I took my work truck here after calling around and I am happy Ervine s answered. The team was helpful and efficient throughout the whole repair process. My technician Steve was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job. My truck was in and out in under 24 hours and at a price I am very happy with. Thank you! If I am even if need of a mechanic I know who to call!!

Second review as this is my second time leveraging Ervine s for a repair. If you want a good, local mechanic, these guys are the go-to. When it comes to my car, I m willing to pay a little extra if that means I get the reassurance for my car. Ervine s will be totally upfront and transparent with their pricing, what they re working on, and why. I was on the phone with Steve for 40 minutes total one day talking about the issues with my car and the customer service was second-to-none. Yes, they were pricey repairs, but again, it s worth going to these guys. They give unbiased opinions, back it up with reasoning and personal experience in the past, etc. If your only concern is price, they run a little higher, but if you want good quality care for your car with experienced technicians that know what they re doing and ensure your vehicle is good after it leaves the shop, Ervine s is the place.

Overall one of the best auto repair shops in all of GR. They did a full inspection of my Chevy Equinox. Then email a list of recommendations. They found all the issues I was having with my SUV. I could choose what I wanted done and defer other things. They also show was needs to be urgently done and what is general maintenance. My Equinox runs great after the fix that was done in a timely manner. All the workers were extremely nice and did an amazing job. The SUV running amazing after the repair and would highly recommend Ervine's Auto Repair to anyone. They also have free loaners which is great for people who have to get to work. The pricing was fair and service was as good as dealerships. Plan to use them again when either of my vehicles act up.

I love the detail I get from the technician and the ease of accessing information about repairs and their cost. The team at Ervine's has consistently been willing to answer questions and give advice even if not financially beneficial for them. So glad to have a reliable hybrid repair option!

Moving from the West Coast to MI with my Tesla, I was anxious as to whether I could find someone trustworthy, and reputable to care for my vehicle. Ervine s was the ticket! They promptly diagnosed some suspension issues and went out of their way to help acquire parts from out-of-state. Steve was very communicative from the beginning - always happy to answer my myriad of questions and make sure I was happy with/ understood the diagnoses and repairs. Megan and Jamie in the front office were always so pleasant and helpful. They also provided a loaner vehicle for the time mine was in the shop. I love supporting small, local family businesses. I feel very fortunate to have found them! What a West MI gem!

I had such an amazing experience at Ervine s - I m almost looking forward to my next need for car repair/maintenance. Steve is personable, professional and very helpful. Meghan and her mom are an incredible front house team. They totally took the pain out of car repair - complete with a loaner car, wonderful service and dare I say .new friends?!?

The service and experience at Ervine's is out of this world. Everything you would expect from a world class dealer but never get elsewhere. The commitment to quality and diagnostics is incredible. These kind folks keep you informed every step of the way in ways I never experienced before. I'm very happy with the team at Ervine's Auto Repair, I'll never go elsewhere!

My experience with Ervines was very good. I was concerned about my hybrid because It was only built for several years by GM. Ervines was very up front about all issues and talked me through them. Much better than the Buick dealership would have. Also I was not shocked at the cost. The people there are super friendly as well.

Over ten years after moving an hour away (and missing the reliable service I always received at Ervine s) I brought our Crosstrek in when a major repair need came up that I didn t trust to anyone nearby. They did excellent work on the car, were fantastic at communicating, there were no surprises and we are happy we drove the extra distance to come back to them.

I had the BEST customer service experience during a really bad time with my car. Megan, Steve, and the crew helped me come to terms with a situation where it wasn't really worth the repairs needed to fix my vehicle. They gave me a myriad of options and lots of professional advice, but I never felt pressured one way or the other to make the decision they deemed best. Ervine's left it up to me to make the best decision for my situation. They also were incredibly kind and gave me a couple days to decide and let me use their loaner car so I was able to get to work. I was treated so well by everyone that I highly recommend this shop to anyone who needs fair and honest advice about what needs to be done to their car with repairs. Unfortunately for me, I didn't get beyond the diagnostic part of service as it was better off to let my 2012 Mazda CX-9 go without a new engine, but I would go back to them with any other vehicle. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

They did over $1200 in unneeded front suspension work that didn t touch the problem. They also replaced spark plugs for nearly $280 that I later found out had already been replaced less than a year prior. If you enjoy wasting money on unneeded repairs, bring your car here.

