Had a great experience with one of the sales guys, Ridge. I came across a truck they had for sale online, I called and Ridge answered. He listened to me, let me talk and had no issues sending me all the extra pictures I asked since I am 2 hours away. We did the majority of the deal over the phone, and when I arrived he had the truck already fully cleaned and details and in their garage ready for me to look it over. Everything checked out and I bought the truck and Ridge handled all the paperwork etc and had my plate mailed to me that next week. Great experience, thank you Ridge!

They were honest and did not tie me up for a long period of time. Friendly yet professional. I bought the car I traveled 2 1/2 hours for this car. The details the agent gave on the phone were correct in every way. I was happy they took my information on the phone. Saved time when I arrived.

Got what I wanted finally, for a reasonable price. They were honest with me and willing to deal with me on my terms which after having 3 different vehicles from a different dealership in town I had been feeling like I wasn't valued at all. I asked the Buick dealership to find me a good (affordable) used car all the way back in September and they called me back MONTHS later to tell me that they had something they wanted me to look at, but refused to tell me what kind of car it was and how much. When I explained that I was not going to pay $25,000 for a used car, and wanted what I wanted, they stopped calling me. I went to Hawkins, found what I wanted on the lot at a price I could afford, and drove away in it THAT day. Buick dealership lost my business simply because they were just too lazy to care and do the work.

The dealer who handles our purchase was very dry and made it seem like he was giving our van to us. We purchased a 2010 town and country with just over 109,000 miles. At First they were willing to fix a couple issues the van had a cracked windshield and a noise in the rear. They fixed them okay great thank you. Then I asked why they didn t fix the tire pressure sensor they ball faced lied and said it s probably just one sensor bad and they would replace it. Nope never happened. Then come to find out when I replaced the tires they had removed the sensors to save money. I was told that s not legal to sell a vehicle without them. Moving on two days after purchase I m driving to the local veggie market I pull out of my drive way and I experienced what they call a failure to up shift and was dead on the side of the road it was one of the hottest days of the year just over 103 degrees it would not shift at all mind you I m 7 months pregnant and had my other 2 babies in the car. I turn the car off to try and reset the computer thank god it worked. I call the dealer okay bring and we will have our service department look at it. Their response oh it happens we can t help you. Three weeks later I m losing radiator fluid. Call them sorry we don t sell perfect vehicles and we can t tell if there will be problems once you drive it off the lot you own it. Take it to my mechanic rear manifold gasket. Replaced it for $1200 dollars. Drive it just over 100 miles and it blew up. I didn t even get to bring my daughter home in our family vehicle. I paid 10,500 for this van with the loan on top of that $1200 for the gasket and then for a brand new crate motor to be installed with a 100000 mile warranty $5400 I had them put new oil pump and belts tune up etc. $650 dollars in rebuilding the suspension because every thing was breaking and old and needed to be replaced. They call me to ask me about my van and how my purchase was. Needless to say they will never call me again. Again I m sorry mam we can t help you and we can t determine how long a vehicle will last. So long story short I will never recommend their dealership I will continue to tell everyone and anyone who ask me or says they might go their how I was treated and the horrible experience I had.

I would never do business with this company again. I bought a car years ago from them, it started acting up. I was working for the hawkins gas station at the time, and I needed my car looked at. But they did not have time to look at it. I mentioned to the mechanic that I would never by another car from them. The next morning I was getting ready for work when his son who was the manager called me and said I need you to bring me the key, after you talked bad about dad's dealership he said i have to fire you.Wrongful termination all the way.I still remember how hard I worked for them and never have forgot getting fired for saying I would never buy another car from them.Maybe Don should have talked to me

This was by far my worst dealership experience ever and I was 53 at the time of the sale so I had dealt with a lot of dealerships over my lifetime. Would love to give them a zero star but I can't. They were fantastic until the sale was complete and then horrible after that. Looked at two different trucks. One had the check engine light on upon startup. The second came on during a test drive. Was told they would correct the problem. Spent about three months getting anywhere with them on this issue and then had the audacity to claim the fault in getting it fixed was a local mechanic they subcontracted with. He was very good and was not the issue. It was Hawkins. I finally got the part all on my own that needed replaced, which they said they could not get, and had it put on myself by a mechanic. Hawkins paid the installation fee and that was all. Beware of this place as they are far from respectable.

