*Updated Review:Over the past few months, I have regained some trust and respect for Armstead. The office staff is friendly and they generally recognize me when I pop in with questions or concerns.But this morning takes the cake... I was leaving my vehicle for maintenance and the owner spotted me walking down the driveway to my office. He stopped and offered a quick ride. In our brief conversation, he mentioned the trails he has cut behind the business and talked about how nice it is to venture into 7-Lakes via those trails. I'm excited to test them out with my pup VERY SOON!THANK YOU for the short ride, valuable trail information, your friendliness, and for the open offer of future rides back and forth to the office while my vehicle is being serviced.THAT'S STELLAR SERVICE. ------------------------------------------Original Review:Currently, it's after 4pm and I'm sitting in the waiting area feeling disappointed that they've had the car ALL day with an appointment scheduled for 3pm, but they haven't even started to take a look at my vehicle. I left the car this morning and walked to my office.Maybe they pushed me back to serve other customers ahead of me since I was not sitting here waiting for the 3pm time slot? Not sure, but it's unfortunate since my schedule is incredibly tight this evening.Once a repair determination has been made, I will do my best to update this review - if things improve from this point.

The guy who answers the phone is perfect for his job. He was super friendly and welcoming. I had an oil change. I thought it was a great price compared to other places I ve been. Nice area to wait while your vehicle is worked on also. I will be back. I was also able to get service the same day I called for an appointment. Great job Armstead s.

I wish I could give a 5 star review but unfortunately I cannot. Took my car in to have it looked at, was given a list of repairs, normal. A skilled family member of mine offered to fix my car if I paid for the parts. I was quoted for repairs that didn't NEED to be done on my car. I was told my brake pads were at about 5% and I needed new rotors as well, my trans fluid was black/ super burnt so they recommended a trans servicing, they said my front axles and control arms needed replaced, and that my rear differential needed to be replaced as well. Top 3 things on the list that they said needed to be repaired; control arms, axels, and the rear differential. My professionally trained and mechanically skilled family member said they didn't even check my trans fluid, not even the dip stick. My brakes have about 50% left on them so I didn't need those or rotors, and the axels didn't HAVE to be replaced, they weren't in as bad of condition as they made it seem. The control arms, yes, the bushings were falling out when the control arms were removed so they were correct on that one. But it feels like they were trying to get me to drop 3k on fixing my car when I told them my budget is $1200. If I have work that needs to be done that my family cannot help with, I'll consider coming back but I won't be coming by myself.

I had the fuel injectors on my 2022 Chevy Blazer serviced as recommended by GM every 30,000 miles. Had a 1:00p appointment they started on it at 1:05p . All the service was completed in approximately one hour as promised. They do what they promise. Thanks Armstead. I will return to Armstead when I have need of them. 5 stars

Great place for your repair needs.. we took our daughters car here to be repaired and they did a wonderful job not only informing us on the repairs we requested but also things that needed to be addressed on our vehicle. We are highly satisfied with our service and will be making this garage our go to place for our service needs your team was awesome.. thank you.

Went for an alignment, exhaust leak, and engine diagnostic. Got nothing but great results through in and out. From friendly service on call to the front desk, I was informed about the vehicle multiple times. The prices are very reasonable and time of procedure is timely and thorough. First time customer. Initially wrote a good review but had to come back and rewrite it after (lowered 5 stars to 2). Armstead did a good job diagnosing but did incomplete job rotating tires and no longer schedules appointments online or answers emails.Initially, I loved the thorough diagnosis on all the basics and the deep dive I requested regarding an increasing wheel noise. I though it might be bearings but bearings checked out ok. The problem was uneven rear tire wear and choppy treads. Tires rotated to try to even out tread wear. Online diagnostics results are nice to have as well. Online scheduling 1 week ahead worked well for this appt but proved unrepeatable.Tire rotation corrected the noise but I have had several negative post service issues. Tire pressure sensors were not re-synced after rotation. Discovered later when adjusting tire pressure at home. Pretty basic 2 minute step missed.Secondly, if there was an online scheduling and email communication capability, it is broken. My recent 1 week ahead online scheduled appointment was acknowledged with a form email saying thanks and someone would contact me. I was not contacted and when I called the day before the appointment was verbally told "your appointment was not scheduled. No follow up call means the requested appt was not available." Nothing in the form email warned of your appt not being made successfully. Called and was told "calling in for appts is always better".Also, I sent an email (to john... and service...) 1 week before the online scheduled appt with details of my issues, the work I needed done, the time/date scheduled online, and a website bug. I was trying to help to be done in 1 day. Email was apparently ignored as well.I admit I'm venting but scheduling is important for managing time without a car and email/online communications are advertised capabilities that I relied on over calling during business hours.I did get an email asking for me to write a google review so here you go.Service: General repairs & maintenance

We have been bringing my our vehicles to Armstead for many years. They are reliable and advise of issues that need to be resolved immediately and also suggest other issues that need attention in the near future. They don t push or pressure. I really like the electronic quote system, being able to view all the notes, suggestions and ability to approve or decline suggested fixes. Could not be happier with the service and attention to detail at Armstead. They have worked on 3 of our diesel trucks. If you are in the Holly area you can t go wrong with these guys. Hot coffee, cable TV, comfortable waiting room.

Have always had good service here at what I feel is a reasonable charge. My vehicle is always ready when promissed, not like dealerships I have gone to in the past. Alternator belt shredded. Had it replaced. Tune up, ignition coil replaced. Always Great service from Armstead. Friendly, helpful atmosphere! I ve been bringing my car to Armstead for years. They put the customer first and get repairs done quickly. Went to have the trans fluid check in my standard shift vehicle they looked at it for a 1/2 hour and told me all the fluids were good the transmission is good no charge. Thank you very much again.

I've been at Armstead twice for an alignment and for new tires. Both times they did a very good job for a very reasonable price. I even had a problem with an aftermarket exhaust hanger and they sorted it for no charge at all. We have used Armstead Automotive to maintain and repair our two vehicles for several years now. They are amazing. Their service desk team is friendly and efficient. Their mechanics are skilled and do their work in a timely fashion. If there's ever a problem, their service manager will work it out and you will be glad you chose them as your preferred auto maintenance service. Very fast in diagnosing the problem. Gave me a couple different repair options/costs. Got the car fixed and back to me in a couple days time. Runs very well with no issues. Had the parts that were broke when I asked to see them. Was less than half the cost of the local dealership. Would recommend this shop for all auto repairs as well as return in the future.

Took my 2018 Jeep Wrangler to for replacement of the belt, idler pulleys, and belt tensioner to ensure that my Jeep would be 100% for an upcoming off-road trip to Moab, Utah. While completing repairs, they inspected my battery and also informed me that it should be replaced. Due to part availability the services needed to be completed the following morning and the they even kindly offered me a ride home. Very professional and courteous, friendly, clean waiting room and guest bathroom. Highly recommended!! 5 stars!!Services: Engine repair, Auto battery maintenance, Battery

Electric power steering went out on my F150. Everywhere I took it said it was a dealer only repair, and I avoid the dealerships as much as possible. I called Armstead and they said to bring it in. Not only did they fix it, but they didn't even have it a week before it was fixed. Dealer couldn't even get it in to look at it for a month. They even looked over my truck and recommended other things that needed to be fixed. They do amazing work and have great customer service at a fair price. Definitely your best alternative to a dealership in the area. I'll be using them for all my future auto repairs that I can't do myself, and taking our company vehicles there as well.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment
