The Costco Tire Center in Kalamazoo is consistently rude and not customer-centric. Most recently, I walked in for service at the store opening. I was told there is a strict no walk-in policy and to go online to schedule my service. My appointment is now three weeks away. I cannot urge you enough to NOT buy tires here. Go to Belle Tire, Discount Tire, or even Sam s Club. At Costco Tire Center in Kalamazoo, you ll be treated as a nuisance and inconvenience.

The man that work front desk is rude and will not help you at all. They do not have good costumer service at all. They refused to sell me 2 tires because I have an AWD car. Got told they would only sell me a set or 4 tires and nothing less. Lost a good costumer. Will not return to buy tires here there is other tire shops that will sell you whatever amount of tires the costumer request. I am Very disappointed costco.

I verified with the gas station attendant months ago that the inflation stations were supposed to be open when the tire center was open. Shortly after their opening this morning, the inflations stations were closed both before and after my shopping in the warehouse. I called when I got home to ask why this was, but they said they said they had opened them. If they re going to let a little rain hinder their service, don t trust them to do any heavy work with your tires.

I purchased tires on a black Friday deal, but never received a call that they were in stock. Fast forward to mid January, and I finally have an appointment scheduled for 6pm. I am informed after an hour of waiting that I have another 40 minutes of waiting. I was told my appointment would only be an hour. After having my tires for less than 48 hours the sidewall on one burst in 5 places while parked. I was charged to reinstate my warranty for something that was clearly a defect from the factory.

I showed up for my appointment their computer system went down. I had to give all my information to the person at the desk even though I had to enter it twice to order the tires I wanted ahead of time. After we got all issues resolved, my wife an I started shopp, expecting the tires would be installed in about an hour. Within 10 minutes after leaving the tire center I received a call from a technician stating that I had swollen lug nuts and would need to replace them.( The lug nuts on my F- 150 are 21 mm) I agreed to the price for the replacements and continued shopping. The next call 5 minutes later I missed so I went back to the service desk to see what the next issue was. I was taken back to my truck and told that my stud was stripped and they could not install my new tires until I installed new studs. After a few heated discussions with several people I told them to keep the tires and provide a full refund ( which they did). When I got home I checked all of the lug nuts on all four tires and was able to remove them with my 4way using the 21mm socket. I then took a look at the stud that was supposedly stripped and it was not, the threads were stretched, most likely from the impact wrench still in forward instead of reverse, this was the only lug nut removed from my truck. I do not normally leave bad reviews but this whole situation was wrong. Wether the service shop was to busy and looking for excuses to move to the next vehicle,. I don't know but I will never use them again and thought I should post it.

I shop at Costco regularly, but this is my first time buying tires. The tire desk is extremely busy, and almost impossible to reach on the phone, at least at the Kalamazoo location. They did not have the tires in stock that I wanted and because they were going on sale soon but not yet, they were not allowed to quote me a sale price for them. They did have my second choice available at sale price, so I went with them. You have to schedule an install date blind, because they cannot guarantee tire delivery by any set date, so we scheduled a week and a half out, and they will call if the tires come in sooner. I had a fixed end date, because I have an alignment scheduled at my dealership and have to have the four new tires installed by then per having an all wheel drive vehicle. UPDATE: The install went smoothly. They alerted me that several of my tire pressure sensors were bad and offered to replace them at about 2/3 the cost another place had quoted me. They also found that three of the four sizing clips that make the tires fit my after market rims were missing. They replaced these, and after driving away, I can say my ride is vastly improved. I had vibration, likely caused by the missing clips, which is gone now. Though they upsold me the sensors and clips, I did not feel they gouged me on price at all, and it's clear these were necessary. The sales person was knowledgeable and fairly patient, given time pressure of others waiting. She also let me know that due to the directional nature of my new Michelins, tire rotations have to be front to back only, no changing them from left side to right, etc. Couldn't be happier.

Super busy. Lots of folks needing tires. Make an appointment. My set of truck tires were ready from an order I put in one week earlier. They took an hour and a half to install all 4. Great job.

