Houskamp's Auto Service has repaired my car since the inception of it's business and Bob Houskamp, the primary mechanic, has repaired my family's autos for nearly 25 years. Bob and his wife Donna are not only the most reliable, honest and competent auto shop we have ever experienced, they are even better people. We absolutely love them in every way.Words can not express our gratitude to this group of people.

I've only been here for a couple oil changes on my Volvo, but both times were very good experiences. I came because I heard they specialize in Volvos.Very competent and friendly staff. In addition to the oil change, I was told that several other things were checked and all looked good. I plan to go here when my car needs other service.The waiting area is very pleasant with a couple recliners, reading material, and toys.Service: Oil change

Houskamp's gets the job done just as well as it needs to get done. They never exagerrate, press you for extras, or charge extra fees. They're the most honest, hardworking auto shop this side of the Mississippi, and probably the other side too. You've found a gem. Make sure to tip (you'll want to), though they probably won't take it.Example. They took an hour to find a used sensor for me, and a specialty part for another customer in an auto yard. The specific part and installation saved me hundreds of dollars from what the dealership would have charged since they would only replace the whole system. But when they called to tell me about it they said: good news, our mechanic found two parts for two customers in one trip, so you only have to pay for half the time it took him to get it. That's honesty for ya.

Will absolutely be bringing my vehicles here in the future. I brought a car in for work I thought needed done. They evaluated it and told me it was completely fine. Didn't do unnecessary work that I would have been none the wiser about. It's nice to find an honest and trustworthy mechanic.

I have been taking my car here since I was 17, 10 years later I continue to go there even though I moved to Hudsonville. They have saved me Thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars over the years. A couple of times I have taken my car elsewhere because Housekamps was very busy and I was appalled at the prices and the lying. If they have a week or two wait to get service it is well worth it. Bob and Donna are honest and fair they won't lie to you or upsell you to make more money! Thank you Housekamps for the many years of great service and a great example of Christ!

Just the best people! Honest, thorough and I can't say enough good things! I was there for my alternator today, and just stressed to the max. These folks have serviced all of our vehicles over the last 5 years! A 2 week wait was what I was expecting and how far out they are. Lo and behold they got it done today- same day, so I can get to work. And they had to create a special bolt, for the power steering pulley -as mine was in the S shape! I cannot say enough good things about this place! We have gotten our Volvo XC90 serviced here a few times, and the whole crew is SO friendly. Not only that, but they are honest and affordable. Superior personalized service. Houskamp has always taken care of us. They are very reasonable and know we have a limited budget and they work with it. They got our car fixed much sooner than expected. They are honest, down to earth, hard working people. So grateful for their help over the last two decades!

Absolutely fantastic mechanics and awesome customer service. They do a amazing job of diagnosing the problem and describing it to you in a way that helps you understand. Always reasonable prices and they do incredible work. I can't say enough good things about them. I wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else for mechanic work.

My girlfriends car broke down close by and we stopped at Houskamp's. They were willing to look at the car during a busy week and had the car back and ready to go the next day! They were very knowledgeable, friendly, and detailed when looking over the car. We appreciated their communication as well! They are the most honest and genuine company around for auto repair. They have great suggestions and they never repair things that don't need it! In fact, they spend extra time looking into whether or not things do need repaired. LOVE THEM!! Bob and Donna are amazing in their service. We have had them service many cars for our family for many years and will continue to do so. It seems that honesty is very hard to find these days in the automotive world but at Houskamps I know I can trust their work and that their estimates are fair. Very appreciative of them.

Bob does excellent work with quality parts at very reasonable prices, and goes far above and beyond to ensure I'm happy when I leave. Add to that both he and Donna being genuinely good people, and I couldn't be happier to give them my business. Well worth the drive to the other side of town when I know I'll be taken care of, and always quicker than expected!

Been our mechanic for years. Reasonable prices. They do a great job maintaining our cars. Never try to up sell. They will tell you your options on the situation and the upside and downside of each. I highly recommend!

These guys are HONEST!!! I brought my van to them to have the heater and brakes fixed. They could have done the work and charged me, instead they inspected the vehicle and determined that repairing it would not only be more costly than I expected, but it would only be temporary and advised me to just replace the vehicle. I've never had a mechanic do that. Very please with them.

Hauskamp's is great. They gave me an excellent price on service, timing was spot on (actually faster than I expected), work was done above and beyond what I expected. Always great to find an excellent auto mechanic.HINT: If you are trying to call. Leave a long voicemail and they will probably pick up the phone, it's a small place but they want to help you out!

I wish that every mechanic was as honest and personable and knowledgeable as Bob. I took my boyfriend s jeep in because the drive propeller was making a clicking sound as it accelerated Near the front left tire. When Bob heard the sound it was making and saw the underside of the car, he did not feel safe with me driving it home to wait for another day. So he ordered the part and stayed late to make sure that it got in so that I wasn t driving home on this vehicle. He said it was very close to coming loose in windmilling out of control, causing damage the rest of the car and it could not wait. I understand exactly what he was talking about because he took the time to bring me back into the garage, with the car lifted up, And show me with a flashlight what this drive propeller looked like compared to what the other, safe, Drive propeller looked like. With such a large part and vital timing I assumed that the bill would be huge, but it was the most reasonable mechanic bill I ve ever had. I would recommend Bob Houskamp to everyone.

Solid work, solid communication, fair price. Houskamp Auto never disappoints. They usually offer us 2-3 options on how to fix an auto, which I appreicate. They always air on frugality (but a job always done right and well!) which speaks to my Dutch heritage :) I HIGHLY recommend Houskamp Auto!

Love this place! Very organized, knowledgeable, and timely. They keep detailed notes, so upon returning they know what they've done, recommended prior, etc etc.They communicate very well. The auto work done is top notch.
