I was in an accident and the passenger side of my jeep was in pretty bad shape. I brought it to the shop and John worked with my insurance (who did NOT make the process easy for any of us). John negotiated with them, as frustrating as I m sure it was. They did a fantastic job fixing my jeep. I didn t purchase the jeep there, but I will purchase my next vehicle from Northern Auto. They ve always been good to me.

I was in town on a short vacation. The battery in my truck died. They replaced it in no time at all. I was dreading losing play day getting the truck taken care of. Not to worry. They were done before the coffee even cooled off.

I purchased a 2015 Chrysler Town and Country van. They sold me the van with bald tires, dirty interior, and did not do any maintenance to it. I had to have Fine Line Tire fix a few issues with the tires/brakes. I told them something wasn t right but they said they looked at it. And then my hubby test drove it and told the guy to look it again. They never did. Of course sold me the van as is. So they wouldn t have to cover anything. So with this being said, I will not do any more business with Northern Auto.

We have had two experiences with Northern Auto and do not recommend. Both times they have treated us like they don t need our business and make us wish there were another Dodge dealer in town. Their prices are also very steep- it was over $100 just to have them check out the vehicle (not fix anything) and they make you pay the service fee for using a credit card. Wowza!

The service department is great, they may be understaffed at times but with them being a small town dealership they'll work with you to get anything done you need as best they can. It may require a repeat visit but they always get it right. Sometimes they may forget to give you a call back but if you call them they'll always answer. I'm not a huge fan of the old loaner vehicles but they serve their purpose. The sales department also has very nice and courteous employees. Stick around and get to know all of them they're the best in the U.P. IMO.

Couple of years ago, I took my car for repair. Even though I told them what the problem was, they did not check what I told and it took 3 months for them to find out the problem. In addition, when I got the car back, I realized that they broke the remote start and they did not fix it.Despite having doubts, I went there couple of days ago for buying a used car. They let me drive and take the car to a mechanic for a check. The mechanic told me the car needs ~1800$ of repair. I told Northern Auto about this and asked them to reduce the price. Their response was incredible. They told they won't and they will even increase the price of the car.I am never going there again.

They seem to do quality work, though are slow and bad at estimating time (e.g. for a recall repair, I was told 1-2 hours when I scheduled the appointment, but waited 3.5 hours in their waiting room, only getting updates when I asked). Further, it was extremely annoying to hear a loud/obnoxious online auction blaring from the computer speakers of one of the sales offices. Moral of the story: do not wait for the service - strongly consider asking for a ride or requesting a loaner vehicle.

They have always taken amazing care of me, squeezing me in last minute (even when it s my own fault waiting until the last second for services). They are a great staff and do whatever they can to take care of their customers. Best service I have ever had from a dealership!

This place was incredibly helpful. We were traveling and a brake line broke, they went out of their way to help us get back on the road. I highly recommend them. Very professional, great customer service. Thank you John Ylitalo!!

The worst dealer you can imagine. My car was under warranty but they never check my car for anything expect what I asked them. My rear wheels brakes did not work for months but they never checked it until I figured out when I took my car for tire rotation somewhere else and I had to pay $$$ for caliper damage and brakes and etc.

Excellent service, customer-friendly staff, you get value for your money, it's a place to fix your Dodge, Ram, Jeep, and Chrysler if you find yourself around the Houghton area.

Our 2015 Honda Odessey threw a "Check Engine" light at only 68K miles coming back to Houghton from Copper Harbor.The only Honda dealership in all of UP was booked up for 2 weeks! Where do I go with a Japanese car for diagnosis & repair??My wife's friends (Paul Bianucci) recommended Northern Driveline / Jerry's Transmission shop. We had AAA tow our van to Northern Driveline. I got there early...Andy was opening the shop and came immediately to scan engine light codes. P0303 came up - they found a carboned up sparkplug with missing porcelain. It was replaced and I was able to drive 800 miles home! And they fit me in although they were busy.This shop has professional trained mechanics & top diagnosis tools. They specialize in transmission repair.I was impressed by the clean and neatly organized shop. I'm a home mechanic with 40 yrs DIY experience.
