Excellent transaction start to finish. Teo was very helpful and easy to work with. He even stayed late so we could pick up our new ride! I would recommend this business to others.

So i had came to John and sons auto about three weeks ago and I found this beautiful dodge Durango. Before purchasing this vehicle I was asking about certain things that I noticed needed to be fixed,replaced or fluids needing to be topped off upon asking after test driving the vehicle I was told the best they could do was top off the fluids also the owner had agreed to a certain price and then went back on the price the second day upon me returning. Now the day of purchase I noticed there was no gas in the vehicle and none of the fluids looked to be topped off no oil change had been done but nothing I asked was done. I still drove the vehicle off the lot and said forget it I ll do it myself. Now fast forward to when I went to pick up my plate i again asked about the fluids and things like that and I mentioned the gas I was told that because I was given a huge deal on the vehicle that I shouldn t be complaining about gas. Fast forward to now I ve had the car for three weeks the check engine light has come on I take it to auto zone and what do you know a small Evap system leak pops up so I go back to John and sons auto and ask hey do you have a report showing everything that s been done to the vehicle since it s been in your guys care has it been serviced or anything and I was hit with no we don t have that. In conclusion I love my vehicle but I honestly wouldn t go through them again and I don t fault them it s mistakes I made from the very beginning and red flags I ignored. In terms of service I give them two stars because I didn t like the comment about the gas I thought that was pretty rude. As far as my vehicle as long as it doesn t break down in the next few weeks I think I m okay lol .

Teo and Jose are amazing!!!! I dread buying cars, especially used ones but these guys are awesome. Super friendly, quick, and most of all honest human beings. My wife and I love our new car and truly appreciate how upfront and honest the team was here! 10/10 would recommend highly.

AVOID. I was told by the dealer that the vehicle I purchased only had a valve cover gasket leak. As soon as I get off the lot I see that s not the caseThese guys do not know their own vehicles they don t care about their product they only care about getting a profit. They were friendly, but they don t care about you or integrity.The car has a brake line leak. I could have killed somebody. But as long as it s not their kid who dies who cares right? These people are laughing on the way to the bank. I ll delete this and put a 5 star review if they do the right thing and take this car backEdit Response to owner. Not knowing the car is exactly my point. You don t know your cars. It says quality used cars on your business cars and these cars are in horrendous condition. You told me when you sold me the car that you put no money into them because it s a business it s all about making a profit

I test drove a vehicle from John & Son's and I lost my wallet in the vehicle. When I returned the next day, the manager and associate helped me look and my wallet was found with everything inside. U guys were awesome and a blessing!!

I told them if the car is quality I would return when I m in the market again. I have a masters degree and a good job, so it will be soon.Well, it was far from quality. Car probably won t last me 6 months. I ll make sure I inform everyone I know to stay away; and I talk to 32+ people a week for my job.

We went to the dealership to test drive a car we saw on the website. We ended up testing two but when Teo saw me looking at a Subaru that had sold, he promptly brought out a beautiful Outback. We took it for a ride, made an appointment for our mechanic to look it over, and bought it same day. Teo and team were very professional and I would definitely look to purchase again!

My friend needed a vehicle. They had one that she was interested in. The guy was nice, along with the other office staff. My only suggestion would be to clean the vehicles and at least put half of a tank of gas in it. She ended up buying it, but the concern over running out of gas before the gas station was rather annoying.

2 days after buying a Ford escape from them I had to take it in because it started acting clunky. Found out it had no Cadillac converter and the transmission needed to be replaced. I got ripped off big time!

Teo was exceptional. His customer service was friendly. He was very prompt with all communication needed to secure deal. I have to give him an extra thank you for staying a little longer due to our travel from another city.

3rd generation family-owned business makes car buying painless. No high pressure. The owner takes pride in the business. Support staff Jose did a great job of making sure my vehicle was prepped for the drive home (full tank of gas, fluid fill-up, temporary plate, etc) after the sale (while we filled out the the paperwork). Nice interior detailing on my vehicle.Bring a friend to help you navigate in and out of the parking lot as it is a tight squeeze.I believe the cars on this lot are not questionable auction vehicles but are thoroughly checked trade-ins from reputable, local, larger dealerships (judging by the stickers and emblems on the vehicles).

I had a great experience buying our new car. Great customer service from start to finish. The sales man Luis even assisted me figuring out how to use all the little bells and whistles on the car that I could not figure out! Very satisfied with everyone there especially Luis and Ed. I would definitely buy from them again

BEWARE!!!!!!My wife went to look at a vehicle, she told them she was gonna check with the bank about a loan and they told her she had to sign a purchase agreement in order to try to get a loan for the vehicle. They were trying to trap her in a purchase agreement before we even went to see about a loan. Also, they are shady about their vehicles. I would take your business to another place. I will never trust this place again!

Just bought my second car from John and sons. How often does it happen that you buy the first car you test drive? Well I've done it twice within 6 years. Couldn't be happier. The service, the price this business really cares. What a pleasant experience. We ( son and I ) recommend John and Sons whenever our people are in need. Easy to deal with can find the vehicles we're looking for. Thanks Ed.

Drove from out of state to buy a car from them. They said it had an oil change and was mechanically sound. After purchasing it, found out the oil had in fact not been changed and the transmission fluid was black! Took it to a mechanic the next day again for a shake and found that it needed $2400 in work. Not to mention that it had 4 different tires on it with different stages of wear on it. I would strongly urge you to not buy here! I paid top blue book price for a lemon!

