Had them replace an engine 2 years ago and am finally getting around to a reveiw... paid over 20k for a 6.7 engine from Ford. Got the truck back almost 3 quarts low on oil, no antifreeze in the over flow resivor, the resivor for the intercooler to the turbo was a half inch below the operating range... so not even in the marks! Had break issues. Brought the truck back several times to fix break issues. After getting it back the last time the windshield was Crack down by the firewall going across the lower part of the windshield. They just tried to hide it and not say anything! Needless to say after all the lost time and money from the truck not being in the field I stopped working with them and took it to Ford. Spoke to upper management and they were very unhelpful and didn't care about my company losing money due to there abilities to fix things right the first time after paying the big bucks... sad when they are less than 15 minutes from me but I take my trucks to other places over 30 minutes away! Was the second time I done business with them also. And the first time there was at least 3 expectation dates that weren't met! And it return it made scheduling work extremely difficult! Never will be back for nothing!

Fick and Sons is more of a client for me, I'm not a customer. I don't own a truck or diesel engine of any kind.I sell equipment to employees (mechanics) so they can perform their jobs better for you (the customer).They have a great reputation and are a certified Cummings dealer. The shop is kept very clean and tidy.I would recommend Fick & Sons for your diesel, tractors and trailers.

The crew at Fick & Son are awesome! We were ready to take our first trip in the motor home and had issues with fluids and they took a few minutes to check it out and help us. Definitely will be going back there for all of our service work!

Place is a rip off on tires. Like 2 and a half times higher than anywhere in Grayling 800 and some out the door for their cheapest trailer tire. I have a few trucks and considered their other maintenance services but if they rip you off on tires their other services are going to be the same.

These guys are what America is all about. Super friendly And helped me out while I was traveling through their state. My Turbo boot Came off. I pulled into their lot With 15 minutes until closing they did not hesitate to help me get back on the road. They reclamped my boot and didn't even charge me. God-bless these boys. Had an air leak on sleeper air bag. Was empty in Grayling Michigan. Service man asked me to wait at the truck stop and he'd call when he had someone available. Half an hour later he had someone to fix air bags and had them on hand. Also fixed a light that broke earlier that morning. Satisfied with the work and the bill was fair. Would recommend them

Was on service call and needed a hose for radiator stop into there service center and discovered that they had a parts department as well the counter guy was excellent he didn't have the exact hose came up with 1 that would work and get my truck back on the road

We had a tire start to separate on our diesel pusher. We saw Fick & Sons as we passed by on the interstate. Called them and they got us right in and back on the road. Super clean shop, nice waiting area, and very friendly/helpful staff!

I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THESE GUYS IF THEY WERE THE LAST IN THE PLANET.I went for leaking wheel hub seal, took them 8 hours for work shouldn't take no ore than 3 hours max. I kept asking the front store guy (Bill) for an updated and he is the most unhelpful person i ever met. 7 hours into replacing the hub seal, i angrily asked Bill to F...ing let me know what's the hell was going, then, ONLY THEN, he informed me that the mechanic broke the break pad adjuster when removing the break pad, as a result, the caliper need t be replaced and the part won't be available until 8am the next morning. I asked Bill to just have his incompetent mechanic to put everything back including the broken part so i can take it to a competent mechanic. They charged me almost $1200 for job that shouldn't have taken half the amount. I made it to my mechanic, since i did not trust their work, i asked my mechanic to check everything they did. he told me that the wheel hub seal is ok and there was nothing wrong with my caliper. It took him an hour and half to do all of these.

Just left there. THANK YOU!!!! We are from downstate, camping, check engine light came on. Dealership wouldn't even do a diagnostic for us. Fick & Sons understood our severe predicament. You can't be going down the expressway hauling 35 feet of trailer and have the truck quit. They welcomed us in, with 2 dogs, and did what they needed to get it fixed and us back on our way. Again, thank you so much.

