As a woman it s quite intimating to go to a mechanic. But Grayling Care Care completely eliminated my concerns. I took my vehicle in for a brake check (38,000 miles) as I heard a sound that made me believe I may need brakes. From the time I arrived staff was friendly and helpful. After almost an hour of checking brakes front and rear, fluids, I was told my car was in excellent condition and did not need a thing. It was just sand. They rotated my tires and charged me $15. For the entire time. I felt guilty and offered to pay more for their time but they refused. Such a good experience! Thank you Grayling Car Care, I will tell all my friends and family.

Ray is great!! We have brought our vehicles to him for awhile. This last time it was a new to me Prius. It needed break work done. He was able to squeeze me in the day he closed before his Christmas holiday. Got my car all fixed. I had to take it back in after he returned from the holiday as what he fixed wasn't working properly. He ordered new parts at no charge to me and got it fixed back up. I highly recommend using him for any auto repairs you may need. Thanks Grayling Car Care for being awesome!

Highly recommended! Ray was great and very thorough with explaining the problem and fixing. Took pictures of the problems and even showed me the defective parts. We will be lifetime customers for sure! Thanks again Grayling Auto Care!

I didn't went, but I called because most possible I had to go, be towed to there, and they respond pretty fast the phone and help me with all questions and the principal one that was, in case I need to be tow there, because the place it's closed weekends, is no problem the vehicle arrives there after hours? And they were very happy to help.

I have had four different vehicles here on numerous occasions, always a great experience. Good honest hard working folks that do what they can to keep repair costs down. There service is very in demand so you will need a small amount of patience. Try to make appointment ahead they will have car done on appointment day if it is at all possible to do

In Grayling on vacation and heard my brakes start grinding. Stopped in and got an appointment to have them replaced. After arriving for my appointment, I got a call within 10 minutes with the results of the inspection and was provided with 3 repair options. I chose the best for me and the work was completed within their estimated time. Ray, Erica and crew are very friendly and excellent repair people. Great Place to have work done to your vehicle. The owner Ray was really Friendly guy. He worked with us on a great price for the few things we had done. Him and his wife were super nice as we had to sit there and wait for our vehicle to be done. The work was done in a timely manner. Everything was explained to detail on what they were doing to my truck. Really appreciate the Great Service from Grayling Car Care Definitely would recommend!!!!Thank you for a Great Experience while waiting for our vehicle to be fixed !!! at

They didn't quit until they found the problem. Fixed the multiple problems, then they even came to pick me up at home when the car was finished.Couldn't have asked for better service.

My 17 year old son and I were on our way from Grand Rapids to Sault Ste. Marie for a weekend fishing tournament. About 6 miles south of Grayling we blew out a spark plug on our beat up 1999 F250. We called Grayling Car Care and they told us to drive the truck in and they would see what they could do. They immediately got us in, went out to get parts, and had us back on the road in no time. Both the lady at the desk and the mechanic were very friendly and helpful. God bless Garyling Car Care!

Everyone there is very friendly and knowledgeable. I took my truck in to get my passenger side seat belt height adjuster replaced after my dog chewed it and they got it replaced super fast without costing a fortune. I highly recommend them

Excellent experience as a first time customer. Ray and crew were honest and told us we only needed rear brake pads. We waited while the work was done, and were kept updated throughout the process. We overheard Ray and the receptionist interacting with other customers. They were kind, compassionate, knowledgable, honest, and fair. Price was very reasonable. Highly recommend!Service: Brakes

I've been going to Grayling Car Care for going on 10 years. They have always been fair, honest, and willing to work with me. So, if there's something I can't do in my own garage, I take my vehicles to Grayling Car Care.Update: recently took my car to Grayling Car Care for a quote for repairs. I called the next day and was told my car is done and it will be $660. Turns out they confused my car with another person's car where they had the go ahead to fix whatever needed to be fixed.I said I just wanted a quote and I didn't authorize any repairs. The owner immediately got defensive and said he would just put all my old equipment back on. I said that's not what I was requesting, I just wanted him to acknowledge that it was his mistake, not mine, and maybe we could work something out.He hung up and wouldn't answer any callback.Picked up my car the next day with the old equipment out back on the car.He'd rather go through the trouble of that target than just admitting his mistake and working with me.That is not a business I can work with. It's a shame really. Miss I have to build a new relationship with one of the other mechanics in town.

