My wife and I started bringing our cars here based on their reputation, they fit us in their schedule and Kevin keeps us posted on the status, its been great. We keep going back because they use quality parts and do solid work, they're also transparent with billing. They've never tried to upsell us, its just - here is whats wrong, here's how we can fix it. No nonsense, great shop and people, highly recommend.

Finding a mechanic you can trust in this day and age is difficult. It often feels like every shop and dealership is looking for ways to squeeze money of out of their customers. I promise you, you can trust these people with your vehicle. The work they are going to do is going to be done right and they aren t going to jerk you around with unnecessary repairs just to make a buck. As the mechanic said to me, why waste good parts on something that doesn t need to be fixed.

I Wont be going back, paid $1400 during covid when my muffler broke. They put it back together without ordering new parts. Fell apart less than 2 years later. My car looks damaged underneath parts looked like they were never changed. Then told me I had to pay another $586 to fix a $100 muffler and when I didnt let them fix it they beat up my back muffler and put it back together. GOT RIPPED OFF!!

I've done most of my own auto work for a few decades and am now letting others do that work. This was my first visit to Northeast Automotive am I am very happy with the honest and competent mechanics and staff. They correctly diagnosed my failing waterpump and completed the repair in a timely fashion. I will be back. Update: I have been back at least 5 times with other vehicles and am still impressed with the quality of service and honesty of the people at Northeast Automotive.Services: Electrical repair, Auto battery replacement, Auto side window replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Auto A/C recharge, Air conditioning, Auto maintenance, Battery, Oil change

They have left me stranded on a holiday weekend because they failed to mention they would be closed for an extended holiday weekend. This visit (second total) I never went to the shop prior to trying to pick it up (it was towed). Not once in the five phone conversations with them did they mention I wouldn't be able to get my car the next day (Friday), even when explaining they might not be able to finish it Thursday. My holiday weekend in turn has been ruined, and all of my plans have to be cancelled or rescheduled. This is beyond inconvenient in the middle of moving. As a single mom, with one car its also potentially disastrous. Don't trust them to tell you important things. My first visit they also failed to mention I might smell burning or see smoke after my repair, both of which happened. Ensuring I get out of my car in the rain during my commute, and causing extreme panic. They work could be great but their communication skills are negligent at best.

Even though they could not fix my water pump and I knew that was the issue. They waved my inspection fee because of this.

My husband and I have been bringing our cars here for the last 4 years. They are nice, professional, reliable, and well priced. It's easy to get taken advantage of by car repair places, but Northeast Automotive is not like that. They have been wonderful. We will continue to be loyal customers here for a long time.

Excellent service, incredibly honest and capable. I first started going here when I was too busy at work to do the repairs myself, but with reasonable prices and very capable repairs, I've continued to come here even when my schedule calmed down. They really do spectacular work, and are always willing to find used parts when it'll help keep costs down. I've also found that they never "over-diagnose" which is, of course, the most important thing you can ask for from a mechanic.

Northeast Automotive will always have my business. I took my 2008 Impala in for a front end issue. Come to find out, it was a loose tie rod on the passenger side. They replaced both tie rods (as one should do when one tie rod goes out) and they gave me a great price including the front end alignment. While the vehicle was on the lift; a major oil leak issue was noticed. Now, this situation didn't happen out of thin air. Multiple shops had to have seen the issue and said nothing to me. The guys at Northeast Automotive took the time to bring me back and show me the issue. The repair was hefty but had to be done. I had them include some extras and they worked out a very fair price with me. If you're considering repair shops in the Grand Rapids area, look no further! Northeast Automotive will take care of you! Keep up the great work guys and thank you for the repairs!

THE 4.7 stars for their service is VERY MISLEADING ! They can say what they want but when a auto shop charges you $1K for a BREAK JOB , TRUST ME they re trying to get over on you ! I can honestly say my brakes were bad but not $1000 bad. Awesome service and amazing people! I dropped my car off and was immediately asked if I needed a ride anywhere. Not many places offer sincere hospitality like this these days! When Cody called about the work that was needed to repair my vehicle, he was descriptive and explained what parts were needed and even what their functions are to the operation of the vehicle. I appreciate him taking the time to fully explain the work they were quoting. I will definitely be back for any and all car repairs.

Northeast Automotive is my go-to place for car repairs on the NE side. They give you an honest assessment of the job, accurate estimates and get the job done..and done right. I will be a repeat customer for my car repair needs. Update 9.18.21: Just had brakes done, fit me in same day and did a great job as usual. Still highly recommend!!

