Dash Doctor came highly recommended from multiple friends. Josh is knowledgeable, direct, honest, and fair in his prices. He was also friendly and respectable. If you're having electrical issues, you might want to call him, first.

A little late to the party on this review but had fuel added to the fire which brought this company back up. Sent my cluster to be repaired by this company and while they did a decent job and I emphasize decent. Colors bled and just was not a clean crisp build like one would expect when paying to get a full rebuild. Had to buy a new cluster because the one I had was not correct for the vehicle. This place knew it and still rebuilt it and sent it out. Said they tried to call me but the voicemail said a different name so they didn t leave a message and never emailed me just rebuilt it and sent it back. So now, nothing wrong with the cluster but a battery light on having abs issues told well if your abs needs to be programmed you will need the year correct cluster as programming runs through the cluster. Not sure if this second shop is lying but here we go down the rabbit hole farther. Buy a complete new cluster cuz this place couldn t contact me and upsell me a correct cluster. I say stay away this dude is highly suspect and just sends junk out the door. Save your money and find a better place that has a warranty and good customer service.

He figured out and corrected the issues, and then was willing to work with the mechanic when there were questions on the reinstall. Excellent service.

My wife and I recently purchased a 2004 GMC Yukon that had a couple inoperable gauges on the instrument cluster. We were recommended by the seller's mechanic, Dykstra Automotive, to bring the vehicle to Josh at the Dash Doctor to make the repair. We called Josh and scheduled an appointment and brought the Yukon to him to repair. Josh was fast, efficient and professional and got the job done in less than an hour. However, the story didn't end there. Upon bringing the Yukon home, we went to start the vehicle up again and noticed the whole dash was dead. I called Josh, explained the situation to him and he rearranged his schedule to fit me in the next day to make the necessary repairs to resurrect the dash. Again, in less than an hour, he made the repair and showed me what the issue was (bent plastic connecter in the terminal housing) and showed me how he corrected it. Throughout this experience Josh was empathetic to our situation, transparent, and 100% stood behind his service. Not only that, he waived the additional charge for looking at the Yukon the second time. I highly recommend visiting Josh at the Dash Doctor if your are experiencing electrical issues coming from your vehicles instrument cluster/gauges. Our experience was a 10 out of 10 and he puts the customer first. We trust Josh, and if ever we have any dash related issues in the future, rest assured, you can guarantee we will visit him again. Thanks Josh and keep up the great work!

Classy guy and great service. Had him repair a couple dashes for me now, and added trans temp also. Fast service, and even provided a loaner cluster so I could drive around and grab lunch while he repaired mine. Extremely reasonable prices.Service: ElectricalService: Electrical

I took my gauge cluster from my freightliner century, and Josh had it fixed in 2 days. Hey, Josh still had to do the speed sensor, too. Now my gauges work perfectly it's nice having my gauges being spot on, considering they've never been spot on since I bought my truck. Thanks again, Josh. I'll be back again with any gauge cluster concern again. It's definitely worth the drive to GR!

Josh at Dash Doctor saved the day for me. When I was installing a remote start kit on a Jeep Wrangler, I managed to damage a module that recognizes the key and allows the Jeep to run. Two very delicate wires broke from the circuit board in the module. Without the wires connected, the key could not be recognized, and the Jeep wouldn t run. He was able to get me in quickly and was able to fix the module. The repair also saved me from having to replace the module, which could have cost more than $1000. Very friendly and helpful. Was recommended by a member in the Chevy Avalanche forum, where I have consistently gotten solid information; I googled DashDr LLC and the reviews were around 4.8, so I thought it was a good risk. I was WRONG! Unprofessional company with very poor customer service. 1. The website is so convoluted, it's unclear exactly how much everything costs. No problem, I'll just call and clarify what I want, which I did, and even wrote my requested service and details on a note shipped with my cluster. I spoke with "Josh" and CLEARLY explained to him what I wanted done. He gave me a round about price, which I thought was kinda weird, and I shipped my instrument cluster to him with written instructions and my contact information. 2. Two or three days later I emailed him to check the status, with no response, so I called. He said he had just emailed me (Which I didn't receive. Checked spam folder and nothing there). He told me my repaired cluster would be $304.61, which was more than I anticipated, but okay. 3. He mailed out my cluster, did not send me a tracking number or method of delivery, and DID NOT INSURE IT!!! I received my cluster with a cracked lens, and it did not have the face that I specifically requested. The chrome was not there, the type of face was wrong, and the needle caps were different than HIS PICTURE I referenced from HIS SIGHT. He told me I would have to pay an additional $100 approximately for the face I was supposed to receive. He offered to send me a used lens for around $35, or $50 for a new one. He said he would cover the shipping. He told me I needed to go to the post office and file a damage claim. Once I got to the post office (burning my gas and time, sitting in traffic and waiting in line in the post office), the postal clerk basically said shame on him for not packaging the cluster properly, and not insuring it. They explained I was only covered for $50, because Josh didn't insure my >$300 cluster, and I would have to turn in my cluster to the post office to receive the $50 claim amount.This whole process has been very irritating, especially the nonchalant attitude I have received from this company. It's been a very long time since I've received this level of poor and unprofessional service, but it tends to be the trend nowadays. I should have used the other site I came across. I would NEVER RECOMMEND this company!

