Car wouldn t start last week and died a few minutes after jumping it. Had an unsatisfying run with the Fuller Ave AutoZone (none of their testers were working, and they tried scamming me into a new battery without even looking at my alternator) so I took it to Midas right after. The next day, Midas on Plainfield quoted me $1900 to do the bare minimum on my Fusion I was gutted. They said too it wasn t safe to drive past a couple minutes.Regardless, I drove 13 minutes to Cascade Cars on Leonard (with no hiccups) and Jeff was able to get it fixed up for $470.Been a week now and she s driving good as new. I saved 75% of what I would have spent at Midas on Plainfield, just by getting a second look.So thankful I didn t bite the bullet for the quicker fix, and shoutout to Cascade Cars! Won t be going to Midas again.

We started bringing my car to Midas after frustrations with dealer repairs over the years (lack of appointment availability, expensive basic fixes, and having to redo work that was supposed to be fixed). Midas has appointments available much sooner than any other car repair shop I ve been to. They communicate quickly and professionally. The service advisors and technicians are competent and friendly. The prices they quote are fair and far from overpriced for the work needing to be done. I had a bolt come off of a front piece of my car yesterday morning. They got me in for an appointment only a few short hours later and within 25 minutes of arriving I was back on the road with the bolt replaced - and they refused to let me pay. I have been to both the 28th street locations and Plainfield location and my experiences ring true for both locations.

Had alignment there that was not done properly. I noticed the day I drove off and I have the documentation from the report they gave me to prove it. They said they would have never let me leave with it like that but they literally gave me documents that showed the alignment was not right (I have pictures if anyone wants). They agreed to fix it but blamed me for hitting a pothole which was impossible as it had only been a week and I had not driven anywhere but home. They were deceitful in other practices including they said they would "throw in wipers" with my 2600 dollars of work and proceeded to charge me for the labor to install them. They did not offer me a refund for that. Do not go back. Avoid please save yourself money. I feel let down and misled and I would have liked honesty and a refund for those wipers.

The manager (Tone) of this Midas Service center and his technician treated me with honesty and respect. They quickly identified and repaired my suspension problem and did not try to sell me on parts that I did not need. The car drives like new now. I highly recommend this Midas as a reliable, trustworthy, knowledgeable service business to all who have need of auto suspension work!Service: General repairs & maintenance

They didn't fix the problem I brought my car in for. They sold me tires I didn't need and actually made the problem worse.

Great guys. I have a new car on order but on my current the muffler dropped off and I had another leak. Based on where the breaks were it was going to be $1000 to fix so I decided to live with it as is. I expected a charge for labor based on the time the guys spent, but they said no fee. Good people and I would recommend them to anybody.

My son and I went into Midas on Plainfield this past Saturday to have a brake light installed. An auto parts store recommended Midas. We made an appointment and were in and out in about 10 minutes! Very friendly staff and great customer service! I will definitely go back!

Waste of time..brought my car there..they had it 2 days..said they didn't know what the issue was...brought it to tuffy..they determined in less than an hour that it was a battery..so thanks for costing me a rental for a couple extra days..that's what happens when you hire uneducated ex cons!!!!

I dropped my car off on 9/11/22 to them with the intent of getting my brakes redone on my early 2000s Ford, they were quick to call me back and tell me it would be a specific amount which I signed off on and waited for a response. The next day, 9/12/22, I received a call that my car was ready but they had trouble finding parts and it was going to be more expensive. (over $600 more than originally quoted), I told them that wasn't going to work because they had not approved this with me before going ahead. After quite a bit of deliberation, I got them to stay true to their original promised price. I arrived that day to pickup my keys, payed the attendant and went out to my car I walked towards my car only to see it was sitting on the far end of the parking lot, with the windows down, unlocked and the hood partially open/not latched. Upon further inspection, the hood had been shut on a bottle of brake fluid which had punctured and spilled all over my batter, fuse box and interior engine bay. I went inside to inform them of their mistake, to which they sent an associate out to clean it. Against my advice, the associate sprayed brake cleaner onto my battery and started wiping it down with a rag. After this, the car would not start and I asked them what we could do to get it started. they jumped the battery and got it running. I (stupidly enough), I drove it home, and parked. An hour later, my car still will not start. I have contacted both the mechanic and the shop but it seems like both have blocked my phone number from their system.I have started a legal claim with their corporate office but I would strongly advise anyone looking for mechanic work to stay far away this shop and this company.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

I'm sorry but I have to change my review. The first time I went to this business "under New Management" was a fantastic experience. The second time sucked.I was told I could bring in a part and they would put it in. I make an appointment ,4 days out. I go purchase the parts. I make plans for a ride and I show up and they tell me they won't put in the part. The only response I get from the staff is "who" said that. I would not rat out a worker who is obviously in a job that has ever-changing procedures and policies. I am very frustrated by how this all worked out.Their craftsmanship is good but their management is another story.

RightWay sent me here for my free oil changes. RightWay didn t inform me it would require two of the coupons per visit- just a heads up for any RightWay customers.Despite my frustrations, the staff at Midas were super friendly. It was very easy to set up an appointment and they got me in/out very quickly. I will definitely be continuing my routine oil changes here.Service: Oil change

These guys are really helpful!! I have used these guys a several times and they were always quick to help me out when I was in a jam down multiple vehicles in our family, even when I could see they were extremely busy. Today they came through again. My daughter was taking a long car trip and I was concerned about her vehicle. The team at Midas, including Sam and Tony, were able to come through getting the repairs completed in time so she was able to make the trip with her car. Once again, Thank You!!!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Craig, Tony, and Presley hooked me up!! This is by far my favorite Midas. I usually go to local mechanic shops because they are cheaper and have better service than most chain mechanic shops, but these guys give it that local feel and they gave me the best price in town (as I sought after multiple local quotes). Will definitely be coming back.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I stopped in from out of town as my car was making funny noises and I had a long drive ahead of me. Craig, Tone, Tayven were extremely helpful. They were able to diagnose and fix the problem on the spot, including getting parts to fix the brake. They were very cheerful, respectful and knowledgeable, and very willing to take care of the problem while I waited. Cheers to the Midas on Plainfield for a great staff!

After visits with three of our five cars, we have not been happy with ANY of our experiences. My hope was that under new ownership, I'd get the help I needed with a lingering brake issue that started after they worked on my truck. I spent over $1,000 on brake work less than a year ago and the brakes were squeaking loudly afterwards (no squeaking before the work). I called and was told to "drive it for a few months and see if it gets better." It didn't, and after having another shop quote me far less to completely redo everything, I took it back to Midas to discuss warranty work with the hopes they would make it right. Nope - "you should have brought it back sooner." Huh.I was quoted ANOTHER $1,100 to fix the issue. After saying that was unacceptable, the price dropped to around $700 ("as long as nothing else is wrong"). Midas, even under new ownership, had the opportunity to keep my business this morning by fixing an issue I didn't have until they worked on my truck. They lost that opportunity.
