This is the ONLY mechanic (besides my dad) I will go to, they went above and beyond!! My Prius needed tons of little things done to it, and the mechanic knew I'm not rich, so he actually took the time to go get the parts off of the Prius at a local junkyard to save me money! He explained EVERYTHING to me over the phone and patiently answered every question I had. I am forever grateful to have such a kind and honest mechanic right down the road. And it was done in only a day! I expected to not have my car for 2 or maybe 3 days, so that was a nice surprise!BONUS: They have a really cool Espresso machine in the lobby!!

Had a great experience with the installation of a new hybrid battery, after the original reached over 400,000 miles. They offered an extremely competitive price, on a Toyota battery, along with the availability of a loaner car. Replacement was accomplished in shorter than the promised time and communication was excellent. I highly recommend this place!

I am fairly new to the area so I am not familiar with any mechanics. I was having issues with my charging system so I Googled local repair shops. I went to a place that sold vehicle parts who then led me to Ervine s. They tested my charging system and completed a multi point inspection. They took pictures of everything (which I can appreciate)!!!! My alternator, left windshield nozzle & stabilizer bar was replaced. The customer service was grade A+++ Mrs. Jamie, Megan and Bruce were very kind, understanding and helpful whenever I had questions. I also loved the upkeep of the shop. I ve been to mechanic shops that had oil, parts and tools everywhere. Ervine s is like a 5 star hotel. The lobby smells like a field of lilies, the entire building is clean & I cannot forget the espresso machine that makes everything from a cup of coffee to a macchiato! If you want exceptional quality & service Ervine s Auto Repair & Grand Rapids Hybrid and EV is where it s at. Oh, did I mention it is family owned Service: Auto battery maintenance

I don't own a hybrid, but since moving back to Grand Rapids back in 1986, whatever vehicle I have owned (or my mother has owned), Eric and his crew have faithfully maintained. Every time I purchased another car, I have consulted with Eric and he has saved me from some potentially poor buying choices. Their estimates are pretty much spot on and they have given me a heads up many times on small problems that could have become big ones. I hope they stay in business for a good, long time!

My experiences at GRH surpassed the customer service provided at the Toyota dealership. At the dealerships, I never met the person actually working on my car, and very little was explained to me. Eric takes plenty of time to thoroughly explain the issues, and answer any questions. He does very thorough diagnostics and backs up the service. It's also great to get a loaner. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Eric has serviced my car for several years. They are trustworthy, quick and I love the (free) option of a loaner car if needed. Recently my ignition tumbler quit working and my car was towed to the shop in the evening. By 7:45am the next morning, someone had contacted me about the issue. They were able to source the correct parts, repair my car and have me back on the road the same day. The quality of service, honesty and efficiency are outstanding!

These guys are awesome. I have a 2007 Prius and needed to have the high voltage battery replaced. One of the things that impressed me the most was how Eric took the time to explain to me the whole process regarding the high voltage battery and how it s typical for them to need replacement at this age. It s clear that he loves these cars and knows them inside and out. The front office staff is friendly and helpful. The whole experience was wonderful.

I have been an exclusive customer of Ervine's/Grand Rapids Hybrid since I found out about them three years ago. They do honest work, take the time to explain it to you, and truly treat you like family. The free loaner car makes it so easy to go about your day as normal -- from start to finish, they make the customer experience exemplary. Could not recommend more!

THE nicest family owned business! Our Prius' dashboard lit up on the way back from vacation up north in Traverse City. We stopped into a local mechanic where we broke down but they were unable to diagnose our problem, so we then towed it home to the dealership, and then finally to Grand Rapids Hybrid after a friend recommended Grand Rapids Hybrid-we only wish we would have taken our Prius there first! Megan was so friendly and calmed us down, and Eric took time to greet us when we pulled in and explain what was going on. We are so grateful that we now know a mechanic we can trust. THANK YOU!

Bruce was extremely helpful and communicative. He made everything so easy and even worked with Green Bean Battery to coordinate the replacement of my Prius battery that was under warranty. I will absolutely be bringing my Prius there for any future work. They even left a box of girl scout cookies in my car for me! Such a great place.

If you have a Prius and it needs ANY work done, I hope that you ONLY take it here. We drove from Ann Arbor to have our AC fixed on our Prius and could not possibly be any happier with the service. Eric talked with me for atleast 20min on the phone explaining what is happening and what needs to be fixed on our car. We had a dealership look at the car before we found this place and they were going to charge us double what we paid because they were just going to replace everything and not take the time to see what was really wrong. Eric did not do that. He found the problem and only fixed what was wrong with the car. Megan was also so pleasant to work with. Support local, support family, support Grand Rapids Hybrid!!!!

After struggling with diagnostics elsewhere, I had my 2005 Prius towed to Grand Rapids Hybrid. Eric was able to diagnose and fix my car the same day, saving me time and money. He and his staff were extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and a pleasure to work with. I now call Eric "the Prius Doctor." I will not bring my car to anyone else! If you have a hybrid in need of repair, look no further! Thank you Ervine's Grand Rapids Hybrid!

I had a great experience with Grand Rapids Hybrid when my Prius hybrid battery died (right on schedule!) at 150000 miles. Grand Rapids Hybrid gave me a lower quote to fix this problem than any Honda dealer in the area. 10000 miles later, my Prius is running better than ever and I'm looking forward to getting 300000 miles on the car some day.

Grand Rapids Hybrid took good care of my Camry Hybrid. Quick diagnosis, free rental car, and I was fortunate to pick up my car the next day. Enjoyed the knowledge they had in hybrids specifically.

I've known Eric for over 22 years now. He is the best at what he does. He is the most passionate car guy I know. I've never used anyone else since moving to the Grand Rapids area to work on my cars. Happy birthday, Eric.

If I could give 10 stars I would. The team was great, from the time I checked in through the repair process to the time I checked out. The detailed trouble shooting of my issue was above and beyond what any other service area would do. They treated my car like it was their own. Anyone that has a Hybrid, I would suggest skip the dealer, these guys know more and are not just parts swappers.

The "gals" in the office are absolutely delightful to deal with ... friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The repairs are clearly explained and charges seem fair. We will continue to use GR Hybrid for work on our Prius.

When our Prius needed work, we were delighted to know that there was such a qualified repair shop here in Grand Rapids just off of 131. The technician's knowledge put our mind at ease and in his wisdom and kindness was able to present a helpful and budget friendly solution! :D The Prius is runnin' great and is even getting better gas mileage!!!! :DThe staff is fun & friendly, their ASE certification is the highest, and their coffee is the best! :) So, now we take all our cars to them (even the non-Hybrid, lol).We recommend you give them a call the next time you need auto repair, or perhaps before you need auto repair - they have a wonderfully thorough, three-tier inspection that we were recently had them run on one of our cars, thankfully! :DBest in Grand Rapids! Google, can I give them more than 5 stars?

We have been dealing with Ervine's since 2006. Their work and expertise are of absolutely the highest caliber. Whether it is mechanical, electrical or computers and software, they are thorough quick and efficient. They work on every variety of vehicle, young and old.