Had my compass repaired and Josh did a good job with a fair price. When I got it home and went to install it i seen there was an accident. Contacted Josh and he said he would gladly take care if the issues. Will take stuff there in the future if needed. Thanks Josh.

I was apprehensive at first because it s not a store front, it s a residence, but he came recommended from my auto shop. He was very nice, gave me a loner, it took 1 hour! It was WAY cheaper than buying new and even refurbished AND because it s your unit there s no programming or losing data! I will be a repeat customer and recommend him to everyone I know. I d rather use my money locally than give to a dealership! And this experience was so much easier!

Absolutely outstanding service! Had the instrument cluster for my 2004 Chevy Impala rebuilt by Dash Doctor and I couldn't be happier!!! They did an excellent job and the turn around time was impressive! They got my gauge on a Wednesday and I had it back on a Friday!My cluster was cleaned thoroughly and all the bulbs were replaced as well! My only regret is not going for some upgrades! Well done!

Josh was great to work with. Made appt and had the 03 Suburban dash repaired in 1-1/2 hrs, as promised. Will be going back to have him install transmission temp gauge. Great asset to the GR area!

I work for an auto repair shop and we take quite a few clusters to Dash Doctor - he always does great work in a very reasonable amount of time and is very kind. Easy to drop off/ pick up as well. Saves our customers a lot of money and saves us time waiting for parts - a win all around.

Fixed my 03 Trailblazer instrument cluster in a fast and timely manner. Works perfect like new! Very pleased with the friendly and professional service! Gave it to him at the end of Thursday and was done by Friday!

This guy is awesome. My cluster was pretty beat up and he was able to get everything working like new again. I've already recommended him to a couple of co workers and would highly recommend him to anybody else having issues.

Amazing experience! I have an older Nissan Quest and the lights on the dash would go on and off making it hard to see things like the speedometer. I contacted the local Nissan dealer who told me the gauge cluster would need to be replaced for $500-700. I brought my van to Dash Doctor instead. The owner was friendly and professional. The repair was done the same day and now works perfectly. The best part was it cost less than $100. I highly recommend using this company.

A+++ service, friendly, professional owner. My cluster went out on my Tahoe. I was quoted $500 at a local shop then called Dash Dr. I was able to get my cluster rebuilt the next day in less than 2 hours!! I saved hundreds on this repair. Referring everyone I know!!

I ve been going to Josh and having my electrical components repaired for probably about 10 years and have never had an issue with his service or his prices if you need an instrument cluster repaired or just about any electron it component for that matter repaired this is the guy you want to go to. He is great people tell him that I sent you and he may give you a discount the clay way

Awesome service and workmanship. 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 hd instrument cluster - it was doing everything from no PRNDL lightrs, internittent guage malfuntion, total cluster reset, and complete cluster shutdown - called - set an appointment for 2 days later - dropped off and picked up same day - rebuilt everything and upgraded to LED lights; guarantees all work for as long as I own the truck. great experience.

It's in GRAND RAPIDS a way to go but worth it he can fix you car or truck in just a few hours, then you'll be on your way Home. He takes cash or credit card, which comes with a guarantee. Works out of his house. Very resonable price, he has been doing this for at least 10 years.

Having done business with them in the past, I can tell you first hand, they're all aces! Superior service, and quick turnaround time, without ever going back because of any sort of failure, speaks volumes about their quality. If someone says they're better, than the Dash Doctor, I'd suggest a polygraph test.

Easiest automotive repair I've ever been associated with. I mailed the cluster to him Tuesday. He received it Wednesday morning and had it fixed lays morning. I got it back Thursday. I am telling everyone.
