review.First of all they'll tell you they can fit you right in and it'll take an hour and a half to 2 hours. This time I even called. This happened twice. Why can't they just tell you it will be a while, get real.I had a small hole that I would have to fill up my tire about once a week, they made it worse I didn't even make it home before I had to fill it up with the air again. I will never buy tires or go there again.

I will NEVER go to any Firestone ever again. I had a 1 o'clock appointment to have my tires replaced and did not leave until 5:10. They told me at 5 o'clock that they had just started on my car. I will say, they gave me a $65 discount, but that doesn't make up for my FOUR HOUR wait. I understand being short-staffed, but there's no excuse for my experience.

My experience with Chris, Tristan and Damian has above and beyond! Everyone at Firestone on Stadium Dr. in Kalamazoo has helped me out so much when my insurance company (Liberty Mutual) hasn't given a damn about me. I brought my car to Firestone after my accident and my back, right brake gave out and they assured me that my car wasn't totaled but certainly needed to be fixed. After one call with my claims agent, Kristina Hall, where I only told her what I knew to be wrong she was already ready to total a vehicle that was valued at close to $17,000 and needed repairs, initially for about $4,000. I was getting calls from their salvage company, daily, wanting to pick up my car.After I got my car back from another company for the 3rd time and it was supposedly "fixed", it started smoking when I started it and I was very close to Firestone, so I brought it back there. Chris said it was undrivable and because I wasn't pulled over on the road, it took a week and a half for Liberty Mutual to return my calls and eventually have it towed back to the original shop.Firestone was nice enough to allow me to keep it there. In the meantime, I had to pay for my rental for 6 weeks. Sorry to go on and on about how Liberty Mutual is but I do want people to be warned and to know how amazing Firestone is.I apologize for not remembering all of your names, but a huge shout out to Chris, Tristan and Damien for always being there for me.

Place is a joke. My sister went in for an oil change and the mechanic claimed she needed to replace her tires and a bunch of parts on her car. Mind you, she just got BRAND NEW TIRES 3 months ago at another shop. Also every part that needed "to be replaced" was just fine. Even took it to another mechanic to confirm. Avoid if you don't want to be scammed.

If zero was an option, I would give it. My 18 yr old daughter was stranded with 3 flat tires and had her car towed to this location. They tried to tell she needed new struts, tried to charge her over $1000 for new rims (had to ship them from TN?), and $900 for new tires, AND attempted to tack on the warranty for the tires without telling her about it.Needless to say, we had the car towed to RNR who were very transparent, the struts had no damage, and they got her new tires and rims for $900 total and had her fixed up in a matter of hours.As a parent you hope that a business wouldn't try to take advantage of your child when they are in a bind, but unfortunately it still exists.

I guess I should have read the reviews before booking my appointment. I dropped off the car, told them I would wait nearby (not a drop off), walked around for 2 hrs waiting for a call and came back to find out they hadn t even looked at it yet. I was told everyone had an appointment. Apparently the appointments don t mean a thing and there is no way they can estimate the wait time and 2 hours should be reasonable. Here is a suggested script for training purposes. Hello, yes I see you have a 3:00 appointment, and we appreciate you setting that up online. However we are short staffed, had some complicated repairs, messed up the schedule, etc. and have several cars ahead of you. It s going to be at least 2 hrs before we can get your car diagnosed. Would you still like to wait, bring it back in a couple of hours, or make a new appointment for tomorrow? I just want to make sure you are aware so you don t mistakenly think we can get this fixed today. We really appreciate your business and we re gonna also give you 20% off the service for the inconvenience. If I d been given this information I could have altered my plans and maybe had someone come to pick me up and leave it. Mistakes happen but don t just act like I m unreasonable for thinking 2 hrs after the appointment is reasonable to get the car looked at.

Waited 2.5 hours for my scheduled appointment. Did not receive the service requested, but paid for. Fraud! No apologies. No acknowledgement of the value of my time. Blamed the store manager scheduling. Never responded to on line scheduling request. Go somewhere else!

They fixed the car and gave me a warranty if the dashboard signs show up again, they will fix it for free, a day after they fixed the car, the same problem appears again. When i took it back again they said that they can t fix it, they said that they cover the part that they changed( they changed what they said before) , not the problem. So why would I pay for fixing the car and when they didn t fix right and they asked me to pay again to changed another part?, so the warranty for what?

They fixed my tire. In and out in an hour. Thanks. Tire didn't stay fixed very long. Took my car to another shop and the guy showed me all they did is cover the rust with bead sealer which didn't fix anything. The other shop spent some time removing the rust and has held air since.

