Took my truck in to repair damage from a deer hitting the side of my truck. The body work looks fine but have had horrible issues with the paint job. Pics one, two and three are how it came back to me after the first visit. There was additional excess paint/clear coat between the front and rear door that looked horrible even after being fixed a second time. Brought it back a third time to attempt to get it fixed and left with the work done on picture four. Will not be letting them work on my truck again.

Great experience all around! This place was recommended to me by a coworker for an insurance claim, and I couldn t be happier with the work that was done to my vehicle; numerous people have commented on the good work as well, saying it looks like nothing ever happened. Plus, my car was definitely cleaned after service which I did not expect. Although slightly embarrassed, I was very appreciative! I even found some small items placed neatly in my dash that I had thought were lost ages ago.In addition, the staff were extremely helpful/knowledgeable, and the process from beginning to end was easy (managing my claim/providing an estimate, scheduling service, Gerber taking care of the rental car through a third party, working with the insurance agent, etc.).So, thank you all again for such great service, and I will definitely recommend you in the future!

Gerber was the guaranteed repair shop for my insurance company. They did an excellent job of communicating and made the process easy. Got updates daily on the status of the repair with text messages. They booked and arranged the rental car that I had as part of my coverage and had it there when I went to drop off. They vacuumed and left the car cleaner than when they dropped off. It made the process very easy and stress free.

Went to Gerber with an insurance claim for some bodywork to be fixed as result of vandalism. Worst bodywork I have ever received. Brought it back for them to fix and they made excuses and tried to fix it but they could not. The molding is popped up. There are scratches, swirl marks, and other paint defects that I brought to their attention, and more excuses. I do not believe they actually used the paint booth because there is an astounding amount of dirt nips. My vehicle is a 2018 so it s not an old vehicle. My thought is they thought it was a leased vehicle on my insurance policy and I wouldn t care, however I had actually bought out my lease entirely and paid off the vehicle in cash. They have frustrated someone that would have been a good advocate for their work and recommended them to employees and friends. Now every time I see my vehicle, I shake my head in disgust. I am in the process of hiring a new company to do the work out of pocket because of their laziness and willingness to cut corners.Below are pictures of the swirl marks and poor workmanship. The dirt nips are not pictured as they are had to capture on camera, but believe me I have found now around 13 nips, previously, I had zero.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Gerber took care of everything and was always communicating where they were in the process. Previously we ve had bad experiences with collision places, a lot of garages treat you like you re not an actual customer because it involves insurance. Gerber was the exact opposite, I felt like a customer and might come back later for some paint work on other vehicles because of the top notch service. Thanks again!

Gerber Collision has been nothing but stellar towards me. They've provided excellent and timely service. They even let me stay in their lobby on a very hot day for a bit after they closed, just until my ride home showed up; super friendly/helpful. Itemized invoices/estimates provided on request; very helpful. I've had work done by them twice and they've been seemingly honest both times (I've compared their rates to others, both times). 100% would recommend.

I just received my new 2020 Tundra back and I m so completely pleased with every aspect of there service at Gerber. Totally professional from estimate to picking me up and dropping me off at my vehicle. Amazingly, it doesn t even smell like it was in a body shop,like several other companies in the past. Furthermore, it looks like the interior was cleaned as well. All I can say is outstanding service start to finish.You won t go wrong with the team at Gerber of Hudsonville, look no further!

Waited for almost a year to get work done. The we re waiting for a door she ll. They had all other parts, but would not do any of the work till door shell came. Didn t want inside of truck to start to get rusty from salt for winter, so repaired myself. Poor communication the whole time.

