Great experience at Gillette's!! My mom and I worked with our salesperson Jacob and the general manager, Richie. Before purchase, we had the chance to go through the RV and pointed out any small defects we found, which are pretty much a given since they are never manufactured to perfection. Gillette's service crew was more than willing to make the fixes we noted, just wanting us to be happy with the product. It's rare to find a dealership that doesn't have some covert pricing or sales tactics that make your skin crawl. Happily didn't find that here, and instead, came across some very candid and helpful people who just wanted us to get the product and deal that worked best for us.Thank you Gillette's for the clear communication and smooth follow-through on such an important purchase like this one!!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! We drive over 100 miles for service and yet there's a major RV dealer within 10 min of our house. Service is beyond stellar. Kris in service is by far the best person we have ever worked with since owning a camper. She is not only so very friendly, but helpful and knows what she is talking about when it comes to issues we have had with our camper. Matt is the service manager and he is so thorough and on top of things that we wouldn't go anywhere else. Service prices are so reasonable. You can buy an RV anywhere but we go wherever the service is great. Happy customers are repeat customers!!!! Wouldn't recommend anywhere else!!!!

The folks at Gillette's are honest, caring, and overall amazing! This was our first RV purchase and Matt went above and beyond to help us get financing for our 2024 Jayco Jay Flight. To top it off, the service department is top notch! Chris and the crew had us in and out within hours for a fairly significant repair and even made it a point to save us a little money!Thank you Gillette's!

This was a sad and disappointing experience for us. Whatever you do don't pay extra for the ceramic coating when buying a used camper from this location. From our experience... a part of their " great quality service" was to clean and detail prior to coating. Not true. The camper we purchased was not clean the day we came to pick it up (One week after we visited Gillette RV). We payed for the "coating" $860 ... Very disappointed. The person "they say" inspected our camper for any "issues" prior to purchase was on "vacation" so no report from inspection was ever given. When we brought our camper home found a crack in the skylight that had been taped. When we expressed our concern and disappointment of the cleanliness on day of picking up of the camper, the salesperson just passed the buck from one person to another. Would not recommend this RV establishment.

Stopped in today with a couple of questions and was so happy to learn that there is a new general manager! Huge improvement, Richie & Todd have earned back my business. Highly recommend them. If you are just curious about a rig and thought about dropping in to take a peek inside- well, you won t feel pressured or intimidated at all.Very happy to have a great dealer again, 5 stars for sure

Sold me a used camper and lead me to believe there wasn t any issues with it. The weather got better and I discovered the floor was full of water damage and black mold. The whole thing is a health hazard and needs serious repairs to be livable. They mislead me into buying a terrible camper. I feel like I have been lied to and cheated. DO NOT BUY USED CAMPER FROM HERE.

We bought a used camper back in March of 2023. In November we went to get it resealed and winterized and found out that there was extensive water damage to the trailer. These issues were never disclosed when we purchased the camper. It was presented as in good working order. We have tried multiple times and ways to contacts the general manager with no response. This is the most disappointing thing for our family, that we spent significant money on a trailer that is unusable. With the water damage I m sure there is mold involved as well which also went undisclosed. Please avoid buying or from patronizing this business if you can. We understand that issues happen but the unprofessional lack of response is not acceptable.

Hubbs is on a mission to buy a new camper & Gillettes is close to us so in the car we went.We looked around for awhile and went inside so he could talk to a salesperson.Ryan was our guy. He is a very engaging, funny and all around nice guy-good salesman too.He interviewed us to find out what we were looking at, future purposes, family size etc. He was very knowledgeable about the products Gillette s has, but also other brands. No high pressure sales, no swindle talk, just straight up honest & professional.Even with a camper shortage, there were several campers on-site.

Had a great experience with Tony and Richie. Really helpful throughout the whole process. They helped make sure everything worked and my vehicle was set up for success.

BUYER BEWARE!!If you do not want after the sale service, or any help with issues then go ahead and buy here. If you want after the sale service or any help there after DON'T BUY HERE!! We bought a 2020 Jayco Fifth wheel here and needed warranty work completed, no calls or emails back after multiple attempts for warranty work. Fast forward to September 4th of this year when our camper was a total loss after a collision and we needed help with our gap insurance and I couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. So I drove over an hour to speak with someone to get the help I needed. Now our gap claim is probably not going to get paid because they are not prorating a a refund for an extended service plan that we needed canceled per the gap insurance requirements. I hope this review helps someone not make the same mistake we did...

