Had a truly enjoyable experience purchasing a travel trailer from Camping World in Houghton Lake. From the first contact to the day I drove out of their lot it was SUPER EASY. Dustin and Rosario were extremely helpful as was the staff. Had them add an awning over the slide out while we wrapped up the paperwork. Minimal effort and time from start to finish. Well worth the drive down. I highly recommend!

The sales staff at the Houghton Lake location is wonderful. They have a great selection of travel trailers, great deals, and something for almost any budget. If you are in the market for a travel trailer, RV, or accessories, I would highly recommend that you stop by and browse their selection. You won't be sorry.

What a great experience we had! We have had some not so great experiences while looking for the perfect camper to fit our needs until we contacted Melissa. She made everything easy, no BS, sent more pictures as requested since we did 100% of this purchase online. After a 9 hour drive to see the camper for the first time in person we were not disappointed at all. I would recommend this Camping world to anyone who is looking.

Had a great experience with Melissa Underwood in service. I had bought a used 2022 WolfPup with a slide.First time out on a trial run the slide wouldn't work. They sent a technician who said the side rod broke. Melissa had me bring it in for warranty repair. This was handled in a timely manner. They also addressed the minor items I felt were in need of repair.Thank you Camping World for your expert service.

What a wonderful experience we had buying our camper through these guys. I got a great deal on my camper they went above and beyond to help us reach our dream. I want to thank Larry Kelsey our sales rep for everything he did for us very professional always kept in contact with us throughout the buying process and when we were there getting our truck set up with the hitch he offered to let us use his vehicle to go out to eat. I mean I never have heard of someone doing that. He even called us up the next day to see how everything went getting home. I also want to thank everyone that helped us out the day we came to pick up our camper Jodie was super nice us kept us informed on progress and answering any questions we had. Dan for going over the camper to make sure we knew how everything worked and giving us little tips. Ed for installing our hitch and making sure we knew how everything worked. Dan in financing was super nice and he went over all of our little perks we got and stuff. Michael the sales manager he was great as well I know there are people I m forgetting but what I m getting at is. If you are looking to buy or just a place to shop for items for your camper. You could not ask for a better group of people. I mean ok my dad had bought a camper from a different dealer and they kept giving him the runaround about some questions he had about his camper so he talked to these guys and they went above and beyond to help him out even though he did buy though them. I highly recommend them to any one. Smiles for days thanks again for everything

HIGHLY DISSAPPOINTED!!!! My husband had Camping world order him a hitch to be installed In our 2023 GMC 3500. Although they were going to price match the Hitch that my husband showed them, he give the person the full details of the Truck that we have. So they ordered the hitch and my husband went up to get it installed and within 45min the gentleman came into the waiting room and informed my husband that HE (My husband) ordered the WRONG HITCH..... the hitch that was ordered BY CAMPING WORLDS employee was $2600 and some change installed but since the wrong hitch had been purchased by camping world they conveniently had the correct hitch in stock for $1200 more for a total of $3800 and some change. SO we ended up taking the truck to a different business and had the SAME HITCH that they quoted us and had In stock for the $3800 and change. We had it installed for less than $2200!!!! It is just sickening that if you are not aware of your surroundings and aren't able to research things we could've been taken advantage of for $1600!!! BEWARE AND DO YOUR RESEARCH!!! Shame on you camping world do better!!!

We drove from Buffalo, NY, to purchase a new fifth wheel. Our experience was over the top amazing. From the first phone call to driving away, everyone was kind, friendly, and patient. Larry was our salesman, and he was very welcoming and didn't rush us at all. There was no pressure whatsoever, and he answered our many questions. Dustin with finance was also very welcoming, even when my poor dog got sick right in the middle of the store from the long car ride. Dustin was informative and explained everything line by line. He made the finance part easy. Adam did our orientation. He showed us everything from top to bottom for our new rig. Adam was extremely patient and able to stay focused and get us through everything despite our millions of questions. Adam had a lot of knowledge of the rig and presented it in an easy and fun way. Vicky showed us around the store and helped us get the right size tire covers. Jodi hosted us at the camping world, we stayed a few nights there while the sale was going on. If we had to buy another rig, we would 100% come here again. We would recommend anyone interested in buying a camper to go here! It was a great experience.