It s impossible to get service at this place. If you need something done after you purchase tires you re going to be waiting weeks.

Dropped my car off, then received a call saying they couldn't install the tires because they did not have the correct parts for my car. Said they would refund my card, a month later still no refund. I stopped by the tire center after shopping for groceries. It took them 45 minutes to refund my card, with no explanation why it took so long, horrible custom service.

Got a great deal on my tires, staff was friendly. I usually go to Discount tire but find myself shopping at Costco at least every other week. I ve been in for rotations, they recommend every 6,000 miles. Long wait times this past year in the winter. Not a problem though, just had to schedule an appointment a few weeks out. I have tires for both my vehicle and my wife s from Costco. Love that place!!

They completed my new tire install a couple minutes quicker than the estimated time. Ran through next steps and warranty with me and the guys that helped me were friendly. Highly recommend.

I bought a set of tires 6 weeks ago and I am still trying to get them installed. They will not accept appointments on weekends, so if you work a "normal" schedule you are screwed for scheduling weekend work. Furthermore their weekday hours are also the exact same times as "normally scheduled" jobs so weekday appointments are out of the question unless you want to burn a vacation day to have your tires installed. Weekends are first come, first serve. The first two times I tried, I arrived right at opening hour and both times the wait was past 6 o'clock pm by the time I got to the counter.Today, I arrived a full half hour prior to opening time and was still 15th in line. I was told there was a 5 hour wait (which is fine today) but I ecperienced a high level of disbelief when I was told that my truck had to be present in the parking lot for the entire 5 hours. They essentially have stranded me at their store for 5 hours! With this level of customer service I fear that their good tire warranty will be useless as they have absolutely no method of getting a customer in for a tire repair. You will probably have to burn 6 hours of your Saturday for that too.I submit that any savings on tires here is wasted on poor customer service. I have never been so sorry that I decided to purchase a set of tires in my life.Costco is great, but they can keep their crappy tire service.

Twice now this tire service center has come to my rescue in a real last-minute pinch. The customer service up front is helpful and respectful (of cdc regs and otherwise) and the crew in the bay are efficient and friendly. Thanks to the Costco Kalamazoo Tire Center Crew for all they do. Keep up the great work

I got here early to make sure everything would go smoothly. After waiting for my appointment time I was as called telling me they wouldn't do the work because a lugnut was out of round. Because of this they requested to work with me by putting only 2 of the tires on. Do to their unwillingness to come to arrangement I have to pay $150 extra. Will not be coming here again.Don't risk it it isn't worth it.

Was told on the phone that they would mount used tires if they were under 10 yrs and they inspected them for tread wear etc.Drove there on a Saturday to drop them off and the manager said nope we don t do that. They clearly can perform the work but sent me away.Don t do business with Costco tire center. They don t want your business.

You can save at the expense of long lines and awful customer service.I purchased tires and I was scheduled for installation two weeks after the purchase. I arrived on time, and I was told that your work will be done in one hour. But, I had to wait 4 hours in store to have my tires installed.

Allison was very helpful and friendly. There isn't a seating area in the tire center. They have a low inventory of tires. It's more of a pre-order and come back situation.

I arrived for my appointment at 3:30 as requested for a 3:45 APPOINTMENT. Key word. At 4:45 I was told it would be another Hour before my rotation and balancing is done. What is the point of scheduling service?

I think they do a good job, but I feel annoyed because even though I always make a reservation, it always takes at least 90 minutes, and I'd definitely prefer if it took closer to 60 min.

Normally a great place. Dude last night put a donut on a load bearing tire when there was a known ice storm that night and everything was closed that could fix his mess. wouldn't wish him on my worst enemy. ps he knew I had an infant in the car too

Service is super slow. Had an appointment for 11:30 was told it would be an hour and a half. It took over 2 hours and me going out to the parking lot to see my car sitting there done. No one called to let me know.

Won't warranty a Tire if you have aftermarket wheels. I guess I'm sticking with discount tire.
