I purchased a reverse for my Harley and it was probably one of the best investments I made for my Harley. We go to Sturgis every year and there are a few bars that the parking is soft grass everywhere,It's so bad they have hired guys that actually help push the bikes in the spots because no one can muscle the bike backwards in soft wet grass, I don't care if your 9 foot tall and weigh 600lbs you are not going to muscle a 1000 lb bike backwards whole your sitting on it in soft wet grass or heavy loose gravel, So now that I have the reverse I don't need any help, I pull up in the yard have wife get off bike put the Harley in reverse and slowly hit the throttle and away I go, everyone is looking at me before hand thinking how is this dude going to muscle that bike backwards, Then the baker reverse majack happens..

The Baker team have been nothing but the highest of quality.I sent my product back for warranty and they had no dramas with repairing the issues and the communication was unbelievably.I couldn t recommend this product or the team that produced it. 10/10Cheers Josh

STAY FAR AWAY!!!! If I could give them a negative review I would. This company does not stand behind their product and the customer service is the worst i have ever came across. Purchased DD7 got 20 miles, did a replacement grudge box got 50 miles, the third time sent case to them and baker tech built transmission guess what I got 20 miles this time my bike locked up almost causing me to crash. Just garbage! To get your money back from the place is a total nightmare!! They refuse to communicate and make it right with there customers!Update: 7.29.2022 Lisa Baker reached out directly to us and was able to make things right with our transactions. Lisa was very friendly , quick to resolve the issues, communicated with us every day until it was corrected. We hope to someday try their product again in hopes it will prove this experience wrong. Thank you again Lisa for assisting us and taking great care of us.

Warning!!!!! "Want some good advice",stay away from Baker transmissions they are rubbish and manufacture a very poor product, definitely don't stand by there product warranty.very sad to see such poor quality come from the states as one would expect comming from the states it would be the best quality and strength in the world.l could write paragraphs here with phone calls and emails to that JT and Matt they are just time wasters

Baker drivetrain bad@$$ customer service. Had a stud bolt snap on me during install on an attitude adjuster manual chain tensioner (can't have great bolts everytime). It happens. JT from Baker got me through the warranty process over email. They had me ship the adjuster up to their facility in Michigan, and once they received it, they shipped me a replacement with two day FedEx shipping. Came in clutch for sure. Thanks again Baker Drivetrain Team for coming through on that. Will most likely do their compensator in the future.

KP helped me out over the phone. Was spot on and got me situated. He went through my order. As always, I needed this part yesterday. He said let me call you back to check on the shipping and get it to them so it goes out tomorrow.Called me back and said, it ll go out today. Made the pick up deadline. He hand delivered it to the shipping dept. got an email from shipping that it s on the way.Couldn t have been more helpful and taken care of things better

It is hard to get any help with their product here in Europe but they were very helpfull and ready to help though I was going to buy only very cheap part. Very quick email responses. I highly appreciate and gige 100%. Greetings from Prague and thank you for your assistance.

Called Baker to order an OD6 and spoke with the receptionist. She put me on hold and then came back to tell me that someone would call me back shortly. After about a 10 minute wait, a salesman called and took my order. He guaranteed me that I would receive the parts within 2 weeks and they actually arrived in 6 days. Excellent customer service and help in determining exactly what I wanted to purchase. The best part is that the builders kit came with a new comp, sprocket and chain as part of the kit. What a fantastic way of receiving the new trans along with all of the other parts that should be replaced as well. Can't wait to see how it performs. Thanks to everyone at Baker for an excellent purchasing experience, especially during the pandemic!

