Every employee working at this location is extremely professional and very kind. They helped me immediately with a flat and assisted in getting me the best price on a new set of tires. I was called immediately when the new tires arrived, had an appointment setup the same day, and was in and out with all new tires within 30-45 minutes. Excellent service, would recommend this location to anyone.

All 4 of my tires on my 2015 ford fusion were terrible! Went in today, got in right away, got my estimate only 456$ for all 4 tires including my rotation balancing exc.. All my lug nuts were bad I thought oh great more money.. the guy said the kit was 60$ gave it to me for 20$ due to my safety driving !!! Really awesome place! Friendly workers! I will return in the future! Thanks so much!!

Excellent Place To Get TiresHello, this is Anthony, customer of Discount Tire. I greatly appreciate you offering a warranty for tires, especially with so many miles and two whole years. I use my car for work and having reliable tires are very important. There are three things you can do to improve. First thing, give out a free warranty for a tire purchase of $1000 or above. Second thing, let me have the tires delivered somewhere besides Discount Tire and have them be put on so I don't feel like I am cheating on my favorite mechanic. Third, offer me an option to buy a warranty to take it back to the mechanic I bought the tires from for a price. You would still be making money and I could still use my favorite mechanic. Discount Tire Howell is a wonderful company. I have never dealt with rude employees or customers there. Never having rude customers means you are doing something right. Good job! I love and appreciate what you do. Keep at it!

I had a horrible experience at this discount tire. I was 45 mins away from home when my tire light came on and started flashing at me. I knew I couldn t make it back home so I found this store to see what we could do I thought possibly I just needed it patched. However that wasn t the case and that was okay. I did just buy these tires in October so was disappointed but things happen. So here s where it gets interesting, I dealt with Chris. He came out told me I needed a new tire so asked if they had any he told me the only thing they had for my car was a 4x4 one. Ok well that s not going to work. So then I asked well could you see about them putting my spare tire on so I could at least make it bad home. He says let me ask, comes back tells me my spare tire is just as bad as my tire that is currently on my car now. I had no problem with paying for them to put it on. But when he came out and told me that it made no sense it was a brand new spare. Well here s where the real reason they lied and told me they couldn t put it on. They asked for my key lock I found them and have it to them. Right before I go to leave Chris comes up to me and says by the way the shop you have do your tires before messed your lock up. Umm what? No my lock was not messed up. So I had to call and get someone to come tow my car because I wouldn t make it home. Get back into my town and take it to where I originally got the tires done. They stated they could see where they tried to take my tire off. I asked them about my spare tire because I had to order a new tire online they looked at my spare and said it s brand new. So basically discount decided to lie because they messed my key lock up and couldn t get the tire off so they lied and said my spare was not good. Once we called back they said they did not do that and they did not tell me they couldn t put my spare on. I told this man several times I am 45 mins away from home I just needed to do something. So basically because they didn t get any money out of me they couldn t help me. And again I would have paid for them to put my spare on. So once the tow truck came and got my car and we went back to my original place that I got my tires they were able to get my tire off and put my brand new spare (the one Chris said was no good) on in 15 mins. I will attach a picture of my spare.. they also lost or just didn t put my lug nut covers back on because I have 2 missing as you can see in the picture.I will never use this place again. I m thankful that where I live we have actually people who care about the wellbeing of those. Because this place clearly did not care.

Faster than bald tires on black ice! I hate to write this review because then everyone will know how fabulous this branch is and I ll probably have to wait in line next time. I got my tires replaced mid 2023 had a great experience working with Chris. The tires have handled excellently in all our MI weather! Early 2024 I got a nail in one of them, so I booked an appointment online for 4pm (super easy to book), showed up at 340 and they checked me in immediately, patched the repair, gave me a $0 invoice for the complementary/warranty repair, and had me out the door before 4pm! It was awesome! Now I m a little more independent than is probably good so I insisted on taking the tire home and putting it on myself and somehow knocked the balancing weights out of the tire I called them back (waited on hold for a total of 4 seconds), spoke with Chris and he said I could come back at my convenience and they d rebalance it for me. I showed up unannounced the next day expecting to wait in line, but they got me in right away and even did a complementary balance on the other three tires too! Really glad to live by this branch. I ve been shopping with Discount Tire for 11 years and the Howell branch is by far my favorite location and best experience! Shout out to the kind gentleman with silver hair who met me in the lot and took the tire I was rolling in (Barry?) and to Chris and the red haired guy (Brandon or Brendon?) for awesome customer service! I ll definitely be back for my next tire repair or purchase (hopefully not too soon).

Overall experience was great. Came in on Saturday at 2pm during the black Friday sale. Definitely a busy location with a full shop and a line of cars getting free air checks. Chris got me set up with the tires I wanted and Andrew pulled my vehicle in about 20 minutes after. Him and another technician installed the tires in a quick manner. I'm impressed on the focus they had on getting customers in and out as fast as possible.