Great service but 60 mi drive each way. We d do it again. Squeezed us in when another repair facility 20 mi from home couldn t/wouldn t.A leaky fuel supply to our propane generator was quickly diagnosed and resolved. Although the awkward location of our generator on an Airstream RV Mercedes Sprinter chassis made this an expensive repair. We are still very thankful. And our trip can continue on schedule.Sudden mechanical problems with an RV are generally not the kind that can wait a month for an appointment or sit 2 months on the lot, so squeezing us in almost has to be part of customer service if purporting to service RVs.We would definitely consider returning to Fick in the future.

My wife and I were on our way to Wisconsin when our water pump decided to fail in our Jeep just before exit 251. With the engine overheating we somehow made it to the parking lot of Fick and Sons Diesel Garage. Nate and Garrett knowing we were stranded diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts and made the repairs the same day so we could continue on our way. Wonderful people for taking on the work for a #1) a car engine and 2) they were very busy repairing trucks. I Tip My Hat to this business and two great employees!!!! Thank You very much.

Stopped in and asked Kody ( Cody ) if he could check the tires on my RV and fill my suspension bags. Without missing a step, he kindly directed me to the side bay and filled the air in all. Polite, knowledgeable, professional, yet very comfortable to work with. Was friendly and even mentioned that I could get some of the supplies I needed from the front attached store. When I went inside, Bill was there to greet me and help out with the rest of my supplies. Very friendly staff and great products for camping or trucking. Hope to pass by there again.

While traveling from Northern MI to Ann Arbor we broke down near Grayling with my F250 super duty and got it to Ficks. Nate got us in right away and tried to get us back on the road. Unfortunately the truck couldn t be repaired right away but Ficks gave us a solid effort to get us back on the road. They didn t even charge us for running a scan on the truck.

My a/c compressor bearing burned up on I75 in my expedition on the way to Indian River, I called them Monday morn and they were able to go the extra mile and squeeze me in during the week and get it done. Bill in customer service was great!

We broke down on the exit ramp in Graying right next to Fick & Sons with our marine trailer in the middle of a massive down pour. Bill and his team saved the day. They got us back on the road in a few short hours. We are so blessed they were there and willing to help! Thank you so much!!!

Called about a compressor part. They had it in stock. The men working the counter were very nice. Professional and knowledgeable. I plan on bringing my road tractor in for service later and am confident that this shop will provide quality service.

Fick & Son's saved the day! The husband and I went to Soaring Eagle, then came up to Grayling for a night. The next morning, our truck wouldnt start! We called a tow truck for help, but overcranked the thing. We had them tow her to Fick's and the very next day we were back on the highway. We were expecting to pay top dollar, but it was half that! Thank you to the guys at Fick & Son's, keep up the awesome work. We would've broke ourselves with them.

Our drive shaft fell off of our vechicle so we pulled in to their shop and the two gentlmen working were awesome and very nice. They helped us get our vechicle going so we could continue on. Thank you so much guys!! One was don and the other i did not get his name, but u both were great and THANKS AGAIN!! Hope u have a good labor day weekend.

We broke down on the highway and got a tow to Flick and sons. They don't deal in small vehicles but they ordered parts for us and gave us tools to use and jumped our battery. Very friendly staff and was greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!

stopped by in may to have a engine light on checked. the tech scanned and found an intermittent short and we were on road and needed to leave before they could track down. Fast forward we tried several shops and diesel mechanics in cheboygan area. No one would touch job. we left to head back home and short sent us into Derate 5mph. so was towed to fick and son where they were able to work on it 1st thing. Brian the mechanic/tech was amazing. the confidence in this young man was a breath of fresh air .he placed my wife and I at ease. Brian found the short and stayed late to get it wrapped up and went way above what most ever go. Fick and son is the BEST shop we ever delt with hands down..... highly recommended Fick and son. with workers like Brian this company will go far

Had Trailer ABS issuesfor two months, been to Petro truckstops, TA Truckstops, utility Trailer, and This is the only shop that would take the time and troubleshoot the issue, and they didn't rely a computer to tell them what part to replace. Very good service.

Have taken my motorhome there a couple of times and they are very fair in work and pricing. I would recommend them to anyone needing work done on a large vehicle.
