Brought my car in last week for an oil change and alignment. Team was kind enough to inform me that my struts and brake pads were also worn and recommended replacement. Went ahead with repairs and picked car up next day to take out of state. During my drive I noticed that the car still seemed a little wobbly during highway travel and called asking for this to be resolved since I was really frustrated that after spending a good lump sum the car didn't appear to handle as well as I'd hoped. Dropped the car off this morning and the owner and his best techs handled it personally, test driving and finding out the issue was simply due to the recommended settings for the year of the vehicle not matching what was actually needed. I was very worried at first that I had spent a lot of money at the wrong place, and that my car would have to be taken elsewhere but I was wrong. The owner and everyone here is great, they took my complaint seriously and went above and beyond to make it right and make sure the car was running smooth. Worth every dime. I will be recommending that all my customers and friends go here for repairs from here on our, and recommend that anyone located in the West Side should put their faith in this shop to make sure your needs are met. Honestly one of the best experiences I've had with a body shop despite the small hiccup.

I have been going to Westside Garage for more years than I can count. They really care about their customers. Today, I stopped by the new shop for the first time for a little problem with my wipers. Tommy and Joey got it in and in a few minutes I was back on the road. They are the best!Love the new digs. VERY nice.

They worked on my brother's car. We dropped it off. They looked at it the day of the appointment and had it ready to pick up the next day. Very good people and service! I'll be back to them if my car breaks down.

I ve been coming to these guys for a few years now and they do incredible work. Always get my vehicles in and out in a timely manner, and do a quality job in the process. Just had them do some body work on one of my cars and couldn t be happier with the way it turned out. Would highly recommend this garage.

I have a winter beater car. I get it it s old. I asked for an alignment and balancing on 4 wheels . They didn t balance the wheels but sure enough charge me for removing Rusted Adjuster . Then they attempt to persuade me to do $1,100 fix. I m like dude this winter beater with 280,000k miles ain t worth that repair. Do what is asked. Take your vehicle somewhere else. This shop tends to nickel and dime.

Pam and Tom were so helpful when I needed help getting lug nuts off my car! Tom drove to me and assisted getting the tire off the car and fixing it at the shop. Definitely cannot recommend Westside Garage enough!

Front bumper of my car was cracked and messed up my radiator causing my car to over heat. Gave them a call and had Grand Valley Towing ( affiliated with them ) pick my car up. I appreciated the transparency of the cost for the parts, labor, etc. Took less than a week to repair my car and they did a good job.

They charged me $100 after telling me my car wasn't fixable and to go scrap it. This is the first shop I know around that charges for estimate/diagnostics... Won't be bringing my new vehicle in for service there.

These guys are awesome. They went ABOVE AND BEYOND to evaluate my truck and its needed repairs, recommend next steps with full transparency, communicate well, and work their butts off to do an outstanding job repairing my truck. They did a huge, tough job replacing an entire exhaust system including manifolds that were completely corroded, and my truck is doing just great now. These guys truly care about their work and the people they do it for.

Easily the worst auto shop in grand rapids. We brought our car in for some front end work, only for our problem not to be resolved. Less than a year later, our car is in the shop for the exact same issue. This time however, we are being charged $400 less to have it done correctly. I also have a couple friends who have gotten ripped off buying cars off their lot too. This is not an honest mechanic, these are con artist.EDIT: my boyfriend brought the car in. I have definitely experienced your poor service, but nice try lol. My friend purchased the car about 7 years ago, so that checks out as well!

Full disclosure: I'm not a car guy.But every time I go to Westside they are short sweet ant to the point. I don't get a push for unnecessary work, or add ons. They are professional and reasonably priced. Tell them what you want and they do it,Trusted for years in the local community, full recommendation.

I absolutely respect Mary and her business. She is completely honest and up front about everything. Her staff is amazing, just as she is. You re not going to leave disappointed with the exceptional work they do on vehicles. I respect the integrity of not only her as a business owner but her staff also. They know what they are doing. If they can t get you in at a certain time because they re overbooked, they will tell you and recommend you to another respected garage that will help!

I had been a customer of the owner of Westside Garage before he moved on Walker. I thought I had built a relationship with them. I had great service until I bought a vehicle from them. I bought a vehicle about 2 years ago and from the start I had issues with the vehicle. About a week after I purchased the vehicle the transmission went out. Thankfully it was under warranty with Bob's Transmission who honored the warranty. Next I steering problem, oil leak problem which never was repaired correctly. Radiator problems which they didn't honor. I ended up going to another mechanic. Because I was calling so much the owner felt I getting on his nerves. I have spent over $4500 on repairs for this vehicle. I was always on time for my regular maintenance. The vehicle had a lot of regular maintenance due when I purchased it. It was costly because of the vehicle. I had just received my disability before I got my vehicle and spent all of my savings trying to fix the vehicle.I had the radiator fixed by another mechanic and after a year it blew along with the engine. Now I have no vehicle but I still have a payment. I trusted when I was with Westside they would treat me fairly. It took me over a year to get the oil leak fixed by someone else. I know that Westside has been a very reputable business for years and I never thought I would go through this. This was a learning experience for me about getting too comfortable when doing business. God should have been my focused.