My car went in for an insurance claim. They got it done quicker than expected. The paint job looked phenomenal. They even cleaned the car inside and out and I didn t expect them to do that. Wife's car was rear ended and we had it towed to Gerber. They were very upfront and honest about the schedule and how long it would take to get parts (not there fault). The car was at the shop for two months and at LEAST every other day I would get a text update on the status of the repair/parts. This made the lengthy repair SO much less stressful. Also, during the accident a full coffee was spilled all over the car. The Gerber team took it in and detailed it prior to repairs to ensure the car did not smell from old coffee. Again, I cannot speak highly enough about the Gerber team. Customer for life!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

We had some parking lot damage on the rear passenger side. Our insurance company recommended using their preferred provider, Gerber. The whole process was simple and easy. Ivana is fantastic!! My repairs had to go through insurance and I wasn't thrilled with the non-OE parts that Gerber had to use under the direction of my insurance company. Insurance claim on a fender bender after my car was backed into.After Gerber deconstructed the impacted area, they found a mess of problems underneath that stemmed from the original dealership fixing my car in a way that was not up to code. Legally, Gerber couldn't fix my car and send it back to me, so the extra problems needed to be fixed.We would have been in a world of financial hurt if we had to drop the extra $6k on the fixes, but Gerber saved us.They sent an email to us with pictures, the GM standards, and explanations of what the problem was. We forwarded it on to the dealership and they had no choice but to cover the cost. Thanks Gerber!Service: Body & Trim

I brought my fiberglass spoiler here for my 1990 Pontiac Firebird. The spoiler needed to be painted, and Gerber gave me the best quote compared to any other body shop in the Hudsonville area. Great folks to work with, very friendly. They keep you informed with regular updates by text or email (your choice) and work directly with most insurance companies so you pretty much don't have to do anything but start a claim and drop it off. Hate to need to come to a body shop, but if you do, coming to one that's as easy to work with and does great work on the reports sure makes it better. Thanks Ivana!

Handled everything. Rental car ready and setup by Gerber. Vehicle ready as predicted. No hassle. I had a deer my van and took it there that night and called the insurance company. The next day I had a quote, date to fix it and they worked directly with my insurance and rental car agency.They provided the option of the text updates to notified me of every change in the status of the repair.

Everyone was friendly and seemed to be genuinely concerned with how I was doing post accident. Bev and Ivana were great, even accommodating my schedule needs on the fly. Plus the car was done 50% faster than quoted and on top of that they even vacuumed out all the dog hair. Never would I have expected that level of service. If I ever need any work done (crossing my fingers I don t) or know anyone who does, I know who to recommend.

I recently brought in my vehicle to Gerber Collision & Glass and had a terrific experience. This company is the epitome of customer service. After dealing with my insurance company it was refreshing to work with honest, competent, and friendly people. Bev, the secretary, graciously helped me navigate my insurance options and Jay Steinbach, the general manager, provided the estimate in a timely fashion. The estimate to replace the back-hatch panel was close to $900, as my insurance had a $1000 deductible I asked if there was a to fix the back-hatch panel to just make it functional again (the handle no longer worked to open the hatch). Jay said he would see what he could do and estimated that unless he had to replace the handle he could do for around $100. After 45 minutes, he returned the vehicle with a fully functional hatch handle, he also popped out the dent. After Jay explained what he had done I asked how much I owed him, he said, Don t worry about it , and handed me the keys.

I went here based on a recommendation I received. I have not had actual repairs done yet. I stopped here for an estimate. They worked smoothly with my insurance. They called for scheduling and made the process painless. The customer service is Grade A here.

Very nice, we shall see if 5 stars holds based on communication and work done in a timely manner and the only con is they were backed up on car rentals up to 2 weeks, but not taking any Stars away as they don't advertise that they will give you a rental, it's more of a courtesy. Check back for updates. Got a free car rental and car is in shop. So far everything is good and I feel my car is in good hands, can't wait to see it when it's done, I called them on4/12/19 and asked for an estimate on how much time it will take to to fix, he said about a week and a half, which is fine... But the thing that impressed me is the why I was expecting they would have to order parts and that's what they were waiting for. He said no the parts already in it's just we have a few cars in front of you. Now most people would say okay yeah I understand but to me this means honesty it would be very easy to say yes we have to wait on parts and that's why I would take so long but he was honest enough to say why that impressed me alot. I will update again or as needed, as I tend to give very detailed reviews on big ticket items that require detailed workmanship.

After considering many collision places, I finally landed on Gerber Collision- the Hudsonville location. They have beyond exceeded my expectations, and my car looked amazing. The office staff was incredibly friendly. I honestly didn't expect the service to be so great since I was getting an estimate done for free. They were so happy to help while being fast and efficient. Will recommend to any and everybody!! I only gave them a 5/5 because there is 6th star!