I purchased some new Konig rims and Continental tires for my VW GTI, and they look and feel great! I was getting some vibrations at higher speeds after the first install, but Andrew and the technicians worked it out and ordered some custom hub rings free of charge. Vibrations are now gone.Overall, the team at this Discount Tire location is excellent. It is well managed. The amount of work these guys see in a day is crazy and they still provide great service while cranking through the workload.

This location has the most helpful staff and do their best get customers in and out in a timely manner. This is most appreciated when I know staffing is difficult these days. I will always return for any tire need big or small!

I ve never had any kind of problem with discount tire if one thing I enjoy going there cause I feel like they always are willing to help. Today I came out to the store to get a wheel fixed. I spoke to the guy and was told he order the wheel for me and would be about an hour before it arrived so I said I d run some errands. Never heard back from them so I called back two hours later and they said it would be in by five so I could make my way there and they attend me. I make it there at 5:10 speak to the guy and he says it hasn t arrived and asked when I had order it. I told him a few hours ago and he said it wouldn t be in for a few days!! I work 5-6 days a week and 11 hour shifts if I would ve known that they couldn t get it done that day I would ve simply went to another location. Looks like I m screwed for another week. Hope my tire holds out. Definitely will not be going back to this location.

I stopped in when my low tire light came on. They were able to repair the nail damage. They were fast and it was free. It didn't matter that the tires were not from them. All staff was friendly and thanked me for coming in. They did give me an estimate, incase I want to replace my tires soon. However they did not try to pressure me it to a purchase

Needed new wheels for my car. I called the store to order an affordable option and make an appointment. Brandon let me know that they no longer offer that option but he could get me the a slightly more expensive set for the same price. I made an appointment for the next day and they were ready for me and began work on my car right away. Brandon was super helpful and we will be returning to get new tires when we are ready!

Stopped by for a simple air check. Which went well. But watched the most horrible example of leadership I've ever seen. Person who helped me was quick and efficient. However the moment he was done Chris started yelling at him "What are you doing, get upstairs" Then Chris with his hands in his own pockets began to yell at the other employees to " Hurry up" and was questioning them " What are you doing!" multiple times. The employees were truly running from one station to another. But he was non stop berating them. Know what would have would have made the process faster? Him not standing there with his hands in his pockets. Leadership is done from the front. Not from the sidelines barking incessantly . Chris did not show any leadership talent and should request a refund on any leadership training he has attended. The employees were moving at break neck pace and jumping over tripping hazards. In an attempt to appease his onslaught of verbal abuse. Highly recommend Chris get some reeducation on how to run a business and I would recommend the District manger come see for himself. Mistakes were for sure made under the undo nonstop verbal abuse of employees with Chris in the shop. Check your lugnuts, I"m sure Chris didn't touch any tools. He just yelled "faster" at everyone that did.

Don t ever waste your time and money with these clowns. No matter what you re in for, no matter how new your tires are/how perfect of condition they re in, their sales guys blatantly lie to you and will try to upsell you to 4 new tires. Braylon asked me about 8 times despite my not showing any interest in doing so. It s been this way every time I ve been. Honestly I don t know why it s taken me so long to decide this but the last time I was in will be the last time I ll be in. There s a Bell Tire a miles down the road in Brighton, 100% worth the extra drive to avoid these useless scammers

big thank you to this discount tire today helping my wife with our kid get back on the road today. blown out tire, called up and braylon was extremely nice to her, got there and he took care of her, only wanted one tire but seeing it was awd him and Andrew told her it d be a good idea to get them all replaced which I understood bc even tho the tires weren t comepletly bald from what they were telling us, putting a different kind of tire on there as well as different tread depths definitely isn t a good idea all tho they said they definitely could do so it s just not recommended so they gave her a great deal on some great tires and the overall experience with those 2 from what she told me was great

Great service from Discount! The location is very organized, clean, and prices were fair. They have taken several extra steps to make everyone comfortable. Every employee was friendly and willing to help!They were able to get the tire I needed in less than 24 hours, which was super helpful. Other stores needed 72 because of the weekend.Overall, very impressed with the service. If you need help, I d definitely give them a chance.