Very happy with my experience. I definitely recommend them. Got everything resolved within a day and a half, was quoted $202. Where as muffler man on 28th by the mall had my car for a week and did not fix it, also forgot to put two major parts back in my car that Westside Garage made me aware of. Muffler man also quoted me $500, so I hope you see where I'm getting at... Definitely recommend Westside Garage, great trustworthy people.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Dave and the entire Westside Garage crew. They are honest, trustworthy, and truly look out for their customers. I recently had my power steering assist go out. I work downtown about 3 minutes from Westside Garage. I called Dave and within minutes he told me he d go pick up the car and not to worry about a thing. Sure enough he picked up the car and had it ready for me to go within a day. Dave has exceptional customer service and his crew works fast and are so knowledgeable.

I took my car to Westside Garage for some repairs after my boyfriend had a couple of good experiences there too. I was long overdue for some maintenance & I was not disappointed with my experience. Tommy and Dave were beyond polite and went out of their way to discuss the repairs with me, even offering to prioritize the repairs so I didn't have to deal with a large bill all at once. They allowed me to use a loaner car while they had my car. Now that I have my car back, I have been nothing but satisfied with my repairs.While my car was there, I recommended a friend to go into Westside for a new car inspection that they needed. For recommending someone, Westside gave me a discount on my repairs and did the new car inspection for far less than any quote my friend had received anywhere else.These guys are great and they do superior work. They are very concerned with making sure that their customers are happy and that they do quality work for them. I'd recommend this place to anyone!

Westside Garage is trustworthy, reliable, and efficient. I have taken my vehicle there several times and every time, I am very pleased with the repairs. These guys really know what they are doing! Dave is always willing to take the time to explain everything. They do not rip you off. They actually go out of their way to help save me money, and have even done some things for free. This kind of service keeps me coming back. It's such a relief to take your vehicle to a place that you can trust to do excellent work at a fair price. Outstanding!!!

I looked for a long time for the right place to take my car and am so glad I found Westside Garage. Dave & staff are all very helpful and you can tell they are committed to customer service. They know the value of a return customer rather than just trying to get every penny out of a new customer. For example: they polished my headlights free of charge while working on something else on my car. That's just one small instance of how they've treated me - your happiness with their work is clearly a #1 priority. They are great communicators and will strive to exceed your expectations with every interaction!

This was my first experience with Westside Garage and was very pleased. It came as a recommendation from someone from work, and the only issue I had was that a part on my door was put back on my car wrong. So I had to take it back for it to be fixed. However, it was a quick easy fix for them. It just would have been nice not to have had to make a second trip to fix. Other than that, I felt that they did a very good job at a fair price. I really appreciated how the owner was willing to meet with me after hours due to my work schedule, and he seemed to genuinely care. I plan to continue going there with my car in the future and would recommend them to any one.

I have taken my vehicle to Westside Garage a total of 3 times in the past 3 months. I have received nothing short of fantastic customer service, quality work, and reasonable prices! I couldn't recommend this place more to anyone needing automotive work done on their car/truck.The first time took my car in, I had recently bought it used and was curious if my timing belt needed to be replaced (it was close to the mileage and the previous owner wasn't sure if it had been done). Rather than simply pretending to look at it and recommend I get it replaced, the owner Dave and one of the folks at the shop told me that it looked fine and to just come get it checked out again next year.I knew at this point that this place was not like any other mechanic.The second time I took my car in was after I had been to another location that quoted me about 1.7k for work they weren't even sure needed to be done. I took my car down to Westside and the folks there looked it it a knew exactly what needed to be done. they replaced my rear calipers, brake pads, and rotors for an incredibly reasonable price and quality installation.The third time I took my car in I got all of my struts replaced and an alignment done for an even more incredible price than the last time I was there. I cannot recommend Westside Garage enough for their impeccable attention to quality and customer service. They even told me that if I felt the alignment wasn't 100% correct I could take it in for a quick adjustment, free of charge!Rest assured that the folks at Westside aren't your stereotypical mechanics just trying to score a quick buck. The genuinely care about their customers.

A great neighborhood auto service center! We've had our cars serviced at WestSide Garage since they opened several years ago. From the beginning I've been really impressed with their quality of service. It really seems like they go out of their way to make sure you feel well taken care of. Only once has there ever been an issue with something needing additional attention after they repaired it. All the follow up work they did to make it right was free of charge. Highly recommended!
