Horrible Customer service. Purchased a battery that was faulty. When they exchanged it the next battery died in less than 6 months and they said other was past the warranty so would not exchange.Worker posed as the manager because the actual manager called the next day stating she was in Kentucky.Blamed my car for the faulty battery and told customer care the battery tested fine after Garret tested it and told us that it was "completely dead"Lie after lie.Will not be returning to Valvoline for any services or products.

Went in to get an oil change in the 16th along with my twelve year old daughter and was disgusted by the behavior of the male working there. I have never seen a GROWN man look at a twelve year old the way this GROWN man did. He spent just as much time looking my daughter up and down as he did changing my oil! When I informed him that my daughter is twelve, he responded with an eye roll. He's lucky I'm not ready to throw my life away!DISGUSTING!!

As a repeat customer my experiences have always been great, however after this last one I will not be returning. I came in last Friday for an oil change, Brittany, the shift manager, who I have worked with before noticed two filters needed to be desperately changed, one being the air filter, which I appreciated. Right as I was leaving I noticed my car tugged back, didn't think much of it as it was a one and done on the way home, however the tugging restarted on and off over the weekend, leading to the engine light coming on. Made an appointment at the dealership for later in the week as they were booked. A mechanic friend of ours mentioned how it was odd the issues started right after the oil change. Decided to bring it back in to vavoline with the info from our friend. Come to find out the air filter was installed backwards and causing all the issues. I understand people make mistakes, but installing a filter backwards seems like a issue that should never occur if a mechanic is properly trained, not to mention the amount of money this would have costed had I ended up taking it to the dealership.

Was told it would be about a 5 minute wait, that turned into 10. Should have left then. Was told an oil change would take about 10-15 minutes. It took over 40 minutes. I don't appreciate being lied to and my time being wasted. I recommend finding a different oil change center. I won't be going back.

I went in earlier this year. The Customer Service was good. Staff was very knowledgeable and informative. It didn't take long to fix the problem. I would go back again.

Have used this location for many years now and appreciate the manager, Melissa, for her dedication to making this location run efficiently with a high level of excellence. Every time I go there I get the best customer service! Today Melissa an Izzy were great! They changed my company cars oil and replaced my wipers for me. Thank you so much ladies!! I truly do appreciate you all!!

I travel for work this was local one to stop at and i rely on valvoline to get my oil changes and other maintenance things done. I have not in my many years coming to these locations ever had a bad experience. And this one was the same friendly staff,quick service and back on the road. Thanks again!

Service was fine, but pricing lacks transparency. I was recommended the full synthetic oil change and then shown the price on a swiveling computer screen, $93. When I expressed surprise, and asked if there was a less expensive option, the employee tried to push me into the full synthetic. I got semi synthetic when I insisted and that for $80. There are plenty of other places where pricing is posted and where I won t be pressured or overcharged. I don t plan on going back here. See Megan K s review below for a similar experience.

I went in for an oil change. Whatever testing that was done on my car battery showed it was in the Healthy stage (leaning closer to the Caution stage) but was told I should consider getting a new battery soon due to the cold weather. Once the oil change was complete, I was directed to start my vehicle. It did not start. I never had problems with my car automatically starting until I had the oil change. They got my car to start after a few tries. A day later, I m sitting in a parking lot because my car won t start again. I m currently waiting on a friend to help with the battery. I only believe whatever they did to my battery is what s causing it to malfunction now.Service: Oil change

I waited over 1.5 hours on a Saturday for my oil change. They charged me over $100 for my oil and without my consent added extra oil to the charge (I was quite low). I needed the extra oil but they did not ask before charging or adding the amount.I fought for a discount for the long wait and extra oil charge and was given a slight amount back.I was a Karen but waiting that long coupled with lack of communication was very frustrating.Go to Quick Lube instead. Much cheaper and faster.

