John was great...he took the time to look into what I needed and was able to order the parts for my car. They did the job for almost half of what I was quoted at the dealership. My car was done in one day.They contacted my several times to update me on the progress before my appointment.I will go there from now on and will recommend them to others.Service: Steering & suspension repair

This is one place I trust to do.right. I just had my tow vehicle updated with new rotors, pads, and calipers. In addition,I had shocks and struts, alignment, and the fluid in the transactles changed. They always provide options (You don't have to do this right now) and on occasions have charged me only $20.00 when they have checked out a.concer, but did not deem it necessary to.do.anything in the current momentGood company, I trust them

This is the only place I take my vehicles to within the Holland area. These guys are helpful, informational, honest (which I can t say that about many places), and they won t price gouge you.Many times in the past, I ve paid for an expensive repair with other places just to find out later that the original issue wasn t repaired correctly or end up with some new mysterious issues that weren t even on the radar before the so-called repair. I ve totally been taken advantage of in the past so there s only a couple of places that I ll bring my vehicles to (Maplewood and the other place is in Grand Rapids and is woman-owned).The guys here at Maplewood make you feel seen, heard and understood. I love that I can ask for an estimated ballpark on a specific repair and they actually will provide the info that they can, which is extremely helpful when trying to budget or prepare yourself for a potential big hit to your wallet. I ve also found that when comparing their quotes to others (on many repairs), their prices come out being reasonable and it s nice to be able to call and get transparency. I don t know how many other places I ve called that won t even entertain the thought of giving you any kind of ballpark estimate on the phone and most will usually tell you that they can t tell you anything at all until you bring your vehicle in. That s a huge red flag to me.If you want good, honest service with a company that s transparent and hears your concerns and validates you, this is the place that you want to bring your vehicles to.

We had to have our car towed here because the battery went dead near Holland and we are from GR. They were so kind and also up front about how long it would take to service our car. When I explained that we were paying for a rental until our car was fixed, they said they would try to squeeze it in ASAP. It took a couple of days but they kept in contact and were genuinely trying to get it in soon. The price was reasonable and they were so kind and honest. Our friend recommended this place and we are very grateful for Maplewood Auto.

Best mechanic experience I've had and certainly the best in Holland.I've been using Maplewood for a few years now since moving to the area. The two main guys that answer the phone, Tommy and I can't remember the other's name, are fantastic and their customer service is top notch. All the guys at the counter when you walk in are friendly and genuinely interested in helping you, never an attitude or snarky tone from them. The guys in back that worked on my car have always been knowledgeable and give my car great service. I use them exclusively for my car issues.

I went to Maplewood Auto for the first time and was very pleased with the service I received. I needed my alternator replaced and thought based off my dash lights that I would need some break work done. They were very honest about the work I actually needed and completed the work very quickly. The only downside was the wait time to actually get an appointment but it was worth it given the service received. They didn't charge more than they quoted and their communication was excellent.

Was having an issue with strange wear on the tires of my 2021 newer truck. They diagnosed and found it to be out of alignment and also a few other issues. They suggested I fix only 2 out of the 4 and see how things go. Did a GREAT job and the pricing was very reasonable.Service: Wheel alignmentService: Wheel alignment