I had a tail light go out on my truck 2 days before Christmas and 1 day before a blizzard. They took me right in and fixed it quickly. Yes it was a simple repair for them but it was greatly appreciated by me. They have earned repeat business !

We hit road debris 12 miles outside of Grayling and then smelled gas and exhaust so we pulled off the road and called. Ray Fuhr at Grayling car care was really helpful and nice! He referred us to a tow truck and gave us a 10% discount, then took a look at our car for us. Turns out there was a hole in our gas tank and several in our exhaust system from the debris. They at it more to see if they could do a quick fix for us there because we were on our way home from Michigan, then when it looked like it was a bigger problem, he suggested we call our insurance. When it turned out he wouldn t be able to get parts in to repair it until the next week he suggested we rent a U-Haul trailer and car dolly to get it home ourselves. He referred to the county bus system which was a pick up service to take us to our hotel for the night and to the U-Haul place in the morning. He even kept our car overnight for us, and then this amazing man didn t even charge us for anything! It s so wonderful to see that there are still honest, helpful mechanics in this world. Ray is one of the best mechanics I have ever worked with. He is very honest and shows you the problems with your vehicle so you understand. He is very realistic, as in he will tell you if your vehicle is worth saving. Its hard to trust places and people when it comes to your vehicle, but this place is a must. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. My car starts beautifully and all problems have been diagnosed and worked out. Thank you, Ray and Grayling Car Care. You really put the "care" in your name. Got me on the road so fast I forgot my car had problems.Service: Auto maintenance

Friday on Labor Day weekend I pulled in in limp mode with my Duramax truck pulling a 24' cargo trailer trying to make it to the U.P. for the weekend. I stopped 2 places before on the way and they just laughed saying maybe they could look at it next week. This guy sees me walking up, and comes out concerned and wants to help me about a half hour before they close. He says give him a few minutes to get another car out of his bay, and then comes out and hooks in my computer. He does this and says that, and had me drive down the road to a church I could turn around in and come back. Whatever he did fixed my truck. I tried to pay him money but he wouldn't take it. Unbelievable this guy. Haven't had any issues since with my truck. I was in dire straits and this place was a God send. I still get a little emotional when I think of my experience with this place. Thank You SO Much!!!

Ray is an awesome guy. Even though he's been super busy he got my 'new' van in the shop for a check up. He told me straight up if I had bought the wrong car or not. I didn't. He gave me a quick overview of some things that needed work. Fixed a few things while he could keep the van in the shop and then scheduled me for another appointment.Easily the best shop in town. Affordable, professional, and done right. Even if it took a bit longer than I initially expected.Maybe the best in Northern Michigan? I don't know. This is my first car.P.S. Ray if you read this, don't mind the call from my 'wife' I understand your need for business and would like to work with you in the future.

Ray was great. We were on our way up to the u.p. when the car quit. Towed in to his shop and he took at look. Figured out the problem and sqeezed us in so we wouldn't be stranded.wonderful people. Would recommend . Too bad we live down by Lansing or we would make him our go to.Thanks again grayling auto for your help, and understanding!You all are wonderful!

Had an unexpected breakdown on the highway while I was headed downstate to see my folks for the holidays. I called and spoke to Ray, the owner, about my situation. He told me he would do his best to get my vehicle in and repaired which was no small gesture given that the vehicle got to his shop at 4:00 p.m. and the shop was closing at 5:00. He had the part waiting at the shop when the vehicle arrived and I was back on the road in 30 minutes. It was appreciated that they put the trailer I was towing back on the hitch as as part of the service, which was not something I expected them to do.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Driving home from vacation we ran into car trouble. They got us in right away and helped us diagnose the problem. Thankfully it seemed like a fluke issue with the sensor, so turning the car off and on fixed the issue for the time being. They got us the error codes, let us know what part may be going bad (they didn't replace it because we were in a hurry and are from out of state), and sent us on our way without charging us. If we were local, we'd definitely go back for any car issues!

I was in town on vacation, when my truck start making a loud noise. I called Grayling Car Care and spoke with Ray. I was told they were booked solid for the next week, but Ray told me to bring my truck in and he would make time for it! Although they couldn't figure out what exactly was wrong with my truck due to the time constraints, Ray assured me my truck was safe. I couldn't believe when I wasn't charged for fhe time they spent working on my truck. I was able to finish my vacation with peace of mind and for that I'm so grateful!!!
