This place reliably has everything I need, whether it's for my home, business or most of my automotive needs. One of my favorite things about this place is the fact that within seconds of walking in the door there is a helpful employee eager to help me find exactly what i need.

Great selections and ultra helpful employees. Living out in the sticks, I appreciate having them within quick driving distance. That store has saved my behind countless times in the last 10 years. They are great at chain saw chain sharpening also. $5 each. Saves me time when I let dull ones pile up. Keep your blade out of the dirt kids.

They are very helpful to tell you where to find something. I'm handicap and they went and got me a twenty pound of birdseed and carried it out to my car. The prices are a little high but going to a bigger store will add up the same because of the difference in mileage and time.

I absolutely love this hardware! The people are amazing to say the least. Prices are very good. I hear lumber is a little more expensive but if you add in gas and time to either go to Big Rapids or Grand Rapids you'll be paying more anyway. There's always going to be people whom you can never please and you may find a better price here and there but Mattsons is seriously the place to go if you want a old time hardware with amazing people to help you out. It's not a big hardware chain where you are just a number, it's down home good people who you mean something to hardware. Very rare these days and so hard to find. They absolutely rock!

It's a great hardware store, with a pretty good selection and variety of stuff. But the staff there are very pushy with there help. I love great customer service but when I say I'm all good and don't need help I really am not a fan of someone hovering over me and watching my every move like I'm gonna rob them blind. Makes me feel very uncomfortable and not want to shop. Me and many other people I know personally would probably spend a lot more than we already do if we were basically stalked the whole time we try shopping.

It's my go to spot for almost everything. Good selection for a small town location and if you need something don't be afraid to speak up they will be happy to get it for you if available.

They are a little pricey. But have a pretty good selection of stuff. And they are not liable for work that you do yourself , they sell you what you ask for , just saying !

Well-stocked little local hardware store with sufficient staff who are helpful and knowledgeable. When you tell one of them what you need to accomplish, they will help you and also enlist the help of their coworkers in order to reach a solution.

Mattsons is a great hardware store. They actually have a huge selection of items. I mean they have crafts, fabric, firearm targets, and I could go on. Obviously they have the normal hardware store stuff too. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Always willing to help you find that oddball fitting lol.

Seriously the worst customer service. I ve been ignored at the counter while looking at two workers gossip, they seem irritated when asked to mix paint. I was asking one for help and another lady came barreling Through us without saying excuse me. These are 3 separate occasions. Guess u don t need good customer service when you re the only hardware in town

I was sold a compression fitting..I asked if it needed tape for sealing, the guy said no. Two weeks later I discovered a pool of water that came from the fitting. It destroyed the cabinet floor under my sink. Plumber came and installed a rubber seal which was missing when I bought the fitting. And today I tried to return a defective sprinkler, but baldy wouldn't take it back since I didn't have the display apparatus it came with. He wants to sell it again (his words) . All of the items there are cheap junky stuff. They wont be seeing me again.

Guy was rude and short. I hand him my debt card and he tossed it back at me across counter and did the same thing with receipt. Even tho both time I was trying to reach for them. Price wise very high depending upon what you need. As big stores are farther away. They definitely get you in being right around the corner.

Usually I have very good luck at Mattsons. The past few times I've gone, I've called ahead and was told they had product. Drove there. Didn't have it! Hopefully they get it together. I prefer to support local.

Went here for tubes for the my bicycles great staff friendly people showed us right where we needed to get our tubes for the tires and out the door we went. I give matteson's a four-star rating today thank you Matsons!