We recently moved to the area and have greatly appreciated the service department. We have needed both mechanical and maintenance work done on our E-Pro Trailer. The Service Department Team has been great to work with. We ve be very pleased with the communication and quality of work.

We bought a new fifth wheel from Gillette's back in June and took delivery the first week in October. We did not get a walkthrough or setup of the technology. Three months later and we have yet to watch the tv. I just got the router connected this week.

Ownership did finally respond to this review but it was almost 4 months after I was there. Look below and see the 1-star ratings. Go to TerryTown in Grand Rapids instead, don't buy here, they never give a good deal, they will stay fat and happy and you will pay $15k-$20k more, more than just about anywhere else. I tried to buy a $130,000 fifth wheel but when I setup an appointment to come and see their inventory I found out that they lied about what units were available, instead of 6 units to look at they only had 2 and we drove 1.5 hours to get there. I had been texting with our salesman (Ryan) for weeks after our visit trying to find out if a deal could be done, in the end he told me THEY COULD NOT take in a trade and give a good deal, REALLY??? The salesman texted exactly that to me. If you are doing a "trade-in", they will offer THE LEAST AMOUNT for it, ALL OTHER DEALERS in Southern MI (TerryTown, General RV, Camping World, All Seasons, Lakeshore RV, Bishs) ALL HAD BETTER OFFERS than these guys. But if you want to pay CONSIDERABLY more and don't have a trade in, THEN THESE ARE YOUR GUYS !!!! I gave them a 1 rating because zero was not a choice. And FYI, my credit score was 800 plus and my yearly income around $200k a year so I was a well qualified buyer. I bought mine at Terrytown in Grand Rapids they easily met my deal requirements and offer the best service capability. And I see at least 1 more 1-star buying experience (1-month ago) where instead of trying to make a deal for the 5th wheel buyer they told him they would give them their deposit back.

Tried calling to speak to the manager multiple times and never was able to get ahold of him. And the communication with the sales guy was very poor. Very disappointing when trying to purchase a trailer from almost 3 hours away.

Do not buy an rv from this place! They lie about issues with an rv and then when you discover how bad the rv is they will not make it right. Black mold!

Drove all the way from ohio because they were such good people that gave us good service and actually gave us what we wanted for our trade when everyone else insulted us. Cant say enough good about salesman DJ. Great service, attitude, and communication. Overall great experience and would recommend anytime. Very happy

I was set to purchase a travel trailer at another dealer but thought I would stop at Gillette's to see what was on the lot. The sales person showed me a Jayco in the size and model I was looking for and immediately I was sold by the quality, layout, and attention to detail for about the same price.

Thank you for helping us purchase our new Jayco. We found the trailer displayed at at RV show in Lansing MI; we fell in love with the Jayco Jay Flight SLX 195rb.Both Dan and Ryan working at the show were very friendly, helpful and amazing. We were able to put a down payment there, and pick up our new trailer about 2 weeks later. Our showroom rep at the dealer was Ryan K. He met us at the door and was very friendly, a bit disorganized perhaps as he had us in the financial office to sign before we did our walk-through inspection. I had also specifically asked him on the phone what size trailer ball we needed and he told me 2 5/16, which I ordered before going to pick it up. To later be told it was a 2 inch ball by Jared. Ryan denied telling me the wrong size at first. As a result we had to purchase a 2in ball from them. Would have been appreciated if Ryan had offered to cover the cost as the original purchase was made based on what he told us. The trailer had been washed and the vent cover we asked to be added was installed. They did have to change out the water heater cover as it was bent which they did at no charge. The inside was clean, yet there was some drops of the winterization fluid left in the tub and sink.Jared in the prep area was very nice and helped us get hooked up and underway. Only question we will be calling about is whether or not we were supposed to get a wheel to go under the hitch along with the flat plate. Hoping if the wheel was forgotten it can be shipped to us, as we live 2 hours from the dealer.Mike W in the finance department was great. Explained available options and got everything squared away for financing. Thank you everyone for assisting us.