I work in auto & I do not recommend coming here. They have terrible customer service & are incapable of doing a tire repairs effectively and efficiently.I had a flat tire so I bought it in for a 12pm appointment to be fixed. 2 hrs later they tell me it was a loose valve. I paid for the repair & got back to my car. It was at 18 psi. I went back in to ask how a "fixed" tire can be as 18psi they said they must have forgotten to fill air in the tire. They filled it to 35 psi and sent me on my way. Withing 10 mins. They tires psi went from 35 to 28. I brought the car back. THERE is clearly a problem. I can hear air leaking from the tire..... they work on it for about 1.5 hours to tell me that that there is nothing wrong with the tire. They filled it back to 35psi. I drove it around for 10 mins. It went from 35psi to 30psi.... I brought it back again.I asked for them to just give me a new tire if they can't figure out what is causing it to leak air. They (Damion) gave my attitude because they are closing in 25mins.They told me they believe that the tire on my vehicle has a manufacturer error but that makes no sense. These tires are the original tires that came on vehicle when I purchased new from the dealership.I will never go to another Firestone ever again and I will be sharing my experience with everyone I know.

Had a 2:00 appointment to get my rear brake pads and rotors replaced, left at 6:00 with no work done because they thought they had more time. I would ve thought 4 hours was enough time to change one axle worth of brake repairs especially for an appointment apparently not.

I stopped in today after having a flat tire. They didn't have the tire I needed in stock, but told me they would be able to order it and get me fixed up quickly. Chris, the sales and service specialist, and Tristan were both incredibly helpful and personable. Although I hope I don't have a flat tire again anytime soon, I would be glad to go back to this location after my interaction today.

This is the main ace I take my vehicles for repairs and maintenance. For the last 8 years, I have always had a good experience here. The staff is knowledgeable about the problems that arise and are very effective at communicating it to me as the consumer. I feel that I know what is a must repair or a can wait repair when needed so I don't spend money that I don't need to. And they have a fair price for their work. I don't feel like I am overpaying here. Would definitely recommend.

This is the only place in town I ll go. I never feel cheated by them, they re quick and easy to deal with, and I trust the work they do on my vehicle. I ve never been hassled to spend more if I m on a specific budget or scared into paying for something I don t need. I walked in for an appointment today and I accidentally scheduled at the location on Westnedge. When Chris told me, I was fully prepared to turn around and leave. I didn t figure a Saturday morning would be a great time to squeeze myself in to this location with no appointment, but he was chill and friendly as can be. They even got my car pulled in within ten minutes of my original appointment time. Definitely always gonna come here as long as I m in the area. They re thoughtful and kind in a way that is rare these days, every single time I show up here.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

Really bad waited wait to long got here 9:37am and my appointment was at 10am and 11:30 they got it in for oil change. Now I have to pay 50 dollar for being late to pickup my daughter &@^#^#&@^!

Had a leaking tire Kalamazoo tire shops swamped called fire stone hear on main they said they could do it got me in fixed the leak and Chan he s turn signal bulb all on a stop by no appointment now I know I m lucky and just wanted them to know thank you for taking me in on the fly and getting me safely on the road with the weather!

Terrible Terrible & Terrible. The employees are young and not very knowledgeable at all. Seems to be very EXPERIENCED . DIDNT HAVE A CLUE AS TO WHAT THEY WERE DOING TOLD ME I NEEDED NEW TIRES WHICH I DID NOT. AFTER TAKING MY VECHICLE TO THREE OTHER PLACES, AND ONE BEING ANOTHER FIRESTONE, I WAS TOLD OTHERWISE. I WOULD NEVER RETURN TO THE FIRESTONE ON WEST MAIN ST IN KALAMAZOO, NOR WOULD I EVER RECCOMEND ANYONE!!

Don't believe in others recommendations for a car repair & maintenance place to be good, as most are dishonest scams. Look for certified mechanics plaque and make sure their repairs have a warranty. I would not recommend getting anything of your vehicle fixed or repaired here, as they do shotty work. They don't like if you catch them trying to mess around on something else other than what you came there for. Don't trust giving them your address. Them being great and have good atmosphere is not true!

Have been coming here for at least a decade. The team is constantly professional and on top of things. They are honest about what work needs to done and how urgent it is. If you bring in a vehicle for a specific problem they will address it, but also let you know about what else they see. You have the right to refuse service if you don't feel it's a need. They typically run sales and specials as well to try and keep the price down. It is perhaps more costly than your mom and pop shop, but that cost also comes with convenience as they can do most work within the span of a day and often take on unscheduled appointments and work. Have never had an issue!

Little standing around but service was fine. Front desk seemed new but was nice just couldn't answer questions. They did me just fine and prices weren't bad comparably.
