They don't accept warranty packages of any kind. Called the dealership they got me right in with endurance warranty they accepted.

I rarely leave reviews but I appreciated the people here so much! I couldn t get in anywhere for them to even look at my car without a long wait and large expense. I had to travel about 4 hours home and my oil light had been on without needing an oil change. They took the time to look at it, replace what it needed and was done within an hour and a reasonable cost. My new go to in GR!

Best garage in Grand Rapids. I lived in GR for the past 7 years and these were my go to guys. I've tried a few other mechanics and no one comes close to the honesty and service that Mason Street Garage provides. They were recommended to me by an old coworker and I'm glad I tried it out. They still send me texts asking me how my vehicle is doing. Other mechanics in the area (real pro auto service) have tried ripping me off by telling me I needed things fixed that didn't really need to be fixed. You won't get this from Mason Street.I kept going here even when I lived in the Grandville/Wyoming area. I had a hard time trusting any other mechanic.

My former mechanic retired and his recommendation was this garage. I trusted his word completely. Mason Street has been honest, with fast service and fixed the mechanics of my vehicle as promised. They discovered another problem, told me it was not urgent, could wait. That's honest. Going to be a return, loyal customer. I recommend this garage. Thanks Mason St.

Go here every time! Loyal customer since 2019. Always do and did a great job on each of my cars I've brought in. Wonderful customer service, also great mechanics and an honest business. Mason St has always been awesome. They were the only people my dad trusted when he couldn't / didn't want to do something. I've used them a very few times when I've really needed something but I've never trusted anyone but them. My son has used them many times and now my daughter is using them. They don't screw you and tell you that you have to have 5k + work done on your vehicle when you take it in for nuckles or breaks. They will tell you if they see something wrong and they will tell you how important it is to get done now or if you can wait. They have all always done a great job whenever one of us has taken a vehicle in. People like this you can trust. I believe they get more business over time being honest and not shoving stuff down your throat. With the exception of warrenty work or the simple drive thru oil change I will continue to take my business here and recommend them to anyone who needs it. Trust is hard to come by these days especially with me and especially with my vehicles. As long as they continue with their honesty and doing only the things that have to be done at the moment they will always have my vote and my return business.

I brought my F150 here because this is where our company has all of their vans serviced at. And other people I know have also had good things to say about Masons. Rick called a gave me the bad news that I needed a new timing belt and that it would take a couple of days to fix it, I agreed on the price and he said it would be ready Thursday. Thursday came and went no phone call, so on Friday afternoon I contacted them and was informed at the time that parts had just come in that they were waiting for and they would be starting it later that day. So considering the time frame that he gave me from before it should have been done Tuesday at the latest. Tuesday came and went NO PHONE CALL. Finally Wednesday afternoon they called and let me know my truck was ready. This was 8 days from the time I dropped it off to picking it up with no communication from them what so ever. The truck seems to have a lot more pep than it did, but the idle is rough not sure if that s just a break in thing but I assume not. This bad review could have been avoided if you would have just picked up the phone and called to let me know what the delay was. I feel the price of $2600 was fair for the work they did.Update to the post. Three months after my service Rick the owner reached out to ask how my truck was running. Little did he know that I was going to call him that day as my wife noticed I was leaking oil, which the truck had not done that previous to their service. Rick was concerned and got the truck in, in a timely matter. He fixed the leak with no additional cost to me and at this point went above and beyond any service garage that we have used. This has restored everything that he represents in the community that I have been told. I have used the garage for over 20 years all the staff are great. Rick, Michelle, Josh and I'm sure many others - they have been wonderful. They're honest and I trust them when I'm unwilling or unable to perform the work myself. They're like family! I would highly recommend Mason Street Garage! If there are more stars I would give them.