In March of 2020, Hawkins Motors sold me a 2015 Ford F-250 Super Duty Reg. cab, long bed truck. I went to pick the truck up as I live 6 hours away. I drove it around the block and didn't notice anything odd except the turn signal had a fast blinker but there was no bulbs out in any lights. I asked Hawkins Motors about it and they said they would have their tech look at it. While I did paperwork the tech came in and said it was all done.I took possession of the truck and began the long trip home. After about an hour on the road driving home, I noticed the dash lights started to dim and brighten. Later in the drive, I noticed my cell phone wasn't charging and discovered the charging outlet was fully rusted...both of them.I stopped to inspect closer, and ultimately found a water line around the truck at the top of the dash around the cab of the truck. It was apparent this was a flood truck. I was too far away and it was too late in the afternoon to try to take it back as they were already closed. The following Monday, I took the truck to two (2) highly respected auto body shops, and to two (2) respected auto dealerships. I did not disclose my findings to any of the estimators looking over the truck. All four (4) said that it appeared the truck had a significant amount of water damage.I contacted Hawkins Motors to discuss the issue as it is illegal to sell a flood vehicle without disclosing it. I explained that since I picked up the truck almost all the electrical had gone out. I asked Hawkins Motors to make this situation right as it had only been a week.Mr. Hawkins took an extremely long time to get back to me, but finally told me he didn't believe it to be a flood truck, that the Carfax doesn't show it to be a flood truck... so he doesn't believe me that it is a flood truck. He said he sold it to me as is, and there was nothing he would do from me. Upon this response I contacted the local BBB and Mr. Hawkins stood his ground that he would not do anything to help with the flood truck.I have now been losing income for my business while spending over $2,000 already with a local mechanic trying to get it street legal. Mr. Hawkins is reaping the benefits of conning a small business owner into buying an flood truck. Buyer Beware!!

MY TRUCK RUSTED OUT LESS THAT A YEAR AFTER BUYING IT... And needed new brakes. New muffler. New tires. Told me you bought a used truck what do you expect! Also there car "WARRANTY" affiliate has called me every other day for the past 9 months! I ask to be taken off there call list and they hang up on me. Its all a big scam. Update: if you are not affiliated with any car warranty company why did you have me sit down with a another person from your company I believe it was the owner's granddaughter and give me a whole spiel about a car warranty? Pushed it several times as a matter of fact. A week later I started getting car warranty messages I have never received in my life before.... Also you should see my truck now only a few years later and mi running boards have fallen right off. My truck looks like Swiss cheese.

Contacted Don through Auto Trader. Traveled 130 miles to review whole fleet of cargo vans. had my pick of the litter (pun here) and once I had 2 cargo vans selected , Don put them in his shop for complete detailing. Also delivered to my door step 2 days later. Great experience. Would not buy from any one else. Highly recommend Don Hawkins for cargo vans. Very professional.

Made an hour trip to look at a truck they didn't even have on the lot and after talking with them that morning they said it was there. I did buy another truck from them but that was a BIG mistake. The oil was black, tires where bald and two leaking air and low tire pressure light was on also Check suspension light was on. After checking brake pads, the backs where almost down to the metal and front had less then 10%. When talking to the manager about price and work the truck needed all he wanted to do is cry about how much he had into the truck like it was my fault. How can they sell junk like this. Save yourself a big headache don't waste your time at this dealer.

Don Hawkins has helped my family find great cars for them for 50 years. My father has always been satisfied with what he purchases here. In addition, if there's anything wrong, Don has has made things right. These are the good people you look for when buying a vehicle.

I bought my 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 from Hawkins about a month ago and I gotta say I am tickled pink with it. I love my truck and Dick Smith at Hawkins was a FANTASTIC man to deal with. I walked in told them what my budget was and they went the extra mile to get me in this truck at my price. I would absolutely recommend to anyone!!! Talk to Dick Smith if your looking for a very laid back, easy to deal with salesman. Thank you Hawkins motor sales!

I had been searching for a bike, a Suzuki Burgman 400, for a few months with no luck. I finally came across Hawkins Motor Sales on the internet and gave them a call. To make a long story short, the owner, Gary, gave me a great deal on my dream bike. The whole staff was very friendly, sociable and helpful. The buying experience was great. Gary and another guy even helped me load the bike onto the back of my truck and he let me borrow a strap to secure the bike for the long haul home. I will definitely come back when I decide to purchase my truck. If you're looking for a good deal on some nice wheels, I highly recommend Hawkins Auto Sales.