We recently purchased a used truck camper from Gillette s. We live in Tennessee and had to rely on the photos supplied in the for sale ad and also on the word of Brian, our salesman. So somewhat nervously, we paid a deposit and then waited while our truck was prepared here in Tennessee. A month later, we made the 500 mile trip up to Gillette s.We could not have been happier with our experience there. Not only was the camper ready, prepped, and waiting, but two men in the service department, John and Mark, generously spent lots of time with us newbies and made sure every question was answered. Brian also did not disappoint. The camper was even better than he described. Even Kyle in accounting managed to find a creative way to make us especially happy.Often times, good experiences go unrecognized. But not this time. Thank you, Gillette s!

Bought a used 2017 Crusader 5th wheel in April. Still have not received a title for it. Now some 3 mnths later. !!! All I have gotten is excusses and lies. Was told over 2 weeks ago I would have it in the mail last week. Never got it. My bank is calling me and sending me letters asking for the title. We live in Ohio. Was told last Friday I would have the title today. More excusses. So I asked if I could come pick it up at their location. 1 hr and 15 minutes, from the campground where it is permanently parked. No, they can't do that.....but they can deliver a camper anywhere in the United States. !!! I am getting no answers as to why I have not received a title. I am beyond frustrated !!! My sales guy also told me he spent over and hour cleaning the camper prior to us picking it up. I found this mess behind the couch/bed in the 1/2 bunk room. I guess the salesman overlooked moving it to do a thorough cleaning. This consisted of feminine products, underwear , a 1/2 full bottle of orange juice, an opened box of cookies, candy, pink pills. !!!! I would not suggest buying anything from Gillette Rv. One very unhappy customer.

Very disappointed and frustrated with Gillette! We were attempting to purchase an RV and put down a $500 deposit to hold our chosen RV while the bank was reviewing our application. After the bank responded with their offer we had to decline it because it contained too harsh of terms for our current financial situation. We were informed by Gillette that they would refund our deposit of $500 (that was in June). I have called multiple times and each time I am told it will be completed or that their GM is on vacation and he will approve when he gets back. However, each time I call back to check on it I get another excuse or empty promise that it will be done. Starting to wonder if the GM is even a real person or is it just a way for them to avoid refunding anyone's money. I would avoid putting down a payment with Gillette if you are concerned about ever getting it back...also it is concerning that they continue to lie about $500...one would think that amount of money would not be so difficult for them to refund...makes one wonder if possibly they are struggling financially. Hopefully I can get my money soon!

I cannot say enough good things about Gillette's RV! After a disaster of a day at Bish's in Coldwater, I reached out looking for a specific camper that Gillette's had on their lot. They were incredibly fast, efficient, and when I arrived to purchase my camper, Stuart, Alec, and Kyle were all EXCEPTIONAL to deal with! Not only that, my camper was BEYOND clean, prepped, and ready for me. They take great care in what they do, and it shows. I can't wait to purchase another RV from them!

Update to the update. I am very pleased with the customer service as it ended up. The salesman reached back out prior to my getting into the appointment to follow up. The Service Mgr. was extremely helpful and friendly. There was a minimal cost for some of the repairs but not for the leak from the window. He also cut some costs involved.*UPDATE* The salesman reached out and arranged to have my issues addressed. They have shown professionalism at this point. I will edit my reviews as the process goes on.Owned trailer less than a month, several issues already(including water coming in! and awning not retracting properly). Salesman won't respond back, becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the lack of customer service. 3 stars may go even lower. Only response was my trade in year was wrong. Nothing was said when we signed the papers, I mean they had the title in their hands. Not sure what happened or what that has to do with the issues I have brought forward.