I can t say enough about Ervines. The service was cheerful, helpful, thorough, and transparent; all the things you always wish your mechanic would be. As a single woman having a safe and reliable car is a priority. I actually drove away confident that my car was taken care of thoroughly. They take pictures of everything and take the time to explain everything. When at the desk you have a computer screen facing you that mirrors their screen and shows you what they are doing and talking about. There was zero intimidation- actually the opposite! Megan creates a warm and helpful atmosphere and they are informative without the mansplaining. I felt like they enjoyed helping me and answering my questions. And most importantly: they are experts in hybrids/ev. and brought things to my attention that my ex-mechanics did not catch even though I had asked them to inspect everything. It was a pleasant experience and I am grateful for the peace of mind.

We have brought two of our cars to Ervines and both times have been so impressed with the service! The most recent time they provided us with a list of repairs they suggested for our 2009 Prius. We were able to overview and decide what we could afford at the time to do and what was most needed. We never felt pressured or treated negatively that we couldn't do all the repairs at this time. It was so refreshing! We needed a new part for our trunk, they were able to find a used one they could paint match to our car to save us some funds and it looks perfect! We will continue to use them as our shop for both our full electric car and hybrid!

Ervine's diagnosed my vehicle and inspection was very thorough(bad ecm).. i was told transmission was bad by other shop..Communication and follow up and explained procedures and processes that was easy to understand. They helped facilitate my vehicle on-site while waiting for parts..unfortunately parts for my vehicle were not available, i was refunded and Would recommend them for anyone who needs expert diagnostic skills.

Ervine s did a great job detailing exactly what my 2018 Jeep needed. Great communication. Detailed explanations with pictures. Offered me a loaner car. I will definitely be taking my Jeep here again!

Great service! I had a thorny problem with my hybrid and the good people at Ervine's led me through my options. Ultimately, I/we decided it would be best to let the car go to the big junkyard in the sky. Even then--when there was no more money to be made from helping me--Ervine's went above and beyond to connect me with someone who purchase it for fair price.Service: Electrical repair

My wife has used Ervine's for the past 12 years. So when my 18 Jeep had issues I brought it in. The diagnostic test they do covers everything. We found the immediate remedy, got it fixed and I haven't had any issues since. I'm so happy I went with Ervine's. "We might not be the cheapest, but we are one of the best." Steve is a great mechanic, a great person and is completely honest. I know he cares about the customers bottom line and I will be a return customer.Service: Electrical repair

Very knowledgeable about the vehicles they work on. I brought my 2011 Prius in, and was very happy with the level of care, attention, and explanation I received. The staff is incredibly friendly, and you can tell the people working here care about what they do. Nice waiting area with good coffee. Ervine s Auto Repair are absolutely amazing. Megan and Steve were both very helpful every step of the way. I had to get my Black 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe fixed right away (a month or two back) and they fit me in as soon as they could. I needed a loaner vehicle while they fixed mine which was a serious life saver since I have 3 small children. The Tahoe was a gift but soon turned into the most stressful headache.My husband and I had taken my vehicle to a different auto repair shop before going to Ervine s Auto Repair. They fixed a few things but they weren t able to fix one of our major concern. Which was an excessive amount of smoke from the exhaust; which happened anytime I turned on the Tahoe whether we frequently used it or it was sitting for a few days. That auto shop recommended an engine swap or rebuild as well and they would outsource it to a third party; needless to say we didn t go with that.Anyways Ervine s Auto Repair were so helpful and understanding. The day I was supposed to drop off my vehicle to get it inspected, my Tahoe wouldn t turn over at all. I called them and Megan answered, she said for me to worry and that they would keep the loaner car set aside me and to get there whenever I could.Every step of the way Steve or Megan would explain what their guys did during the inspections and what was found. They take pictures of everything they find that could be of concern and the reasons why. As well as of the severity of getting it fixed right away or not. I never felt pressure to get more done than what was necessary at all, my Tahoe just needed quite a bit done.Ervine s Auto Repair dismissed the idea of replacing the engine since when they test drove it; it ran very smoothly even though the mileage was on the higher end. They did a testing/analysis, an air conditioning service, power steering fluid service, brake fluid service, BG engine performance restoration for oil usage/high mileage engines, synthetic oil change/maintenance, transmission fluid service.They ended up removing and replacing the driver side valve cover, as well as the left engine motor mount, removing and replacing engine air filter. They also inspected the A/C system since I was concerned why the A/C wasn t working. They found and showed me pictures of the 3 leaks in the rear lines. They gave me an option of doing a block off kit for the rear A/C lines though we opted for to just remove and replace the rear A/C lines in the end.I am truly grateful for Ervine s Auto Shop. They truly took what was an absolute stressful headache and fixed it to where we needed it to be safe for my family. Again Megan and Steve were absolutely amazing and were welcoming. They answered all my silly questions/concerns every step of the way and explained everything plainly and honestly. Another plus would be that they provide financing through their website, which is nice if you can t pay for everything out of pocket.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, A/C installation & repair, Auto maintenance, Oil change