Just purchased a Forest River Sunseeker class c motor home on December 26, 2023. The Camping World team (Cody, Dustin and Dan) made our experience outstanding and flawless. If you are looking to purchase a motor home, I highly recommend stopping at the Camping World store in Houghton Lake.

We went to check out their campers. They had a pretty good selection of campers. No prices listed like other dealers and we didn t want the pressure of meeting with a salesperson. And they were extremely busy so even if we had wanted too, I m not sure how long we would have had to wait to meet with a salesperson.

Truly enjoyed our purchase of a new 5th wheel. Cody was our salesman. He was very accessible when we had questions and stayed in contact through delivery.We traded a toy hauler for a smaller, new floor plan . They didn t have one at their store but he found one and had it shipped from another state to the store near us , AND stayed within the budget he had told us initially.Job well done!

My husband and I were originally looking here for a camper. There were literally thousands of dollars in extra fees. $1,000 to have the camper brought over to the lot and there's several campers on the lot. Over $1,000 for them to inspect the camper. Our salesman was a dud. Save yourself some time. Go to Price Right in DeWitt!

Had a great experience trading and upgrading our travel trailer at Camping World Houghton Lake recently. Our sales person Steve had a good grasp of what we were looking for and showed us only models that fit our criteria without overwhelming us with choices. A fair exchange and professional hand over of our old unit to the new one with a lot of attention to detail. Overall a good experience and would go back there for further needs.

We came home and my husband remembered everything we needed to get it set up. Ed the hitch tech. He was very helpful! And easy to understand how to use the hitch. Jodie S for showing us the way to everything and helping us get to everyone we needed to! Haleigh was amazing and did a great job showing us around the store! We were able to get a lot of everything we needed!! And Dan the finance man for helping ilia get a great deal! And thank you Rosario you lead us to the perfect camper for our family! Wonderful people, wonderful place.Just bought a2023 coleman lantern lt17b.Melissa was great! Hard working very patient made first time buying awesome.Josh in finance was so easy to deal with great guy does a fantastic job!Service crew was great! I would definitely highly recommend!Thank you too any of the crew I missed at camping world in Houghton lake Michigan.Y'all made it a very good experience.

The team at Camping World Houghton Lake were great, full breakdown of our new WolfPup and ensuring we had proper set with our vehicle and even fix a fuse which was causing light issues to the camper. Recommend to all first time camper buyers they really go the distance to ensure you know all about your camper.

Pain free experience purchasing our new to us 2020 Jayco Greyhawk 29MV motor home. Cody in sales was great to work with and very responsive to our inquiries, Dan did a great thorough job walking us through the orientation, and Dustin very detailed and thorough through the financing and closing portion. The vehicle was properly prepped for us on delivery day. Highly recommend Camping World of Houghton Lake to anyone looking to enhance their experience in the RV life.

Would never recommend! Our sales guy should have been a red flag not to get our camper at this place. He was a jerk because we were young, didn t think we d have good credit or money, and told us that at the end when he found out he was wrong. I still begged my husband to get this camper because it was everything I wanted in a camper. We used it TWICE the solar broke, the door to the cabinet snapped and our break controller that the sales guy said we had to have installed on our truck stopped working. Little did we know we didn t actually even need that, it just makes it nice to have. We called to get our solar fixed told us they d order a part. A month later still never heard anything, gave them a call said they didn t even order it yet they decided we needed more testing to make sure but never called or communicated that with us at all. So they finally order the part said it would be in, that date came and went still no call to say if it was in or to bring our camper in to get fixed. I ve called no answer. Terrible communication and customer service. If I could sell my camper back to them for what I owe and just count the losses for what I ve paid already I absolutely would.

We worked with Melissa Morrison. She showed us models, actually listened to what we were interested in and called when she had a unit that matched exactly from floorplan to price point.From our first visit to driving away with our camper we were very happy with our treatment and service received.

Melissa is the rock star although everyone there is friendly and helpful. I was losing faith in CW, but this place restored that. They were diligent and went above and beyond to help me.

