They did my wheel alignment. The kid did not know what he was doing began to heat my tie rod, end with a torch and tell it was red, hot melted it right off twisted off , and then began to tell me that my car was not drivable afterwards the part that he broke, he said he would not cover the cost. I would have to cover the cost to get my vehicle fixed and on the road again I just went for an alignment 40 bucks . I didn t go to replace my inner and outer tie rod end, which was perfectly fine, then they begin to give me an estimate over $400 to replace it. They already had a quote ready for all the parts left me stranded, waiting for a tow truck for three hours as I called AAA to have my vehicle towed to my house so I could fix it myself. Totally ridiculous. Wouldn t have them adjust the pressure in my tire. It s too complicated for them and it will probably break it in charge me for a new tire. Definitely would not go here. Stay away. Yes I have already told over 250 people not to go here because it was absolutely ridiculous. The mechanic should ve cover the cost because he s the one that broke it. He had a little child working on my car that didn t even know anythingService: Wheel alignment

Went in to get my brakes checked and they kept me updated with everything they were doing to my vehicle! Ended up not needing my brakes changed and had them do a couple other repairs for me! All done in less than 2 hours! I was very pleased and highly recommend coming here!!

Van Laar's is nothing short of Excellent Service, every time. I've been using them for a little over 5 years now and I trust them with all my vehicles. BMW, Hyundai, Jeep, Mazda. They're always on point. Prices are fair (Not cheap) but very reasonable and I always get service that is above and beyond. Will continue to use them. Not only my own personal vehicles, but I've also taken all my heavy-duty work trucks for service, new tires, suspension work, drive train, and all my basic preventative maintenance.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Wiper blade installation

I jad concerns with my vehicle after the dealership couldn't find anything wrong. Brought my wife's car into them as well. They found exactly what I thought was wrong with both vehicles. I appreciate the service and how nice they were. No lies or salesman tactics which are annoying.

I trust Van Laar's and definitely recommend them.I bought new tires from them and had them installed and balanced for a very fair price, much less than the big name tire shop I got a quote from. They were open about the costs, not trying to upsell me, and they wrote up a quote for repairing a suspension issue they saw and the wheel alignment once the repair was done. By far, one of the best auto repair shop around. quick turnaround, reasonable rates, and a very friendly staff that communicated the progress of my car. very satisfied with the service and repairs given. since I was new to the grand rapids area their name was given to be as a trustworthy business. Had the rear brakes and rotors replaced last week. Great and fast day-of service. As a data point, I had to wait about a week to get an appointment to be seen. In and out in less than two hours. Will definitely be returning.

They are lovely to work with. My entire front end was knackered from neglect on my part. They never once made me feel bad about the condition of my car. The quote was $200 under the other quote I received and they were honest about the price and time needed to fix it. Great customer service, highly recommend!

Contacted Van Laar's based on referral from a friend. I had squeaking brakes and scheduled an appointment for a week out. Tim, the owner, is great to work with. One of the few places I trust. They have done great work on both of my vehicles. They had to take an extra day on my Jeep to make sure the job was done right. I would rather have that then it break down sooner due to shotty work

Had an alignment done but noticed it was still pulling to the left a little bit. I took it back and got it corrected. While I was there I asked Ron about one of my back up sensors that got knocked inside the bumper and how to disable it. He looked at it and worked for about 20 minutes to fish it out and secure it so it wouldn t go back inside my bumper. Talk about above and beyond!! These guys are AWESOME!!

This shop was great!! I was quoted an obscene price from a large chain company to fix my rear disc brakes (it was calipers and all). Van Laars quoted me a fraction of the price and it wound up being less than that. I had bought my car used, with the bad brakes, and now my car feels like a brand new car. The customer service was excellent, they were honest and fair. After my experience I don t think I can take my car anywhere else.