We recently bought a 2004 Honda Accord for our son, who is a new driver. Upon getting it home, it broke down in line at the car wash. Immediate buyers' remorse set in... and we were preparing ourselves for the news that we bought a lemon.The car was towed to Northeast Automotive, mostly due to distance, but also we had heard good things about this shop.Turns out the front axle cracked, which has symptoms that mimic the transmission going out. What we thought was a catastrophe ended up being a relatively inexpensive fix.We will certainly be back! Appreciate the honesty, and the attitude of only fixing what is really needing to be fixed.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

My family has been coming here for years however I have just recently started using their services for my new car. I only had a oil change scheduled this morning however I also needed some brake work done. Not only did they fix the brakes but they completed the oil change before I had to rush off to a morning meeting. Absolutely love the service, the community, and the results!

This place was great. Got towed there on a Sunday, and they immediately took care of me the next day. Reasonable/ great price for quick service. I appreciate them as it was a last minute addition and they took such great care of me! Cliff and company have serviced everything from my 1986 Mazda pickup to my Ford 150. Also Honda and Dodge. Always expert work, great communication, fair price, friendly folks!I'll only drive 10,000 foot Rabbit Ears Pass in the winter knowing my truck is serviced at Northeast Automotive!

Terrible service with BS excuses. I didn't have two visits. I made an appointment a week in advance and dropped it off at 8am the day of the appointment. At 2pm you called to tell me the oxygen sensor was bad and asked if I wanted it replaced. I already new it was bad. As I told you, Advance Auto parts diagnosed it. I brought it to you for replacement. At 5pm I called to check on the status and was told you needed to keep it overnight and that it would be ready first thing in the morning. At noon the following day I again called to check on it and was told that a mechanic was working on it as we spoke. How is that two visits? Sounds more like two days to complete a two hour job.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

Had a head gasket go bad on my lexus. The repair was done with professional craftsmanship and the customer service was A+. They even had a loaner car for me to get to work while they repaired my car. I could not be more satisfied. With a full interior and exterior cleaning (free of charge) I was out the door with a fair price and felt secure that they took the proper time to get the job done to a high standard. Would recommend this to my friends and family as well as to a complete stranger. Hope this review helps!

My first experience here, but they have a customer for life. I had an A/C problem diagnosed at the dealership, but chose NE based on reviews. When I called to make the appt they spent a significant amount of time explaining what needed to be done and gave me a best case/worst case scenario based off the dealership diagnosis. When I brought my car in they found the dealership had been wrong and saved me over $800! Very honest and helpful!

This is a great place to bring your vehicle for service. You will receive quality honest service. They have good prices and they tell you exactly what needs to be fixed if you have issues with your vehicle. I highly recommend this place believe me you won't be disappointed.

They treat me like a family member, giving me honest estimates of work and a ride to and from my home. While they are friendly and thoughtful, their work is also 4 stars! I feel good about my car's condition and no longer afraid of repairing my car.

I had my first experience with Northeast Automotive. So great! I wasn t able to wait while they worked on my car so they gave me a lift home and picked me up when my car was ready. Quick,fairly priced, and excellent customer service. I highly recommend Northeast Automotive!

It s hard finding trustworthy mechanics but I really enjoyed my experience with NE Automotive. They went above and beyond what other car shops have provided me and they did so while also providing excellent customer service. Their prices are reasonable and they seem like honest and genuine people as well! Highly recommend!

When my brakes went out, I was pretty bummed. I opted to try Northeast Automotive. The other reviews seemed overwhelmingly positive. I was treated very honestly and respectfully. I received a fair price on repairs. The job was done in a day, and after I was told it was all set, Cliff found a faulty part that he personally ran out to get and install (without charging me for it). Who does that? Apparently Northeast Automotive. I'll be taking my cars there from now on. Thanks again!

I took in a late model s-10 after purchasing to have them check it over and make any necessary repairs to get it in good working order. They made over $2,500.00 worth of repairs. I drove the s-10 off their lot and within 30 miles the engine failed. I took the engine to another mechanic to have another engine installed and he stated that the failure was likely caused by silica getting in the oil which was probably caused by one of the repairs he identified on their repair bill. My total cost for new used engine to be replaced, etc. was $1,500.00. They are refusing to reimburse me and are requiring I pay to have an oil sample done to test the oil. Cliff, the owner stated this oil test would run $400.00 and that he would split it with me. The first lab I called to run a test told me $25.00 to run a test on it for contaminants or other silica. I will be having my own test done on the oil and turning the matter over to my attorney. I would say Northeast automotive probably does a good job overall (based on the reviews here), but good luck getting them to file an insurance claim without 100 percent documented proof they caused damage to your vehicle. would recommend going down the road and will be doing exactly that in the future.

I originally chose this shop based on the reviews and I m glad I did. I ve had my vehicle serviced here twice and each time the service has been exceptional. Super friendly staff, reliable, quick service and fair prices. If we ever move I d still make the drive to see these guys!
