Used to be great, would let me know if I needed something coming up, now constant mess ups and miss simple things like low fluids. Twice my air pressure sensors were done wrong after I mentioned it was messed up the first time. Attention to detail is just not there anymore.

Our Forrester started to make a noise on our 1300-mile trip to give our daughter a ride from camp to the airport. We knew she wouldn't make her flight, let alone us making it home. The folks at Kinney's showed some real class by pulling 2 mechanics to work on our car over lunch to make sure we were our our way in 3 hours. Our daughter made her flight to her destination & we made another 1300 miles back home. The bonus is when our home mechanic told us we didn't get ripped off. We are grateful & impressed.

Great service and a courteous staff. I brought an obscure JDM car in for an alignment and they got my car in on time and completed the work quickly. The technician told me exactly what had been done in detail and answered my questions. The car handles flawlessly now!

I only write reviews when I am super impressed with the service and I always am impressed with the service from Kinneys. They replaced my brakes, ball joints and changed the oil. Kinney's Auto Repair has been my go to repair shop for years now. Always honest & dependable. A modern repair facility with knowledgeable mechanics. They have saved me money by only doing what is necessary, always giving me options. Never been disappointed.

Fantastic, friendly and professional service. We had an issue with our tail pipe breaking while coming up to a camping trip. It was melting the carpet in the interior and likely releasing fumes into the cabin. We found Kinney s on Google and decided to give them a try. We gave them a call and dropped the vehicle off after hours. They got it in immediately the next morning and had it finished by noon. No price squeezing, extremely friendly and responsive, and no up selling on unnecessary stuff. All in all, excellent service. I wish they were in the Grand Rapids area!

We had a car emergency on our vacation and Kinney's got us in right away and got us new tires so that we could make it to our Destination and home again safely. Would highly recommend them! So nice, professional, fast, and we'll priced! :)Service: TiresService: Tires

I just really needed to come on here and leave a good review. I have used this shop for years now and I will never use another shop. They are affordable and fast. They are also so helpful and friendly. They keep in contact with you throughout the whole time of having your vehicle and they tend to always atleast get my cars looked at sooner then when they say which is fantastic. Being a mom and with both my fianc� and I working full time it s never easy when a vehicle goes down but Kinneys has never taken longer then a week to get it fixed. I recommend them to everyone and as I said I will never use another mechanic shop. I am always pleased with their work, cost, and friendly attitudes. Do yourself a favor and use this shop. Had my wheel alignment done and new tires put on. They had issue with my alignment getting my car to drive straight as it was still pulling left after the alignment. They thought putting new tires on would solve the issue, but it did not. I asked if they drove it again after putting new tires on and they said they didn t but for me to drive it and call if it still was pulling, and it was. They had me come back the next day to see if they could make it any better. Long story short it didn t make any noticeable difference. They were very professional doing this, however my complaint is that they charged me for a SECOND TIME $89.00. So $178.00 for the two alignments in two days. Very unhappy about this, and with the lack of communication about they were going to charge me again.Services: Tires, Wheel alignment

I came in here to get my car looked at as it was having drivetrain issues. I was charged to have it diagnosed as two wheel bearings on the drivers side as it was causing the traction control to activate when driving at certain speed . I specifically asked if this would take care of the issue as I had a trip coming up. They did the repairs quite fast and said I also needed a tie-rod end which I trusted their word and asked them to replace it as well. The problem persisted the very next day and as soon as I came in the guy started talking about another diagnosis charge depending on how long it would take and that now we would be looking into the transmission and engine I left and went down the road to T.C. Brake and alignment where they figured out almost immediately that it was my driveshaft. They did not charge to diagnose, did not charge me for the installation of the y pipe that broke due to being old and rusty. And helped me locate my own parts to get a better price. I will never take another vehicle to Kinneys.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto maintenance

Fast, friendly and professional. Went in today and had a slow leak fixed on my tire. Reasonable price and out the door in twent minutes(by pure luck and grace!). Discount tire was a six + hour wait and is 30 days out for appointments. Thank you so much Kinneys!!!

I ve just relocated to Northern Michigan from the south, so perhaps honest mechanics are a phenomenon I m just not yet accustomed to. Just as I was getting comfortable driving on ice, my Silverado threw the dreaded, check engine light along with messages indicating that engine power had been reduced and stabilitrack should be serviced. I did enough research myself to know that it was likely the throttle body, and the positioning sensor within it, but I didn t read the code.Not only was the team at Kinney s honest with me, but they recommended just cleaning the throttle body and didn t pretend that it needed replaced. This was a surprisingly, refreshing interaction in which they promptly answered my call, scheduled next day service, diagnosed my issue, performed the necessary remediation, and got my truck back to me same-day, at a fair price, while exhibiting honesty. I m very pleased, and I ll be back. Special thanks to Jake who was prompt and courteous throughout the entire process.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I totally recommend Kinney's! I had to get my car O2 sensor fixed and was expecting to pay a lot more than they charged. It also helps that they are local. I will be using them for all my car's needs.

Great service. My mechanic, I don't remember his name unfortunately, worked through his lunch to take a later one so I could wait in the building for it to be done. I feel I got my repairs for a great price as well.

Kenney s is and always will be my go to mechanics! These guys are very knowledgeable and very friendly staff. I have had my trucks serviced here for the past few years because they ll get it done right the first time. They keep their shop very clean and will treat your car/truck like it s their own. Would highly recommend them to anyone!

Had some work done on my husband's vehicle and we were happywith the job and them so we decided to take mine there as well. They were nice and friendly and did all the necessary repairs. However, when we went to pick my vehicle up, discovered a mess of oil all over the exterior and interior. Driver side door (all down the side from window to bottom of door), oily fingerprint smudges all over the hood, on the inside driver door on the handle and all down the side, handprint/fingerprints all over the passenger side, and steering wheel. Obviously I'm aware that car repairs are messy but a little clean up would have been nice. So instead, I'm outside in their parking lot at 38+ weeks pregnant, trying to scrub my car down with baby wipes (because it's all I had), in ridiculously hot and humid weather while trying not to make a mess of myself either. Then I had to go and get an unexpected car wash because I was worried what the oil might do to the paint. Which was beyond frustrating as my car had just been detailed inside and out a week ago. I'd post a couple photos to ensure my claim isn't as ludicrous as it sounds but Google isn't allowing it.All in all:Service? Nice.Housekeeping skills? Not worth it.

I'm so pleased that Kinney's is doing business. Very professional and friendly place to get your vehicle issues taking care of.The price is so reasonable, I would say tell them I sent you... but I'm not sure they would remember me. Highly recommended.

After having several positive experiences at Kenny s auto, they really let the ball drop. I came in for a alignment and a reseal on all 4 tires. Not only was the alignment not performed correctly but the tires were not resealed and came back without the outer wheel weights. I made another appointment to have them re-check the alignment and had nothing but more problems. They called me out into the shop to show me the issues they were having. The technician couldn t figure out how to loosen the control arm bolts, that where recently broke free (I had to show him that he was turning the wrong side of the bolt). Seeing they had broken multiple bolts on my rock guard, and broken off the tabs on the control arm bolt eccentrics, I told them to get it off the hoist.It s a shame that the technicians at this shop are so ignorant, as the service writers are very nice.

Nothing to exceptional about this place. They were ready for my truck alignment by the time I got there. Typical pricing for the alignment but was quoted tires and they were 10-25%more expensive than some other places in town. Might go back in the future.