I have many motorcycle performance parts, and many experiences with vendors I recently sent my Baker Grudgebox in for inspection and any repairs required. The customer service i received prior to sending it and thru the process was without a doubt the best and most efficient Customer Service I have witnessed. Over the years I have dealt with Bakers Customer service many times for myself and on others behalf. I have always received great service. Baker Drivetrains Management and Personnel set the standard for exceptional customer service in my opinion

They have such junk transmissions dd7, grudgebox, all junk, I did 3 of them before I called it quits. 2 of the transmissions locked up on me, they said it was installed wrong so I had them build the 3rd one and it also went bad and locked up on me. Baker won't call me or talk to me or respond to emails. Very poor communication and work quality. DON'T BUY BAKER TRANSMISSION JUNK. I paid for 3 installs and 3 times for gaskets and oil, I'm starting my legal documents to recover some or all of my money from this junk product.Update: so after Lisa baker and I talking she resolved my issue with baker, I am very happy with the outcome of the problem that we was having. Thank you Lisa baker for reaching out to me.Update: Lisa baker called me today and we talked for about 20 minutes, she said she will try to get this resolved. I ll update this again when I hear something.

Purchased one of their attitude adjusters and installed it on my bike. About 500 miles later I hear noise from the primary. I open it back up and see that the adjuster outer support bracket is in three pieces.I call Linda to see if i can get it replaced under warranty and she says that Lisa the owner will not cover it even though its only a month out of warranty.I order that parts anyway and Linda keeps asking me if I need the main bracket also. I tell her no it looks fine. So I receive the new shoe and new outer support bracket and what do you know the new bracket is much beefier than the previous one and even the previous one was an upgrade from the original design. So knowing they have a problem with their product they will not budge on the warranty period or take care of you.I go to install the new parts and see that the main bracket is indeed bent. No wonder Linda kept asking me if I needed that too because they know its a problem once again.I get back on the phone with Linda to order the main bracket and she tells me they are out of that part for several weeks. (Must of had to send out a bunch of replacements)Have to get the bike back on the road so I purchased the original tensioner from the dealer and it works fine.I call Linda back to see if I can talk to Lisa and explain the situation and she gives me her email. So i emailed her about my concerns on their product and its been several months and haven't heard back from her. Threw the old broken part in the trash along with the new replacement parts. They make inferior product and have the purchaser do the R&D so they can upgrade it and it still doesn't work. LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE! I will never buy another product from this company again.

Weld broke on shifter arm. Called the company. Their welds aren t under warranty if my trans was still under warranty anyways. Was told welds break. I agree, bad welds break. Just one more bad review for this company with a ton of bad reviews. Photos coming soon

I had a Ultima 6 speed gearbox, and decided to put a Baker builders kit into it with a N1 shift drum. It is awesome, so quiet, smooth and totally love the N1. Took just a bit to get used to, don't have to reach down to the shift lever anymore to find neutral. The Ultima gearset was real noisy, sometimes I didn't want to put it into 6th gear because the noise sounded like a jet engine whine and it made me nervous. The Baker gear set again is so quiet and smooth, best thing I ever did. You guys rock !!!

I've had my DD6 Builders Kit since 2006. A local shop, Chaos Customs, is rebuilding my bike and we decided to take advantage of Baker's rebuild offer. Sent it off in a home-made wooden crate and got it back 2 weeks later like new, in a Baker box. It looks like they replaced all the gears, updated the forks, included new main bearing and seals. For $795, this is really a good deal and they do a GREAT job. While I was at it I bought the 1+ oil Pan. I love Baker Drivetrain.

Ive only ever ordered off them 2 times and the first time they sent the wrong gear which was my fault but because they were nice i decided to pay the extra 30 some odd bucks for the part and the 20 something for shipping and go through them instead of going through the ebay seller i normally go through. I called the guy was nice i asked if i should order online he said he could update my info and process my order himself so i gave him my new address and my new number and he said I'd get an email so i waited. I called baker and turns out the adress is the wrong one and he never updated the number so the parts been at the ups less then 30 minutes away from my house for the last few days and nobodys been able to notify me because the numbers wrong and the adress has 2 numbers swapped out so i called ups and they said because they called them to fix the address i cant pick it up in person so i have to wait another few days for the part to come. Now lets get this straight I like the people in their parts department enough to pay a little extra but the shipping needs work
