By far the best auto shop in Howell. We ve been coming here for years. I can always count on Howell auto to be fast, fair, and friendly. Truly can t recommend them enough.

Howell Auto Center has been my mechanic shop since 2000 (23 years).I won't go anyplace else.The guys are very nice,they explain in detail what the car's diagnosis is,and thoroughly explain the plan of action beforehand. They don't tell you that you need this,that and something else, they don't rip you off, and I've always had a very pleasant experience at Howell Auto Center.

*BEWARE* If I could give zero stars I would. I made an appointment a week in advance and told them I was getting a rental, they promised it would be completed in two days. I gave them the repairs on a platter prediagnosed, they had my car for a full day without even looking at it. They ran out of time to do anything on the one repair that was causing the stalling. On the other issue I told them it was strut or wheel bearing, they claimed they drove it and that there was nothing wrong with the suspension, I disagreed and after driving it again they found the struts and strut mounts were shot, but again was now 4pm on Friday and they didn t have time . They gave me my car back having fixed nothing, and still charged me 120 in diagnostics , plus 300 on the rental wasted. Single woman and mom at Christmas time, they completely screwed me with no remorse. Avoid this place at all costs. **Edited to Add** definitely not confusing shops, not a single repair that I brought it in for was completed in the two full days you had my vehicle, and I d hardly call the 30 seconds it took you to drive a sheet metal screw into a fender a molding repair.

Got a flat tire avoiding a deer on the expressway, they were able to patch it up and send me to a place that would be able to get a replacement the fastestGreat hospitality and they took my needs into account

Bill was amazing! He gave me good deals on my new tires and my brakes! He was honest about what I needed to have done. I will definitely come back to change out my rear brakes in the spring!

The best for well performed service . I have been there many times and always have had issues found, fixed with friendly staff. I will return if other issues arise in the future with my vehicle.

As a woman I feel this review is necessary. The guys at Howell Auto have never made me feel uncomfortable or stupid. Very admirable service. I am so thankful that we have Howell Auto.

Taken my truck here multiple times just had it there last week for a few different things great people. Only install what you need, explain things very well over the phone. Always upfront and honest. Trustworthy would recommend to anyone. Figured I d put in the good word since I ve been coming there for awhile. Best shop in howell area I ve been to no need to go anywhere else.

I was nervous getting my car done anywhere because my stepdad has always done all the work on my cars. But, it's cold and my brake pads and rotors needed replaced horribly. I was able to make an appointment within a day or two of my call. I met Nick who was extremely helpful. I sat in the lounge doing college work as they worked on my vehicle which they estimated an hour or two(it didn't take more than two hours as they said). In that time frame Nick was very kind and kept me updated about my car. They did a whole scan of my vehicle and found a broken part I had no awareness of & replaced it free of charge. It was a very pleasant experience and trust them to do any future work when I may need it! They really go out of their way to keep you happy! That +1% customer service!

Absolute best place to go to for anything, honest people, will never try to rip you off, very quick responses, do awesome work, I will never take my vehicle anywhere but here. They're the best place to go in Southeast Michigan. Hands down my favorite by far, the one time I didn't go here. I was quoted 800$ for my front end break pad/rotor replacement for my 2009 Ford Focus, told them no, brought it to Howell Auto center and it was only 270$, best place to go to by far. Thanks again!

I have been taking my cars here for the past several years and have always appreciated their honesty, professionalism, and expertise. I utilize their early bird drop off and they have always been able to service my car that same day without an appointment! Their prices are reasonable and they are excellent at explaining what services need to be done. Even though I no longer live nearby, it's worth the drive to continue to bring my cars here!

I have been using these guys for repair for years now and I finally decided to leave them a review. They have saved me money on repairs. My first experience was a blown transmission on a mini van. Another shop told me $3K to replace it. I took it to Howell Auto and it was a $30 sensor, a $2,700 savings. Always professional and never up selling me unless it makes sense. Very trustworthy and honest, a safe place to get your car worked on.By the way I bring my cars from South Lyon so a little out of my way, but worth it.

I've taken my 07 Chevy Silverado to them three times in the last 18 months. Their service writer is the utmost professional.Always very professional, responsive and quality work. Highly recommended garage. Good people.

We have been going here for years. They are very honest and upfront. We had a bad experience at another auto center close by and it was refreshing to go someplace trustworthy.

They are the best. Google average cost of your repair.... today I paid 2/3 less than repair may have cost elsewhere. Another time I took my vehicle in and said do whatever it needs up to $500...came back.... $60.... they said everything looked good. Hard pressed to find more honest owners and competent staff. I drive an hour to come back to them. Customer over 15 years.

I have had my car repaired here a number of times and they are professional and price competitive. Their depth of knowledge and capacity to fix car problems sets them high in my view. If you take your car there you can feel confident that your repairs will be taken care of.

This is the ONLY place I will take my vehicles. They do quality work with very fair prices. I know when my vehicles are at Howell Auto Center they will be fixed properly, and I will be kept in the loop... so no surprises. I have been to other repair shops, but the others have pailed in comparison. So, if your looking for a truly reliable, honest, fair, and quality repair shop for all your vehicle needs... you just found it.

Nice people and most honest I've ever met.When I take my car to the shop it's done right the first time. Never had to take it back.Quality that speaks load.Thank you to Rick and all of his staff .

Always reliable auromobile service. They only fix what needs to be fixed and do not try to sell unnecessary repairs.We have been taking our vehicles here for service for twenty and plan to continue.