**UPDATE**After this review was posted, Gillette's had replied to it stating that someone would be contacting me about these issues....nope, just another lie.Additionally, the service manager assured me they would be sending me brand new puck lights to replace the used ones they sent me......also another lie.Huge mistake buying a new RV from Gillettes, sales went well but when it came to the service..oh boy, it's like the owners, managers and sales reps all brought their children to work, put them in a room and called it the service department, that's how inexperienced, unknowledgable and flat out lazy these guys are, 9 months! Thats how long it took them to fix 7 puck lights, one leaky window seal, a huge gaping hole directly underneath the goose neck drain of my bathtub that leaks right into the insulation and wood frame, A gaping hole in the wall where the slide out was cut out during manufacturing(it looks like someone lost control of the jigsaw that they were using) a leaking propane tank pigtail connector, broken refrigerator door latch and some sort of fluid oozing out of every spot where there was a nail in the interior trim. 9 Months they had my RV and the only thing they fixed was the leaking seal on the window, 3 of the 7 Puck lights, the refrigerator door handle(which broke again two days later) & the pigtail, they ran the clock out on my warranty with their procrastination and constant lies about waiting on repair authorizations that Jayco themselves said they never filed or were just not even required or part orders that Jayco confirmed were never placed. This was 2 years ago now, fast forward to just the last couple weeks and they finally sent me the rest of the puck lights although I received used puck lights and Jayco confirms that they didn't order them from them and that Jayco doesn't stick used parts nor do they send used parts to dealerships or retailers, so another lie from Gillette's. I would just steer clear of this place altogether it's a headache nothing but a headache.

This was our first time purchasing from Gillette s and the entire experience was terrible. If there was another option locally to get the trailer we wanted we would have absolutely gone there. Although the sales rep did a decent job, their level of communication wasn t the best for a purchasing decision. After 4 months we finally decided to not wait on a trailer that was supposed to be delivered 3 months prior and began the buying process. This was when their finance department became extremely difficult and extremely rude about finalizing our purchase. Their sales manager became rude and offensive to my wife when we had a simple request of not being there together to sign paperwork due to current situations. He challenged her on the phone and said what s the big deal , so unprofessional. I received a call from their GM after I made a complaint to my sales rep. Come to find out our request was a normal and an easily accommodating request and there was no reason for the finance manager to be so rude and deny our simple request. Now I show up to finalize the purchase and waited close to 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. And even though I paid (just like you will) $1,000 for prep work I went through the trailer to find 2 drawers and a storage door that didn t work properly. Very simple finds and can t believe their service team would overlook. Glad it cost $1,000 for that. Finance manager though this process could care less, really acted like I was an inconvenience to him. Probably because we complained about his extreme rudeness and lack of professionalism. Finally time to hook up with the new weight distribution system they installed. Service rep came out and helped connect, I asked about it being properly set up since I ve been hauling trailers for over 20 years and it didn t look right. He seemed very impatient and said it looks fine. Well, it s not and I will have to make adjustments personally because the back of the truck sags more than the front and it is not level. I told them that and they didn t care. Reference, I have a 2021 GMC 2500, plenty of truck for an 8,000lb trailer. No walk through from anyone, the sales rep tried but don t really think it s his job. Had a question on water heater as it is a gas/electric unit and he didn t even know it was electric while looking directly at it.Overall, just very unpleased with their level of care, knowledge and appreciation for a new client. Find another dealer if at all possible. I will go out of my way in the future to find what I want as well as get this unit serviced elsewhere.

Update 6-10-19. Had a little issue with the unit and Mike jumped right in and made sure all was taken care of. Good salespeople do exist after the sale. Thanks again Mike.Absolutely the best sales experience you will find.Traveled 100 plus miles and several dealerships later to find the perfect deal. No pressure and very easy going. Mike Taravella made it a VERY professional experience especially when he sent a live video walk around and waited until after hours until my family was all together to see the new camper. Well worth the travel and the price was the best by a good margin. Thanks Mike!

Gillette's is listed by Dometic as the closest RV dealer to me in Mid-Michigan as a "certified repair facility" for Dometic travel trailer water heaters. I called Gillette to see what their repair backlog is to get an estimate on how long I'd need to wait for a repair. Once on the phone with their Service Department, he said: "we only service units that were purchased here". While I appreciate the honesty, I also appreciate the validation of previously deciding not buy from Gillette's based on your reputation locally. It amazes me that dealerships don't understand that quite often the only deciding factor between buying from one dealer or another is your service. Some do understand this, which is why I purchased elsewhere.

Great place. Called to see if they would trade in our current motorhome, they made us an offer we accepted. They pulled the 5th wheel we were trading in for from out of state at no cost to us, got us financed and delivered to us all within 3 weeks. Our salesperson Mike Ballard was great to work with. Everything all done on the phone and in quick time-frame. You want speedy turnaround time this is the place to go. Thank you for everything!