What a positive, amazing experience, right from our first phone call to Melissa to inquire about a specific truck camper. Her responses were quick and the information flowed freely...she even offered to put in a request to melt our snow up in the UP so that we could camp sooner.Our pick up day arrived and after our 4 hour trek to Houghton Lake, in the rain and gusty winds, we were met by the delightful front desk person, Sue. She was very helpful throughout our time at Camping World, she kept us in bottled water, fresh coffee, conversation and even snacks.Jodie was like the go between for all the different areas necessary to acquire our little rig, she kept things moving.Adam gave us our camper orientation, he had some wonderful stories and was knowledgeable about the workings of our specific rig, we found his orientation to be quite useful.While waiting for our mounts to be installed, we spoke with Brandon in parts, inquiring about different possible add ons, because no camper is complete without accessories (am I right?). Brandon was helpful in guiding us to appropriate selections and was even willing to contact a different location closer to us, regarding the installation of different items.And of course they wanted us to pay for our rig, and that task was completed by finance manager, Dan. Dan had a nice low key way about him, no pressure was felt regarding extended warranties, etc... when he started, I was like, " oh here we go..." but we never went there, at least not with any pressure (we did end up with a 7 year extended warranty).To wrap up the team that served us at Camping world, we had Steve (Stevie Wonder) & Travis (Travis Tritt). While they did not sing for us, what they did do was provide us with information regarding the wear, care and upkeep of our mounting system.So there you have it, it took this entire, 5 star team to get this little truck camper out the door, and they did so with flying colors. Keep up the good work everyone. Keep caring about everyone who has made the decision to entrust you with their hard earned, disposable income.

Can Adam come camping with us?! We are first time buyers and were a little bit nervous about the whole thing. It is so obvious Adam loves everything about camping and was so enthusiastic and informative. I remember the day we came to look for a camper and were outside the Rockwood (that we ended up purchasing). He was a few campers away and was washing a camper down. He was watching us and then came over to talk to us about it. After we purchased it and came for our orientation, I was so delighted that he was the one to greet us outside of our new camper. He recognized us as well. He walked us through and made us touch and handle everything to get acquainted. Although I am still a bit nervous about towing it the first time, he made the experience so wonderful. One thing that made us doubt the purchase initially is that Camping World literally changed the price on line for the same camper 3x in 3 days. We didn't care for that practice at all and you almost lost the sale. But both Rosario and Adam were super informative and very professional. 5 stars to Adam and Rosario!

Don't stay in communication, give you a price then raise it. Prices are higher then other rv dealerships made me get insurance 3 days ago and Saturday was the day I was suppose to sign papers still now they're saying Monday I'm not happy with they way I've been screwed around

Tom K. took a lot of time talking us through what we were looking for and why, and we wound up with the perfect trailer. It was a fun experience, and they took care of everything. We would definitely recommend Camping World and Tom K. to all our friends.

We bought a used 5th Wheel Trailer. Everyone there was very friendly and accommodating. ADAM, explained and showed us how everything in our new trailer worked. He did a great job and answered all of our questions. We were very pleased.

The staff at Camping World was great. Our camper needed repairs from storm damage. They worked steamlessly with the insurance co.and we re able to get the repairs completed in a timely fashion. Very good communication with us, keeping us informed of the progress. Recently, we were interested in a new camper and the sales staff was friendly, informative and patient. We are very happy with experience at Camping World.

I stopped in with a loose frame bracket, they sent someone right out to line it up and tighten it properly. Then said have a nice day! Didn't charge me anything. Great service. I will be purchasing my next RV here.

My husband and I bought a used motor home from Camping World in Houghton Lake, Michigan last week. The entire experience from start to finish was fantastic. Our salesman, Rosario, reached out to us after a unit we were previously interested in sold before we were able to look at it. He worked with us on price and delivered what we had discussed. On the day we took delivery of the motor home, we had a detailed tour of the vehicle by Adam. He went over every system on the motor home with us and had us do operations ourselves to be sure we knew how to perform them. Jason walked through the store with us and was extremely helpful with suggestions about what is usually needed to equip a motor home. Dustin, the person in finance knew his material backwards and forwards and made the experience pleasant. Without exception, everyone on staff at Houghton Lake Camping World was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. From the time we walked in the door to the time we left, we were greeted to smiles and hellos and expertise. Camping World of Houghton Lake is a top notch, high quality facility and we will be lifetime customers.
