Great price for the work. Disappointed in the fact that I told the man(Ryan or Doug I think his name was) on the phone Friday that my car had a check engine light on and leaking coolant. Came to pick my car up today, coolant leak was fixed, however my check engine light was not even diagnosed and is still illuminated. I guess mechanics nowadays can just diagnose a car by simply looking at it. Time to find another shop that hopefully has some sort of process when a customer brings their car in.Update: 3/27. Not even 6 hours after picking my car up it is leaking again. What a waste of money & time this was. Thanks Sid s!Update 2: 3/28. After leaving a voicemail last night I received a call back stating, they diagnosed the check engine light, then cleared the code & failed to notify me what the underlying issue was. It happened to come back on only when I arrived to pick my vehicle up but STILL was not notified what the issue was when I walked back into the shop and asked about it. Very unprofessional in my opinion and a piss poor excuse of not executing your job correctly.If a customer brings a vehicle for a check engine light and other issues, it s common sense to let the customer know your findings on all aspects regardless.

Called last night (Thursday) at 5 pm about my alternator needing to be replaced, after being told I could be squeezed in a week later at a couple other places. At Sid s I was told maybe I could be squeezed in next day, definitely by Monday. Got a call at 7:24 am this morning (Friday) that it was definitely the alternator and what it would cost to replace. Told them to go ahead and take their time as I didn t need car back til Wednesday. Got a call at 4 pm today (Friday) and it was done! Less than 24 hours. Great service, way cheaper than expected and car is running great.

I unexpectedly had a flat tire and was able to roll right into Sid's. A wonderful gentleman replaced my tire with my spare. Within 15 minutes I was back on the road and made it to my next appointment on time.Great service. Kind and friendly!Please give this business your business!

My first encounter was a van we own had diesel put in the tank (I still don t know how they managed). After Sid s cleaned the tank and checked the rest of the engine (for around half what everyone else quoted as a minimum) it felt like the vehicle ran better than when we first bought it from the dealer.Since then I have brought vehicles to Sid s a few times over the course of the past few years living closer to their location. Every time I have been very satisfied with the work, prices, and detail received after they finish the work.

These guys are the best around. Honest & reliable. I ve been going there for years. In fact, I have gone pretty far out of my way to bring my car there for service when I haven t lived in the area. Highly recommend

Doug and Jamie were great and did an even better job getting my Vehicle fix. I was told by another shop that my exhaust system needed to be replaced and was quoted an outrageous amount. Doug and Jamie were able to fix the issue without replacing any parts. i would highly recommend them to anyone.

I've been coming here for several years and this is by far the best Auto service shop I've ever been to. Excellent service and excellent prices. Above all, they are as honest as the day is long. I would not take my vehicles anywhere else. I highly recommend Sid's Service

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE FOR SERVICE.They did work for me on my truck and did not replace the break pads and rotor for me. Once I received the Truck a few mouths later the wheel snapped all 8 studs while I was driving.They gave me the run around and claimed no responsibility for there mistakes THEY HAVE NO INTEGRITY, they never followed up with me or the auto service location in regards to this problem they also never filed it as a insurance claim.

My family has been taking our cars here for years without complaint. Moved to a new town a few years back and it's been difficult to find a reliable service shop for my car. Moving back to Grand Rapids and looking forward to being able to take my cars to Sid's again!

Went in for A/C evac/recharge + synthetic oil change.Why they got 5 stars:1) Best quoted price2) Stuck to quoted price3) They found out o-ring on drier was the wrong size, diagnosed, replaced, and recharged again for a very reasonable small charge (other places would have doubled my bill).4) Very polite, saw me promptly, and had a garage big enough to fit my big van.A++ will go back for any further repairs.

My father owned a service station in Grand Rapids called Godwin Heights Service Garage. When he went out of business people cried because my dad was always honest about everything and could get the job done right. When I started dealing with Sid's years ago, Jim was the owner. That was also my dad's name. Ryan had taken it over after his father died. There's not a better group of guys to work on your car than Ryan, Doug and Jamie. Between all of these guys they know all the little quirks, tricks, tips they've learned and have their hearts into their business. They get them in and out of there and keep a clean shop. If I lived anywhere near Grand Rapids I'd still be using them. You expect more from Sids and you get it.

Fast service and reasonable prices. I have never been to a shop where people care more about you and the safety of your vehicle. If you need a mechanic that you can trust, go to Sid's service.

Spoken down to when trying to get the check engine light checked out. Women aren't respected here. Go elsewhere. They don't care about their customers from my experience.