Guy was friendly. But found out after a week or 2 the egine was over heating and something was leaking into the coolant to make it coagulate. Then the serpentine belt kept coming off.

We love the automobiles, service, and honesty we have received through John and Sons. I can honestly say we have purchased at least 10 automobiles in the last 15 years for different family members. They have always worked as we were told, lasted longer than we expected, and were great reliable transportation. The staff has always treated us with high regard, friendliness, and courtesy. We will not hesitate to purchase another vehicle from them when the time comes we have a need. We just want to thank them for all they have done to help us feel a level of safety for our family only a car dealership can offer. Thank you.

Sold a 17 year old a car with no oil in it at all. Also drove the car after they had already sold it to my child. After she drove off the lot she broke down 30 minutes later on the highway in Grand Rapids and called the dealer. They offered no help and have now been ignoring my calls the past three days. Leaving my 17 year old child stranded on the side of the highway due to them illegally selling a vehicle they knew had no oil in it.

So I maybe 17 years late on this review, but I still feel I should tell my experience. I bought a a Chevy s10 ZR2 from John himself. I was a young single mom who put myself into debt to buy the truck of my dreams at the time. It was green and I was in love. I was nervous to say the least but I remember John telling me he was a good Christian man, he told me about the church he went to. The day I drove my truck home the transmission and heater core went out before I even made it home. I called him up and he said sorry no warranty. He wouldn't take it back nor would he pay for any of the repairs it needed. That truck put me into so much more debt because I had to trade it in for another truck. What should have been a exciting experience turned into one of my biggest mistakes financially. For a person to use religion to take advantage of a young woman is despicable. It was wrong then and it's still wrong 17 years later.

They try to cover up everything that s wrong with the vehicle. Called ahead to ask about the vehicle I was coming to see. Was told it had very little body rust. Upon arrival found the vehicle to have significant rust on all 4 doors so bad that you could stick your whole hand through the holes. They had spray painted it with black Matte spray paint to cover it up. Also had a rather large oil leak. They were asking for well above kbb s price for it and seemed surprised when I said I was no longer interested in the vehicle. Definitely not a place to go to.

I would highly recommend John & Sons to any of my family and friends. I just recently bought an SUV from them after my original car was totaled in an accident. I was getting weary of the car search and finding their dealership was a breath of fresh air! Luis was so kind and patient. He worked with us to negotiate a price and we could tell that he truly wanted us to walk away with something we were happy with. He was very honest and not pushy at all. I'd give them 5 stars all the way and plan to return if/when I need another vehicle in the future!Thanks John & Sons for the best car buying experience I've had!

Below the bare minimum. AVOID!!!This is a car dealer "expert" that will do little examination on the vehicles they obtain an the bare minimum in road worthy repairs before selling to you.I have purchased a vehicle from this dealer. With some desperation an a little to much trust for a small business with what seemed like good reviews. I ended up getting scammed at a total loss, because I should have known better. As should you google review reader.This dealer is fraudulent and unfortunately well within MI used car dealer laws.I'm sure they'll make up some "customer service" respons. That excuses them from screwing me out of thousands and stranded on the south side of Chicago.

John and Sons Auto is a great dealership to work with! The staff is very friendly and helpful and the prices they list are very reasonable. I just purchased a vehicle yesterday and they handled all the paperwork and got everything settled so I was ready to go the next day! This is the third vehicle my family has purchased from them and I would highly recommend shopping here to anyone looking for a good reliable vehicle at a fair price.

It is rather difficult today to find a good dealership that one can not only trust, but also has great customer service. Overall, they were a very friendly, no pressure customer experience which to me is very important as many dealers only care about pushing sales and can be very aggressive. They were very upfront about the vehicles condition, and had no issue with me taking it to have a pre-purchase inspection. My experience with John and Sons was very positive, they were willing to work with me setting up a time to look at and later purchase the car, and did not sell it out from under me as other people were interested, which many dealers would have done. Overall, I would recommend and would buy another car in the future.

I purchased my 2005 toyota sienna from john and sons auto sales about 2 weeks ago. I wanted to be able to drive the vehicle for a while before giving a review of the vehicle and my experience with the dealership. After 2 weeks of driving, I can say that I am very happy with it. Furthermore, my experience with John and son's auto sales was top notch. My wife and I was helped by Luis when we arrived. He was very cordial and answered my questions regarding the vehicle. Luis let us inspect the vehicle as long as we wanted and let us take it for a drive. I never felt rushed the whole time we were there. We drove 2 hours to purchase our sienna and would go back again.

Bought my vehicle from these guys. I worked with Luis. He was very nice, and made the process easy. They were up front about everything including buying the vehicle as is . I love my car! It s very clean, runs great, and great deal. Advise for those who buy cheaper cars; you get what you pay for

Such a super place! They had several really nice options in my price range, and I absolutely love the SUV that I chose. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful with the purchase process. I'm quite glad I went there, and I feel that I really got a great vehicle for a great price.

(RECENT UPDATE BELOW)I would never go back to this location- they sold me a car and told me they ran safety checks on it and that the car was in great condition, but low and behold the car needed thousands in repairs ( all pertaining to safety concerns) right after buying it.Update: Called back about the repairs and the owner offered up a few hundred dollars to assist in the costs for the repairs. Moral of the story is that they are willing to work with you on getting some help in the costs for repairs. Spoke with Ed and he was very helpful in working through the situation. I admittedly may have jumped the gun on my original review, although it was upsetting to have to pour in more money into a car I just got mere days before the repairs were needed. I understand that the car was bought as is , so for John and Sons to offer to help out is very kind.