(Update 2/26/2020) - Updated to 5 stars. Huge props to how Rick and the team handled this whole situation. After I left my original review, Rick's response (which you can see below) inspired me to give Mason Street Garage another chance - and I'm glad I did. The trim pieces were re-installed correctly, and the broken bolts were replaced. Mason Street Garage is upstanding and works hard for your trust. I'll be happy bring my car here in the future.(Original Review)I visited Mason Street Garage to have them look at my rear brakes, which didn t seem to be working (my handbrake didn t work either). They said the brake shoes, rotors, and wheel cylinders were worn and should all be replaced. All in, this cost me $413 - a fairly reasonable price, I think.The new rear brakes made a positive difference, but I noticed the handbrake still didn t work. Mason Street Garage followed up with me about my visit, and I decided to bring my car back in to see what was wrong with the handbrake. I visited them the second time about a week and a half after my first visit.They narrowed the problem down to the handbrake cables, and quoted me about $480 to replace them (OEM Cables are expensive!). My car is an automatic, and I don t really need the hand brake, so I figured I d just live with the issue and said thank you but no thanks.When I went to pick up my car the second time I immediately noticed a couple broken trim pieces, where the trim piece was replaced incorrectly. Then I noticed the entire trim piece between the two front seats was loose. At that point I found out that the two bolts that normally hold this trim piece still were completely broken.I went back in and asked Mason Street Garage about the broken trim piece and bolts - the mechanic said that the bolts had actually broken off the first time I visited, and that most people don t notice that sort of thing .What a petty excuse not to be honest.Look, I get it. The bolts were rusty and it s an older (2003) car. Anybody could have broken them. But it s dishonest at best to choose not to tell me, and not even make an attempt at fixing it. The trim pieces broken were because they weren t placed correctly, which is just lazy. They said they could try putting in new bolts, but at this point I feel like my time would be better spent elsewhere.I wouldn t be writing this review if they had simply been honest and upfront when they broke the pieces and bolts. But choosing not to disclose the damage done to my car (even if it s minor damage that most people would never see or notice) is wrong.To their credit, they did do a seemingly good job replacing the rear brakes.

I personally had this place recommended to me by numerous people. Fairly quick to get my vehicle in and looked at less than a week. Got a call for the repair cost and was a shocked by the price but all in all they fixed it same day and it drives smoothly

This garage is the best in Grand Rapids! They are super easy to work with and you can even text the garage when you are not in a position to call. They are honest with you and very reasonable in pricing. I highly recommend them and will be bringing my cars here in the future. 10/10

Service was fine. Fixed our vehicle in about 2 days. Price seemed a bit high for the work being done. Front and back breaks and rotors and front wheel bearing. They charged us $1050. Called another company after the fact and they quoted us $650. Not a car guy, but I think the pricing was a bit high. Overall work was fine though and car was fixed. Just not sure I would go back for the high pricing. Thanks.

I had another great experience with Mason Street as always! They fixed my car and I am so happy with it!I love Mason Street! Rick and Michelle are so great! I love this garage. I have an older BMW. The mechanic, Dusty, always does great work on my car. My husband has a pick up truck and Dusty also does great work with that. The staff is always friendly and gets our vehicles in quickly. I would highly recommend this shop.

It is greatly appreciated to have a place you can trust to take a practical approach to repairs. My family has a wide variety of vehicles. The older cars need to be kept safe and reliable, but don't need to be restored to factory condition. Their approach keeps the wheels rolling without breaking the bank, and I have the confidence that they will do the right thing by me, keeping my us safe along the way. The quality of the work they do is first rate.

Brought both of my cars here and had some extensive muffler repairs as well as some wires and spark plugs repaired. They were very helpful and friendly, did quick work and communicated quickly and often as to what was going on and what to expect. I really appreciated the service here!

My wife and I brought our Trailblazer in to get the 4WD fixed. It was diagnosed and fixed in a couple days and works great now. Their communication was excellent throughout the whole process. Very happy to have this little shop in our neighborhood.

Very grateful to have you guys around. Incredibly honest, helpful, and kind. Never try to railroad me into unnecessary fixes, always friendly and willing to explain things, quick service and reasonable. I don't know what I'd do without you. You know they're good when the visiting out-of-town relatives bring their vehicles here, instead of their own mechanic in their own state.

Called to see about getting a diagnosis for my Explorer on Monday. Dropped it off on Tuesday, had a diagnosis with in a couple of hours, and it was fixed by 5! Great work, nice people. Loved the follow up to make sure everything was running smoothly. Thanks!!

This is an amazing place. The person running the show texts me every few months just to make sure the cars running good. I have never felt more connected with a garage before. This is where I will be taking my cars for years to come.

Feeling so lucky to have come across this place right in my own neighborhood! They are the kind of honest mechanics who don t take advantage of your circumstances or ignorance. They repaired my breaks and there was a problem w one of their replacement parts and my brake fluid leaked out, they took care of it immediately no charge. I will never go anywhere else! Best mechanics in Grand Rapids.

This place captured my heart and fixed my car in 20 minutes.Hot weather + dead battery = a very bad day. The moment I walked into that office, looking exactly like a damsel in distress, I knew I was in the right place. Despite the heat, everyone seemed to be in a good mood and happy to help even though I didn't have an appointment and they were quite busy.

From the receptionist to the technicians, everyone at Mason Street Garage is exceptional. Service is extraordinary, and they are always straightforward in information and pricing! I will never go to a different garage for my auto service needs!
