Dave is an absolute gem. After a terrible experience with another local collision shop on D19 recently, I started digging around on Google for someone with a better track record and stumbled upon Dave's shop. Everyone had the best things to say, and I can tell you without hesitation, that he is the only place I'll take my vehicles to in the future. He did a fantastic job on my Ram 2500, then my brother had some work done on his Chevy 2500 - both look brand new again. Do yourself a favor and keep Dave's phone number handy, you won't regret it. Literally the nicest guy you'll ever meet. Thanks again!!

Hidden Gem! My Terrain was damaged on the trunk and bumper. Dealership w/o hesitation wanted to replace trunk and not even consider other options. I knew it could be bumped out. Found Dave by chance and don t regret one minute of it. He is the kind of man you can trust, does amazing work, cost effective (saved me $2600.00) and is reliable. If he can t fix it, he will be honest with you about it. He went out of his way to take Terrain to Dan at Spartans Auto to make sure all the struts and mechanics were sound. He said, I just want you to have a safe/reliable vehicle! Dave will forever be my go to guy if ever I need repairs. Like I said, a hidden gem!

I had rust flakes and tar on my 2019 Kia Soul. The dealership would've charged me double what I payed to just have it removed with a simple clay bar. Mr. Hoffmeyer went above and beyond by washing the car several times over, buffing the entirety of the vehicle twice, painting any scratches and even cleaning the footholds on the interior of all of my doors.Oh and I didn't even mention the part where it was all done in just under 24 hours, OUTSTANDING SERVICE!If you need anything done these wonderful gentleman do body work, painting, and maintenance services for all kinds of vehicles. My daughter got rear ended back in October which pushed her into the car in front of her on the freeway. The front end and the rear of her car was damaged. We chose to take it to a family run collision center instead of a dealer or a big name shop. I am so glad we did. The insurance company was going to write off the car as totaled, but the owner of the shop convinced the adjuster that the car was definitely worth repairing. A big shop would not of cared and just took it as totaled. The collision center HOFFMYER AND SONS in Howell did an excellent job. Because the car was still drivable they secured the car with duct tape and screws so we could drive it until all the parts came in for the repair (took about 3 weeks). Then they had the car about 1.5 weeks to repair. They fixed the front and rear plus touched up any little side paint chips, that was not near the damage (they said they had the paint out anyway, why not fix it.) They buffed the entire car, got a front wheel alignment for it. We were very very happy with their work. The car looks like it is brand new. So if you need collision repair in Michigan I would HIGHLY HIGHLYrecommend them.

I was referred to Dave by a family member who did some work for them and came highly recommended. Dave did a great job repairing my car, looks awesome! Just picked up my Toyota 4Runner and am extremely happy with the job they did, both professionally and personally... we have been doing business with Hoffmeyer's for 40 plus years and have never been disappointed... they have become great friends... several of our children have had their vehicles repaired by them also...David and Jack go above and beyond the call of duty in repairing our vehicles... their professionalism and attention to detail is exemplary, not to mention their personal touch... each job they do is as if it were their own vehicle they were working on... Dave did body work and painting on both my F-150 and then my Ford Focus. His professionalism, attention to detail, and fussiness with his own work is second to none. I highly recommend his work to anyone in need of body work and paint work. I am working on two hot rod projects and really really want him to paint those cars when it comes time for that. His work is truly amazing. Choose him to do your paint and body work and you can't go wrong. His near 50 years of experience with his business shows through!!

I have had many repairs done by Jack and Dave. I have never had any complaints about the quality of their work or their professional attitude. The repairs are always done to perfection and completely meet my satisfaction. I'm pretty particular about my vehicles and they always are up to my expectations. Dave is a master at blending new to old paint. If there are options for the repair, he will make sure the customer knows what they are and the pros/cons. Dave did everything he said he would do.

We had paint splattered on the entire back end of our Ford Escape. Being new to the Howell area, we based our decision on the reviews posted to have Hoffmeyer & Sons remove the paint. Dave truly went above & beyond our expectations. The car looks brand new. He gave us a great price. They are fair & honest, and we highly recommend them.

The best collision and frame shop in Livingston County? That s easy Hoffmeyer and Sons! Friendly and knowledgeable - and with an eye for detail, the Hoffmeyer sons Dave and Jack carry on with pride the work tradition started by their father back in 1970.They treat every car they repair like it s their own. Even our insurance company spoke highly of them. They take the anxiety out of the car repair experience!I know because we just had my wife s car repaired and it looks like new! They also serve a great cup of hot chocolate just a great experience. 5 stars

I had a special request for painting some airplane parts that I needed done. Dave made a special effort to match the paint perfectly and took special care to obtain a very glossy look that I was after. I was very satisfied with the end result and at a very reasonable price. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again for any type of work that I need done.

Fantastic customer service, excellent quality, pleasant environment, great value and honest! We needed help when our son hit an animal traveling from Detroit to Grand Rapids in the middle of the night. His car was too damaged to drive and we found Hoffmeyer and Sons as a resource. They evaluated the damage and went out of their way to help us assess the cost of the repairs, all while we were 100 miles away in Grand Rapids.They are honest, kind, professional and operate with real integrity. We found Hoffmeyer and Sons by accident, literally. If you need a body shop resource, don't hesitate, pick up the phone and call them. You can trust them to do great work and make sure you get the most value for your money. Two thumbs up!