HERE WE GO AGAIN, I came here yesterday to have two tires mounted onto a pair of fairly expensive wheels $612USD per wheel! One of the wheels was brand new, fresh out of the box from Japan. I came to the Howell location because the Brighton location near US 23 had badly damaged a full set of wheels in the past and tried to lie to me about it, claiming that "they had to damage them to be able to dismount the tires".So coming to pick this pair up I had checked them for damages around the lips as that's usually where they would get scratched/gouged, but they were covered in the mounting lube so I cleared that away and they seemed fine. As soon as I get home and begin to clean the excess lubricant off of them, I notice my brand new wheel has a huge gouge in the center hub where I hadn't even thought to look, this is likely from someone being very careless with the shaft of the tire balancer when putting the wheel on. Now my brand new black wheel has a huge chip of paint missing right in the center of it and a few deep gouges in the hub area (photos attached).I guess my best bet is to drive about an hour to Jiminez Tire in Detroit for proper service when mounting tires.Edit: I also forgot that "DAN" had applied an additional $55.00 to my bill for "replacement certificates" that I did not even get asked if I wanted, I had to wait about 20min to get them refunded when I picked the wheels up, since he was on the phone for 10min while there were customers waiting in line.

Andrew the customer service salesman at the front counter in Howell has top-notch service. He's fast yet patient, very knowledgeable very helpful keeps his line moving with an upbeat pace. I'll keep coming back bause of him.

UPDATE 3/28/22:I need to update my review, Discount Tire has reached out to me @ to my review and my concerns. They wanted to see what happened and to explain their side of things. They listened to my concerns and how I felt about the situation, they were very understanding and I felt very pleased with the way the conversation ended.Well like I said in the beginning of my review I have always been very pleased with Discount Tire up until my review....I continue to stand by the beginning of my review @ to Discount Tire being honest and making me feel comfortable with their work.Thank you Discount Tire for reaching out to me about my review and my concerns. I do still highly recommend them.I have always felt like Discount tire was honest and I never felt taken advantage of until today. I went in to get a slow leak fixed and I was told there were 2 nails and 1 was in the side so that one could not be repaired and I would have to replace it. Then I was told that my 2 front tires needed to be replaced because of the wear...so they said it would be best to just get 4 new tires. After talking to my husband and trying to decide what to do we made a rash decision to just go ahead and get the 4 new tires (like I said I have always trusted them) But it was when I decided to get some pictures to show my husband is when I saw 1 nail and it was not in the side of the tire but it was on the top but toward the side....maybe it was to close and couldn't get a patch but it could of gotten a plug. And the 2 front tires looked like they still had quit a bit of tread still on them to me, when he measured them for me they were at a 5 and he said we usually recommend new tires when they are at 4...so to me they shouldn't need replacing right now, maybe soon but they did not need them today. So both of those were not what was told to me.And because they already processed the payment I was given the impression that it was more trouble to back out at that point. I literally left there with a headache and sick to my stomach feeling that he was not truthful to me and was just trying to push a sale....he did give me a couple discounts but I still feel like they did not need what he told me at this time and he was not truthful to me.

After having to reschedule multiple times, Andrew was very patient and supportive. They took great care of my truck putting much needed new tires on her!I was annoyed that the company only accepts veteran discount if you purchase online. It's definitely would've saved me a few pennies. However, Chris was very nice and awesome with the customer service process and I was very satisfied!

I usually have had good experiences with Discount Tire. In person they've been great. But this time I ordered tires online to get the military discount. It took two weeks and they still weren't ready when I stopped by hoping to pick them up. Well at least I was able to get them, but had to wait for them to be mounted. As always the in person service was great . Just not sure if I would order online again.

Went in for a slow leak, told Andrew twice it was the front left tire. They read it wrong and checked the front right tire, and said there was a slash in the tire. Never fixed the issue I went in for, and spent the whole time trying to sell me $850 worth of new tires saying my tread was almost gone. My stepdad and I determined there was 1, no slash in the tire I never asked them to check, and 2, the tread was completely fine. Waste of my time and tried to scam me, an absolute joke. How stupid do you think I am? Will not be back, ever. :)

After getting my tires changed here I thought my car was good until I noticed 2 of my tires were missing lug nuts. I ve gone to discount for years and this was my first issue.Make sure you check your wheels as this location doesn t care about your safety!!!

They recommend the Michelin Defender 2 for my wife's Honda CRV and my Honda Accord, as we wanted quiet smooth tires.The tires are brilliant on the CRV, very quiet and smooth riding. They are also excellent on the 19 Accord, except for 2 issues: poor on-center tracking (felt like driving on a windy day), and wet traction. They slipped pretty easily on wet pavement.My son is a new driver, and most often drives my car.Worried about winter in SE Michigan, I contacted Michelin who recommended the CrossClimate 2.Discount Tire processed the exchange and took care of me the same day (which was amazing, because they were very busy).Good service, nice folks.

I pulled in late, just before close with a tire leak. There was no hesitation. They agreed to fix my tire, and did so cheerfully and professionally. Then, late as it was, I did not have my wheel lock extra time to get the wheel off, fix the tire, and thanked me for coming.These folks are amazing. All they asked was that I return when I need tires. You can believe I will. You re awesome!

Yeah these guys are usually swamped so expect to wait longer than they say. You can probably double whatever they say to wait. But at least they take of you and I haven t had any major problems doin business here. They re trying the best they can.
