I called Chuck yesterday afternoon after I noticed a power steering leak. He told me I could drop it off at night and he d look at it in the morning. I called at 11:30 today to see if he had gotten a chance to look at it, and he called me back a half hour later saying not only did he look at it, but he had already fixed it. I walked out paying $118 when I expected a much bigger issue and at least a $500 bill. This is the 2nd time I ve gone to Chuck s and for as long as I live in GR, I will continue to bring my services to him. A shop in a busy part of the city with the customer service like that of a small town. Great job!!Service: Steering & suspension repair

Always recommend Chuck's! I've been bringing our vehicles here for the past 6 years and I have always been pleased with the honesty and service of the garage. They are great at explaining the different options I may have and letting me know when a repair isn't urgent or necessary depending on the severity, effects, or condition of the vehicle.

Chuck and Elissa were both very kind and very professional when talking to me about my car. Chuck even offered to come in when the shop was closed so I could pick my car up when I got off of work. 10/10 recommend this shop. Very reasonable prices. Thanks so much Chuck and his crew!

Great dependable friendly affordable and honest service. I much liked that the repair order of everything that was checked and was self explanatory and any questions i had were adequately answered. My vehicle was checked for rough driving. They fit me in fixed the problem that could have left me stranded and got me back on the road. I highly recommend Chuck's Auto Repair.

I thought this place was going to be legit , this place ONLY changed a thermostat AND some other little plug piece that cost $20 a total of $40 in parts and he charged $210 for labor smh 210!! And it only worked for 2 days smh and I told him I JUST had the thermostat replaced .. seems like they re money hungry and don t care smh good luck yall

Chuck was supposed to do a simple oil change for me but he noticed some major issues that my car needed fixed. He called me prior to doing the work and got my approval before doing the work. He charged me a very fair price and was very nice. He also got everything done within a reasonable time. I would highly recommend chucks auto!! He s the most reasonable mechanic I ve been to in GR.

I have been taking my car to Chuck's Auto for almost 25 years. He has always been honest, upfront and let's me know what he would do if it was his own vehicle. They ALWAYS call you prior to performing any of the work and give you an estimate of the charges. They will also help you prioritize things in order of importance if the cost exceeds what you want/can spend at that time. Elissa is wonderful and has offered in the past to run my husband up to work in lieu of him walking since his employer is close to downtown. I would highly recommend them!

I strongly recommend Chuck's for the following reasons:-They went above and beyond when my car wouldn't start. They set me up with a towing company, and even picked me up when the job was finished. The customer service was beyond awesome!-They were one of six local mechanics that I contacted. Four of those establishments said they wouldn't even be able to look at my vehicle until the following week. The fifth said they would need at least 3 days. Chuck's fixed our car in less than 24 hours!-Chuck himself must be a wizard because he managed to get parts and repair my vehicle for 30% less than the next lowest quote!If you want quality work done in a timely fashion, at a fair price, then do yourself a favor and call Chuck's. The experience I had there really made the best of an unfortunate scenario for me. I am exceptionally satisfied and will gladly call them again next time I'm having car trouble. Thank you guys for being awesome, real people, who make their living helping others.

Chuck's is hands down the best mechanic in the area and has the best customer experience overall compared to anyone else out there. They always give great quality services in all the years and really know what they're doing. I've been bringing my cars to them many years. They always take great care of my car needs and give me a good price no matter what the problem is.

I took my car for a simple repair last year, and was so impressed! The lovely woman up front, Elissa, gave me a ride to work to save me from having to Uber! So when my car started overheating last Friday night, I called Chuck s and left a message and I was called back first thing Monday morning. I was able to have it towed in and they looked at it and gave me a quote just a couple hours later!! Price was very fair and the work was done very quickly! Chuck is super knowledgeable and I never felt he was trying to up-sell anything! I will always recommend him to everyone! I hope I don t have to come back soon, but when I do, I will always bring my car here! Thanks again!

What a great experience! Chuck s could have easily just charged me a ton of money to replace a part, and I would not have complained. Instead, they fixed it for a minor fee.They earned my business moving forward!

When I talked to chuck was very nice a quick person at his job. I just got hung up on me by the woman who answered the call , tried to talk to chuck he wasn t available and then tried to change only one light of my car was very rude Bad experience by her customer services, everyone should be treated the same

I was still struggling to find a good garage after moving here from Ann Arbor. One of my friends recommended Chucks and I am so glad I went there. They diagnosed and fixed my air conditioner quickly and offered options in my price range. 3 months later I notice a missing cover for my fuse box when I get an oil change. I called them and they replaced it for free. Talk about great customer service!

This was my first visit to Chuck's, and I will definitely be coming back for whenever my car needs help again! My car was overheating, and they were able to squeeze me in a day earlier to take a look at what was wrong and they fixed it quickly and efficiently! They were super nice and sweet; I didn't feel uncomfortable whatsoever in their business. Unlike other big named car shops, they don't try to upsell you on "other" problems you may or may not have on your car.