We have been using Maplewood Auto since 2005. We have always been happy with their friendly service and ability to schedule us as needed. We have had everything done from routine service, tires and other engine work. They have fair pricing and I have never had a job come back more than quoted. Maplewood Auto is the only place I will ever take my car!Very professional and courteous. The guys there are super friendly and call me by name.Prices are very fair. You don t ever need to worry you are taken advantage of. I have been using Maplewood Auto since a friend referred me about five years ago. I drive hybrid vehicles exclusively and they have been amazing to work with! As a single woman with no car expertise, I always feel respected and valued. They take time to educate me and have always given me honest advice about priorities, costs, and safety needs. The very first time I used them, I couldn't pick up my car in time to pay them and they trusted me to return at a later date to pay! That kind of trust is unheard of in the car repair business! And their prices are great values! Very great practices during Covid to keep their employees and clients safe. They've helped me make decisions and have kept my 15 year old Prius running wonderfully even with 230,000 miles; I believe they'll keep it going to many more! I've tried several other repair shops in Holland over the past 30 years, but I'll never go anywhere but Maplewood now. If you have the money to pay for unexpected repairs, this place is fine. I really like the customer service workers that this shop employs, everybody is very nice and thorough. However, I have to leave a 2 star review due to the fact that twice now i have brought them my car for service to be done and something completely out of the ordinary went wrong. The first time i understood, maybe it was just a huge coincidence. But after my most recent visit (alignment and transmission service) my car magically won't start. Keep in mind i have owned my car for two years and i have NEVER had an issue with it not starting. I feel like im being taken advantage of. I will not be going back. It's a shame too because i really like the shop and have been getting my oil changes here ever since i purchased my car. Can't trust them any longer.EDIT: the owner of the company has fully addressed the problems I had with my service and I commend him for that. I left here with a bad taste in my mouth and he really seemed to care and he more than made things right. At first I said I would not return, but with customer service like this, I think I may have to reconsider. Thank you Tommy for taking care of me.

Incredibly professional group of people behind the front desk who are honest past the point of just getting you to spend money on needless repairs.My car was in and out for a few different issues within the day. The mechanics work proficiently while not overlooking the details.I drive from Grand Haven, and will continue to bring my car here for evything from oil change to engine repair. We have been getting our vehicles serviced at Maplewood Automotive for over 15 years and they have always done great work for us. The staff is very professional and personable. They take great care of their customers and the vehicles. Maplewood had replaced my clutch on my 2010 Jeep Wrangler 3 years back. Recently I was having clutch issues so I took it back to them. They were quick to get me in and explained everything in detail of what they did to resolved the problem. My car recently produced a P0016 error and started idling loudly. Suspecting a issue with the timing belt, I set out calling local mechanics to see what the repairs would cost me. Most were unwilling to give me any estimate at all until I brought it to them and paid to have them look at it (which I understand, they don't want people getting upset about the price not matching up later). Some places were more helpful than others, but Maplewood Auto really stood above the rest. Bob was very friendly and helpful over the phone. He listened to my description and suspicions about the problem and went out of his way to get me a general estimate (that ended up being quite accurate). Impressed, I decided to go with Maplewood.Since I didn't want to risk damaging the engine driving it to them, Maplewood recommended West Michigan Towing to me, which worked out well and I was pleased with their price. The repairs were finished on time and my car is running great. I felt Maplewood's price was very fair, and they even helped me with a misunderstanding I had with my power windows, free of charge. Maplewood was also very responsible in regards to the current social distancing rules in effect.I highly recommend their services. Thanks again guys!

This was my first time having my vehicle serviced with Maplewood. It will not be the last. This was a simple oil change and safety inspection, but the service was quick and I feel good value for the money. I am happy to have found a service company in my new home town.

I took my Subaru in for a break job and not only did they fix my breaks but the technician correctly identified a subtle noise that I had been hearing from somewhere in my drivetrain. It turned out to be an axle bearing and they called (with absolutely no pressure) to ask if I wanted to get it fixed too. I agreed and now my Subaru drives (and sounds) like it was new.Very impressive service and now they have a new regular customer!

When I first moved to Holland I could not find a mechanic that I could trust. I constantly dealt with shoddy mechanics and was super frustrated. Then I found Maplewood Auto and and was blown away. Not only do these guys have the expertise they are honest and won't see you something you don't need. The team at Maplewood Auto is knowledgeable and respectful. They provide you with feed back on what NEEDS to be done and what can wait. I have never felt pushed to make any repairs. They have been honest and upfront about everything. I recommend this shop to all my friends as a trustworthy shop that knows what they are doing and will not scam you.I will take my cars here for as long as i live in holland.