I got a $20 gift card for Valvoline in the mail, and needed an oil change, so I decided to try it, figuring I could get an oil change for $30-40 instead of the $50-60 I normally pay elsewhere. I posted in a local FB group asking if people had been here and satisfied with the service, and got lots of positive comments. I wish I would've looked at the Google reviews first.After a 30 minute wait in line, I finally pulled into the garage, they scanned the barcode in my car to get the info they needed. The guy proceeded to tell me that because of my car type (2016 Chevy Malibu), the only oil they had and could use was a $93 one, but said it was the best oil and would be good for my car. That seemed a little high to me, but I was already in the garage, had waited over 30 minutes, and didn't feel like I could say no. I also figured that with the gift card, $73 wouldn't be terrible.As soon as they started working on it, I started feeling like I should've left and said no. I've gone to get oil changes at several different places and have never been told that they don't have the right oil for my car. I am a 22 year old female, and feel like I was taken advantage of because they figured I wouldn't know any better. I ended up paying $77, which would've been $97 without the gift card.I could've gone anywhere else in Holland and gotten a better price. I am disappointed with my service and won't be returning. Not to mention the fact that later the same night, my car started leaking fluid on the driveway, which it had never done prior to this oil change.Service: Oil change

Love this oil change location. I make it a point to get my oil changed here and I live outside of GR roughly 40 minutes away. Great service, very respectful and always willing to help. Highly recommend!

Wondeful and efficient service. I wish I would have caught the man's name who helped me as he was excellent. I had an oil change 7/22 around 6:45 pm. He was extremely knowledgeable and not pushy with sales. I have been getting my oil changed at various Valvoline locations for years, and this was the first time I understood (because I was taught)WHY I would want upgraded oil. As soon as I pulled up, he came out, greeted me and gave me the estimated wait time. It was VERY hot yesterday and this was the very end of their day, and I still received A plus service. Give that man a raise and have him teach other staff how to educate your customers!Service: Oil change

Gone exclusively for years to this Valvoline and never had any issues until the last time. They broke the top of my dipstick so it got stuck and wouldn't budge so they couldn't check my oil levels... they lied to me about it saying it must've been broken when I had it worked on by the dealership earlier that day, I called dealership and they showed me full video of them checking my oil with dipstick in tact. (Okay, I'm out like 15 bucks but don't lie...) They spilled oil all over my engine, and didn't put enough in. I also got my air filter changed and when I popped my trunk when I got home to inspect my dipstick, it wasn't all the way in. The manager I didn't recognize and she was a little rude and dismissive although they were busy when my car was being "worked" on. I normally don't write negative reviews but I have no idea what happened to this place. Currently searching for a better one****Forgot to mention, they didn't change my filter!Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

I took my friend from Canada here to have oil change on his 2017 F150 in November, 2021. I haven't used this place for a while but never had issues before. Friend had pulled a travel trailer and was on way to West coast. He returned to Canada after a 6 week trip.Today he told me his service shop in Ontario found their oil filter was still on the truck. They mark their filters to keep track of things. Valvoline personnel apparently did not exchange filter. The oil was dirtier than expected. I expect Valvoline to take responsibility for costs and investigate how this could happen. Was this an employee or a facility manager cause?

I have always changed my own oil and was skeptical on trying an oil change service. Everyone there was polite and friendly. They didn't have my oil filter in stock because it's a less common car but literally had a filter delivered in 3 minutes. I had never changed the engine air filter on my car yet so I asked them to go ahead and change it out. They removed the air filter and showed it to me and said it didn't need to be changed. It was still quite clean. That would have been an easy $26 for them but they instead chose to be be honest and professional. I will be back and so will my wife's car.Thanks!

Got an oil change, radiator flush, and transmission fluid exchange. Got everything done in about 30-45 minutes. Happy with the service.

Disagreeable Manager Continually Sidesteps Rotating My TiresI just wanted to get my tires rotated and some other routine maintenance done on my car. I go to Valvoline because they are fast. The manager on duty refused to rotate my tires because the front ones are worn more than the back ones. This is one reason why someone might want to rotate their tires, so I insisted on having the work done and she eventually agreed to do the rotation. After some time, she informed me that the underside of my car was too rusted out to lift the car and do the rotation. It's true that there is rust on the door frame but that shouldn't effect being able to lift it up. In any case I've never heard other auto shops complain about this making the car difficult to service. I don't need my auto servicer to be in the position of nanny with regard to my car or my safety. Advice to the shop: if you are not prepared to offer a service, don't advertise it as if you are.

"instant" oil change is a bit of a misnomer, I was there over an hour...female manager was rude, I went inside to make sure they had the oil and filter for my car (last time they had run out of oil???) and was told they operate first come first serve, she couldn't answer my question until I got to the front of the line. I will not return