Can't say enough good things about Chuck and this shop. He's done multiple repairs for me and always tells me what's necessary, what can wait (to save money). He also helped me purchase a new car by looking over 3 vehicles I may have bought and regretted otherwise, without his input - and he didn't charge me a penny. Great, trustworthy shop, and I'll continue to bring my vehicles to him in the future, though hopefully this new car will run for a while without needing any repairs :) Thanks again, Chuck!

I took my car into Chuck's last week to get a 2nd opinion on a costly engine repair quote from another shop. I was provided with a quick and accurate quote that ended up being less than half of what I was provided from Christian Brothers. They were able to get my car in right away and had it back in less than 3 business days. Extremely happy with their work and communication throughout the process. Great work and excellent value.

This is a great little Family operated shop.I have had Chuck do work on our cars and we found his work top quality at reasonable prices. Most of all, it was always done when he said it would be. And, The one time he did find something more that wasn't on the initial estimate, when he got into it, he called and asked us if we wanted it fixed while he was in there or not. He was totally honest and told us it was something that can wait, but will need to be done relatively soon. I appreciated that.There is no shortage of auto repair facilities in GR, and You can make your own choice, but I would trust this company and their staff with anything.I have already recommended him to all my friends and acquaintances via Facebook and face to face.Not easy to find places like this today. But they do exist. Chuck & Elissa have worked VERY hard - often for little or nothing just to help those in need. They especially take care of our Veterans.Well Done!

I called Chuck's to have a simple ten minute repair done, it was literally putting a bolt on my car--that's it. The woman who answered the phone was incredibly rude, she refused to give me any options as to when I could get the work done and since they don't take appointments told me she couldn't get me in for a week. When I asked if there was anyway I could possibly drop off my car first thing in the morning or right before they closed (since I live in the area and could walk back to work) the next day so that I could get my car in their line, she told me no, too bad, take Friday or nothing. There was no options and they were not willing to help me, period. I started to ask her another question and she told me to take my car somewhere else and hung up on me. There are several car repair shops in the Midtown area, not to mention so many others in GR, this woman from Chucks is not professional, rude and not willing to help in any way, shape or form so I don't know why anyone would want to take their car here---If this is how they treat prospective customers it really makes me wonder how trustworthy their mechanics are---I wouldn't trust them with my car and I am going to take her advice and take my business elsewhere.

My car started shutting off when driving and ended up breaking down in the middle of Michigan/Fuller intersection so I had to push it to Chuck's. I had never been there before so was a little concerned about how it would turn out. They offered to give me a ride back to work and would give me a call once they had taken a look at my car. They called about an hour later and explained it was just some wiring issues which was a quick fix. Got my car back for under $20.Honest and friendly - I'd highly recommend - Earned my future business

As a woman fairly clueless about cars, I needed an honest place to take my 2007 Jeep after the check engine light popped on, only 7 weeks after I bought the car!The tech at Autozone recommended Chuck's, and after reading all the other positive reviews, I felt confident entrusting them with my vehicle. I was able to get in the very next morning after reaching out to them.Though I was hoping for a simple fix, when I explained that I would be needing to drive to Chicago and back in a couple of weeks, Chuck made sure that my vehicle would be up for the trip. Not only did he find and repair extensive damage that both the dealership AND inspectors had failed to mention about my car prior to purchase, but my total bill ended up $200 less than what I was quoted, and they had my car back to me the very next day.Chuck was patient with all of my questions and gave me tips on how to keep my vehicle running smoothly. And the polite lady at the desk even chauffered me home and picked me up the next day, free of charge, so that I wouldn't have to shell out extra for Uber rides.I was highly impressed with their courtesy, professionalism, efficiency, and fair pricing. I will definitely never go anywhere else now, though hopefully it will be awhile before I have to drop in again :)

Chuck and his team will take good care of you. The radiator in my 2004 Pontiac Vibe needed changed. Before going to Chucks, my car was inspected at another shop. I spent $136 alone just for said shop to find all the leaks and, I didn t make this up, their estimate was $1400!I immediately called Chuck and he was astonished. He took care of me for $334 PLUS changed a headlight without charge.Thanks Chuck, I ll be recommending everyone to you!

Chuck and co. have always taken excellent care of both myself and my boyfriend s vehicles. Their attention to quality and desire to find solutions for customer concerns has consistently been top tier. When a local repair shop annihilated my engine (caused by a careless job on a simple oil change), Chuck was there for me with kindness, grace, and the utmost professionalism. Go see these guys for any and all repairs you may need. They know what they re doing.

My wife and I were down in GR for the day, and our power steering went out. Chuck and his staff were awesome getting us up and back on the road same day! They even stayed late to help us out. We would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for great service at a great price.PS, when you arrive you will be greeted by their sweet dog!

Chuck is honestly the most honest mechanic I've ever delt with. Chuck called me multiple times with updates with my vehicle. Was very upfront with the estimates throughout. Even said if the cheaper option didn't work that the price I paid would be absorbed into the more expensive fix. Had spectrum health & veteran discounts. Also offered to pick up and drop off! Hopefully I won't be back but if I need another mechanic Chuck's is the place to go!