My husband bought a 2010 Ford platinum back in July they were willing to fix a couple of issues. Said they were going to fix the sunroof and was in the shop for a few days, still not fixed. Promised a hub cover, still don't have it.It has been in the shop multiple times since then. $3,000 later. Buyer beware!!! They buy flood victims ..Just an aweful company!

Jim McCormick and his team were wonderful to deal with. The first vehicle I looked at was a little out of my price range, and I ultimately purchased my vehicle from another place (just found the right vehicle at the right time in my area), but the research they did and the effort they put in were much appreciated. I would recommend these guys to anyone!

The Owner Don Hawinks misrepresented the vehicle he sold to me. Don will tell you everything is good with the vehicle? Don delivered a vehicle needing multiple repairs," 4 dry-rotted tires, 2 exhaust manifold leaks, hard steering gear, brake caliper seized." Over 5k in repairs! Don would not help, I will need to go to the DMV with a complaint. No resolve.

I contacted Hawkins about a truck. Jim McCormick responded to my inquiry. Jim was very nice to work with and represented the truck I was interested very well. I had a long drive to get there and he looked the vehicle over closely for me before I made the trip. Although I did not buy the truck I'd definitely call on Jim for assistance in the future.

I took a 7 hr train ride and a 1 1/2 car ride to buy a truck that I was told had nothing wrong with it. From all the pictures ever thing looked good. When I got there the truck was running, on empty and dash said oil change required. I drove the truck seemed to be a good truck besides the fact that it needed a oil change and it being on dead empty. Drove 8 hrs home the next day it wouldn't start. I took it to the shop and was told it needed two new batteries $300 oil change $100 and then found out it is leaking oil. Could be major, could be as simple as a o ring which is common. But after four phone calls three left messages left and several calls to the sales man that I dealt with who was a pretty nice guy I must say I got no where . not a single call from this owner KC.NOt to mention they never disclosed all these things to me before I left NY and to top it all off they never said they didn't have the administrative KEy to take the MY Key feature off the truck which has the truck governed at 80 mph and wont let me turn the radio up over 49% which is going to cost me another $140. I wouldn't send anyone to this unprofessional (shady) dealership I expect this kind of thing from a private sale on craigslist not a dealer. Am I upset. You bet I am .

Drive 2.5 hours to look at a truck that they already sold. Didn't even bother to let us know would rate 0 if I could. Also waited 45 min before anyone even took the time to confirm that the truck was indeed sold days ago.. what's the point of making an appointment if they sell what you're looking at.

Total junk thats what this place sells they knew the truck they sold had major problems but didnt care. All they cared about is getting my money. They should have sold it back at the auction they hought it from. Just got it back from my mechanic he said Transmission has shifting issues, engine running rough, engine light is on also leaks and burns oil, tires where bald, struts bad and radio not working. Now I can't give this piece of junk away! Thanks, HawkLiers motors.

Bought a truck here in 2013. It was an older truck, (97) but very clean and well kept. It only had 62000 miles on it. Exactly what i was looking for.In the past three years i have put head gaskets, timing cover gasket, brake lines, and various other things i dont consider normal maintence. Ive put 20000 miles on the truck and now its got a main bearing knock and shavings in the oil. So by the time i fix that ill have 4k or so in repairs.Steer clear of this place

I called Hawkins salesman and asked if 2010 truck had rust and if price was negotiable. He said no rust and price was negotiable. I drove two and a half hours one way to find rust, although painted over somewhat, windows didn't work properly, and it had an exhaust leak, and the price wouldn't budge even a dollar. He said when I asked about rust, it didn't compared to some trucks. Rust is rust.

Buyer beware!!!On May 8th my husband bought a Ford F-150 and paid over $9,200 with trade-in. The front and rear differential has to be replaced, all the fluid lines have to be replaced, had a steering fluid leak and needs the steering pump and the rack and pinion replaced. It is still in the shop, at a cost of of over $3,000 to fix!If you don't mind throwing you're hard earned money away, buy from Hawkins dealership in Hillsdale. If not Don't Shop There!!!

They didn't follow through with the GAP coverage that I had purchased for $800 @ 0.04 apr. when it came time to use it after an accident that caused total loss to my truck. They just refunded a prorated amount. Now, I owe $3300 on a truck that probably in the shredder!!!!

Great place. They try to work with whatever your needs are. See Gary, he will meet all your needs. He will work with your credit and if the car is not on the lot, he will work to find it.