I was most impressed by the clarity and professionalism of their staff. They responded quickly to helping me address my vehicle concerns and were able to set up a schedule to help me address further needs that my present mechanic didn t even check. Phenomenal service!! They are so thorough and explain everything very well. Their mechanic made recommendations of other things that will need to be fixed in the future but I didn t feel like I was being pressured into doing it all right now. Cannot say enough good things about Ervine s. 10/10 would recommend them for your vehicle maintenance work. Preface: If you're looking at shops solely based on price, Ervine's might not be the right fit for you.Took my 2012 Subaru here on 8.15 to have some work done. Had them do some diagnostics on my front & rear brakes. Turned out I needed quite some work done to my car that I would've had never known about myself. Kudos to Steve for his professionalism, non-biased opinions/recommendations, and all-around customer service. I really like how they emailed me a detailed description of their diagnostics (and specific breakdowns) with pictures and a paragraph description written at a reading level anyone can understand (for those who are not car-proficient like myself). Why I put this review at 4/5 stars is the price. I did noticed they charged me WAY more than some other shops or buying rotors myself from a parts store. I was a little discouraged by the total end price, but know that my car was well-taken care of and have the re-assurance I won't need to re-service what I had done for a while.Would highly recommend if you want a transparent shop with excellent customer service and professionals who actually know how to handle and service your car. If price is your primary concern, I might recommend looking elsewhere, but the team at Ervine's was 100% transparent in letting me know they're costs and reasoning behind them.Services: Auto brake repair, Brakes, Auto brake replacement

I had my Ram 1500 worked on and I had a great experience. I had my vehicle towed to the shop and they fit me in as fast as they could. I got an email for the estimate with pictures of issues. Family ran business and they are very friendly and real. Ervine's went above and beyond in every way possible. Earlier this summer I called about an electrical problem for my daughter's Jeep Commander and needed it fixed before she had to return to college. No other shop could get it in right away but Ervine's said they would make it work. Instead of having to arrange for a ride home, one of the owners drove me back after dropping it off. The problem was extremely difficult to find, having had to remove the dash, seats and much the carpet. But they kept me informed every step of the way, including photos. It was taking much longer than anyone expected and I could tell it was putting a crunch on their schedule, yet they kept on it and finally fixed the issue. The hours well exceeded what they quoted and I was sincerely worried about the bill - but they held to their quoted price. They have certainly earned my business from here on out!

I don t normally review anything, ever. But after my experience, after a first time visit and servicing, I just had to. Eric is extremely informative and broke down everything simply for a non mechanically inclined person that is myself. He also is very caring about you, your vehicle and your safety. Megan at the front desk was such a delight and was willing to help explain and break down anything from our quote. Having a portal to go back and look at previous services or quotes online is something I really like. Can t forget to mention how nice the place looks and is kept.
